Are you doing a league on the official premier league one or just this one?

Alexander Kessaris

Would love to but can’t we wait til the messi issue is resolved? 😉

C wheeler

Glad you did it on the sun dream team one, definitely better

geowizard

I'll probably just do this one, although I am doing the premier league one with mates so could make another one on there too?

Alexander Kessaris

Looks like that’s a pretty big possibility. Tbh Man City buying Koulibaly would likely make a larger difference as their issues are defensive

Charlie Evans

Would love to see one on the FPL app, won’t go through the S*n I’m afraid - sorry to be that guy!

Baz

I would like it known that I know nothing about football and will be choosing players based entirely on how interesting/funny I find their names.

M Muno

Do you mean fantasy soccer? 😉

David Malo

Is it just me or is this site a fucking nightmare to navigate? First of all I had to pick some random uk phone number just to create an account. Now where do I go to enter this code? Or do I build my team before I put in the code?

geowizard

Completely understand haha. I'll make another league on FPL

geowizard

I hope you win Barry. Can't wait to see who you've picked.

geowizard

Hmm yeah, I didn't consider it might be tricky to set up if you're not based in the UK. Apologies David!

Baz

Got some belters in there, James Bond in goal, Jesus up front. Even managed to get you on the left wing: https://imgur.com/a/9ayuDBa

Maybe you don't care Tom, but please have a look at the overall reaction to using the Sun league on your YT post and reflect on it. It might seem immaterial to you but to an enormous amount of football fans - not just those that support Liverpool - are deeply anti-Sun, not only for the impact it's had relative to the quest for justice for the families of Hillsborough victims but for its perjorative impact on British society in general. Think back to the phone hacking scandals, Brexit, Raheem Sterling's private life, the myriad losses they've faced over defamation of character and libel in the courts etc etc. Yes we could "just use the FPL" league, but it's much more important than that and it's about making a stand, however small, to not legitimise these awful awful papers that contribute far greater pain to the world than they do pleasure. It might sound a bit over-dramatic but it really does matter that much to me, and - by the sounds of things - the majority of people who want to engage in the fantasy stuff and enjoy it over the coming season.

Daniel Burt

Sorry Tom. As there was no reply to either of my posts on this I can’t continue to support you further. I’m sure my few quid a year won’t matter to you but the principle matters to me and it shows me that you’re not quite the person I thought I was supporting to begin with. Very best of luck for your future endeavours. Dan

geowizard

Only just seen these posts Dan. I'm presuming you've gone but hopefully not. Honestly all I want to do is play fantasy football and as far as I'm aware the Sun is one of the most popular and user friendly one's available. I don't read the papers, I think they're all awful. I haven't looked at a Sun paper since they scrapped page 3. I probably am going to scrap the Sun one off now because hardly anyone has joined. That's fine. I'm not sure there's any need to go out of your way to paint me as a bad person because I'm not actively engaged in newspaper politics..

Daniel Burt

Tom, thank you for the reply. I was very cross about it last night at what I saw as inaction. I wasn’t painting you as a bad person. It was more disappointment that someone who I feel like a share a ton of common interests and attitudes was seemingly ok with dealing with such an awful, divisive paper. But I can see from your YT post that you’ve clarified a lot of your thoughts on it and I understand where you’re coming from now. Sadly the Sun and football are always going to bring out the most polarising opinions in people and now you’ve seen that manifest in pretty epic proportions. It is only right that after you corrected/clarified your stance that I renew my membership and I’ll see you on YT/Twitch some time in the future. All the best mate.

Hey Dan, apologies for my lack of responses, both to your initial comment and to this one. Sometimes when I'm busy I don't come on Patreon for a couple of days or so. Totally understand your gripes, thanks for sticking with me! Really appreciate it. Never nice to lose fans! Hope you enjoy the offerings I have for you this month. Take care Dan!
