London to Budapest - Part #3 - Bruges to Amsterdam (Patreon)

A $4 Tier Patreon Exclusive Video  

The journey continues as we leave magical Bruges and head across the flat lands of Holland toward my dark destiny with an even more magical mushroom.   

Highlights include defending the fries seller in Bruges main square from a mob of Danish football fans,  an illegal moped tow to Stijn's lovely Netherlands farmhouse, and a mushroom trip that almost ended with a Philadelphian man called Steve ringing my mom and telling her I'd gone mad forever.  

Next week we travel down into Germany, where the footage returns in force.  

Again, apologies for the longness. I simply didn't have time to trim it down due to trying to catch up with other things.

Okay so I am from Zeeland and the names of the islands are Schouwen-Duiveland, Tholen en Sint-Philipsland, Noord-Beveland, Walcheren, Zuid-Beveland en Zeeuws-Vlaanderen. I grew up in the southernmost island, Zeeuws-Vlaanderen. There is a strong Belgian feeling there, as you can see it is attached to mainland Belgium. We often went shopping/partying in Antwerp or Gent instead of a city in the Netherlands itself haha. Zeeland is quite famous for their mussels and oysters!

In this episode, Tom will insist he is not bisexual, fail to convince a black man he is not homosexual, and (possibly) avoid talking about a heterosexual encounter all in the first five minutes. As far as what I would like for the videos, I wouldn't mind more from the gopro clips. I know they probably need some editing, but I would love 10-straight minutes of watching Tom on a bike singing System of a Down. Worst comes to worse, we can just skip it.

Those have got to be some of the worst conditions to be tripping in 😂 Apart from that, I’m glad you enjoyed the Netherlands! Also, the town name Scheveningen is notoriously one of the most difficult Dutch words for non-dutch speaking people to say. I’d love to hear you look up how to say it and give it a try. Can’t wait to see more!

Amazing story as always mate! Keep on it.. love the pace. Whenever you mention an album or song, I do tend to stop watching and look it up on spotify to get a feel of that moment… not sure if it’s a good idea adding snippets of songs on there?? But as it is, it’s already great! Cheers tom, can’t wait for the next one
