What you see here is three mad Englishmen attempt to run across Wales in a single day after (and during) the biggest snow dump of the year. But why? I hear many of you ask once more.Well believe it or not this one was originally meant to be for pleasure. 46 miles through beautiful hilly terrain with no need to climb through a single hedge or hide from a farmer. It was supposed to be challenging but mostly enjoyable.. and then came the snow. In these new treacherous conditions we knew that making it to the coast before dark in the 12 hours of daylight we had to play with was going to be tight, but if we'd have known exactly what we were getting ourselves into, we may have reconsidered things slightly. The photos you see here are from the first half of the trip when we were having fun frolicking in the snow. Things would get pretty scary later on.There are no photos of the scary parts, but luckily for you lot I brought my trusty GoPro with me. This means we're gonna have ourselves one entertaining YouTube video. I'm not sure when the release date will be as the editing schedule is fairly busy in the next two months, but I'll try my best to get this one out during that time!(The video will be public on YouTube but available here a day early on Patreon)

Are those wind turbines still active as far as you know?

Steven Hocker

The legend of the biggest Nationals fan lives on. I’m sure I speak for everyone that we don’t worry how long it takes to edit, we can wait until you produce something you’re proud of. Thanks for your dedication to sharing adventures Tom! Cheers

Ah interesting. I ask because they look like the “mini” ones shown in Michael Moore’s “Planet of the Humans” which were some of the first ones built and have passed their lifespan, so to speak. Anyway, cool pics. Thanks

Can you recommend a light backpack? Running my first ultra this summer and my water backpack is too heavy

Edward

What a treat to hear this news, looking forward to watch the footage!

Oliver

Wow, really looking forward to the video!

Can't offer much advice there I'm afraid Tom. This is the only bag I've ever used so I have nothing to compare it with! (and it was like £100) Best of luck with the race!

Tom S

Thanks mate, keep up the cracking content, my mum is hooked on the USA series!

Jacob Jones

Hahaha brilliant, perfect timing it looks gorgeous!

James Frances

Dayum, did you expect it was going to snow before your trip or did it just happen?

geowizard

It just happened and we didn’t reschedule!

James Frances

Tom you’re a machine mate, I can barely open my freezer to pick out my dinner without getting too cold 😂

Jeff Erickson

Just curious, is this the irresistible mission you completed that delayed How Not to Travel America? Or is there yet something else unannounced too?

Travis

This is gonna be awesome, can't wait for this video!

Odyssey

wow so this and your next straight line mission to look forward to!!

Robert LaBella

You know, I always thought that was one of the great wonders of doing something adventurous outdoors; namely, that you never quite know how things are going to go. Hope for the best, but plan for the worst. Good luck! Can't wait to see the video.

Charley Kline

Can't wait to sit back with a cocktail and enjoy your epic storytelling about THIS new adventure!!!

As someone who is running their first ultra this summer, seeing you do stuff like this is amazing and always makes me pumped to get out there!

Wow that's crazy! Good luck & have fun!

Thanks! Doing a 50k so not much farther than a marathon but I’m extremely excited
