How π˜•π˜–π˜› to travel Europe #4 - Gin and Potatoes

Today was about making some serious ground. We had 700 miles to go, and all 6 challenges to complete. Our aim was to get to Ljubljana as soon as possible via a monstrous hitchhiking sesh, and then onward into the Slovenian countryside and beyond, where we could return to our happy go lucky style of adventure and complete some challenges. Tune in to see how well that went. Huge thanks to Jerry. So much admiration for this man's ethos and way of life. His kindness for other people and the environment is inspirational. Hi tom! You’ve managed to inspire me and my friend to give this very thing a go come summer, do you have any tips? We’re going to be buying a fold up scooter and getting some tents

Roman

You made my day!! Thanks for that!!

Finn Miller

Beaut of a episode. Slovenia looked beautiful and with wonderful people. Love the scene at the end! '... losing all hope'... Greg : HA HA. :D

Robert Jefferies

Sick episode mate, your face the day after the gin said it all πŸ˜‚

Graeme Mackenzie-Owen

Another great video mate! You always seem to have the best luck. Looking forward to next week's episode

Mia

Out of all the places you've been on this trip I most want to visit Jerry's garden. Those fruits and vegetables looked AMAZING. Need to go back and watch again to find out what part of Slovenia (?) that is. Seems like paradise.

geowizard

Cheers Jake! one of the first to watch it, even before me. You deserve it, thanks for your support!

geowizard

sounds great mate! scooters sound fun - maybe hitch hiking / scooting could really catch on! No tips, just create yourself some stories! be bold, be confident, be adventurous but also be careful!

geowizard

My pleasure Roman! Thanks for your support!

geowizard

It's a great country, haha I almost didn't include that for some reason, glad i did now! thanks for signing up mate!

geowizard

Feel sick just thinking about it. Thanks for all your support Rob, means a lot!

geowizard

Cheers Graeme, glad you enjoyed it. Yeah this one was a mixed bag, amazing luck with Jerry but not so much the next day! need the lows for the highs though. Cheers for signing up!

geowizard

You should totally go knock on his door, I'm not exactly sure, near Jablance somewhere? such a peaceful area, and yes, his garden was like something out of a dream world. Thanks for supporting Mia!

geowizard

Thanks Shaun so glad you liked it!

Martin Lundgren

Great work! Looking forward to next episode!

Limbo

Class as always! Would be some night out with that lot!

Konrad

Hey Tom, fantastic stuff as always. I wanted to thank you for letting us all re-enjoy this journey with you guys. All this little and mundane seeming stories you encounter along the way are what makes trips like these so amazing. The unpredictable stuff happening is always the most interesting about visiting strange places. About life in general. You captured that incredibly well. Cheers mate, really looking forward to next weeks episode!

Frank

Another great video! It's so cool to see how many people along the way are willing to help you guys, like Jerry

Harrison Webbe

Best series on YouTube! Keep up the good work!

geowizard

Thanks Martin! You should enjoy the finale!

geowizard

Cheers Limb, a good time was had by all that's for sure!

geowizard

Totally agree Konrad, it's those unexpected twists and turns and the constant unpredictability of what's round the corner that makes adventure so great. So glad you're enjoying the ride. Thanks for signing up and supporting! Peace

geowizard

Amazing isn't it, so many good souls out there. It's easy to forget sometimes, especially if you live in a city. Thanks for singing up and supporting me man!

geowizard

I keep hearing that but it can't be true! Haha thanks man!

Frank

I'm glad to help! Keep up the good work

Alise

Another great video! Well done man. MAW was a great solo man v. nature story but you've managed to exceed what made you famous! With HNTTE (did it get that acronym yet?) I think you've hit a perfect nexus of adventure and humanity. The world media is telling us that everything is bad but it's a delight to see if you go out in the world, smile, be polite then the world is ready to welcome you and we can exchange stories and experiences that only brings us closer together. I'm only sad that content like this is not prime time, if the masses were entertained with this the world would be a better place.

Kane Newall

When all the yanks smoothly tell us where they're from and then it turns to you looking absolutely smashed was one of my favourite shots of the series so far.

Nora Sander

I'm watching this with a hangover and an undefinable feeling in my stomach so I can say.. you had my fullest sympathy when feeling like shit after drinking in venice. :D And again, it is amazing to see how lovely and hospitable people can be if you just allow them to be. I'm looking forward to the next video :)

geowizard

Wow thanks Alise. I would have to agree! It's all doom and gloom on the news, but you can easily detatch yourself from that and make the world a happy place for yourself! Thanks for your lovely message and your support :)

geowizard

HAHA yeah.. I think we know who won the drink off judging by that clip..

geowizard

I don't know why I do it to myself.. ah well, it all worked out in the end! So glad it touched you, hope you enjoyed the last episode too! :)

Nora Sander

After finally finding time for the last episode I can assure you, i did. What a great adventure! In addition for me as a german it always is a gorgeous thing to hear foreign people speaking this language, it mostly sounds so much kinder in the way you did it.
