Beloved patreons; here is your fourth and final batch of bonus footage from Wales 4, featuring countless clips from day 4 and beyond.

This is probably the biggest and best bonus footage video I've ever done, thanks to the heavily condensed nature of that final day.

In this video you'll hear a fair bit of swearing as I battle my way through that relentless terrain and foliage, plenty of thoughts and feelings as I approach the final stages, and LOADS of post mission thoughts from in the car and in the apartment. There are some really nice moments here that rightly or wrongly didn't make the cut.

And with that, my most epic series yet has finally come to a close. Thank you all once again for taking the time to watch these videos and supporting me like you do. This is definitely not the end of the line for the straight line mission...($4 tier video coming next week!)

Beloved? Are we dead?! 💀🧟‍♂️🧟‍♀️😆😆😆 will watch later. I hope its not the end of Wales or the straight line missions 😞 love seeing Wales footage x

Charlie Psillas

🥲 Why don’t you cross Cornwall or Northern Ireland in straight line missions, they must continue!

Ana Carolina Sussel

Hey Tom, thank you for sharing your thoughts on recuperation of the body and mind after such intense experiences like the straight line missions. I think it's as important as the mission itself but it's not fairly as commented and discussed about. I'm sure you have a lot to say about the physical and psychological aspects of experiencing such intense missions like the ones you do. I really appreciate your work, sending love from Brazil.

There will be more straight line missions, do not fear!

geowizard

It's definitely the end of Wales, but not the straight line mission! Thanks Laura!

Thanks Ana! I agree. I wish I took some footage from the day after. My legs could walk but I had to sit down because I felt very strange. I kind of peculiar dizziness that I haven't felt before. I think my body may have been lacking in electrolytes, or maybe it was just simply fucked and needed some time to recover. I wonder if I would have felt like that if there was a day 5? I think not. I think your brain knows that you still have work to do and allows to to plough on but pay for it later with interest!

Tom Fly

Nice one Tom thoroughly enjoyed your adventure with all the bonus footage. Any chance for some classic geowizard theme tunes on the next bonus vids?

Hi Tom, I've always wondered why each new attempt has an entirely different route. Is it just to keep the content varied for us at home, new sights and scenery, or do you think each route you've tried is better due to iterative improvement as you learn more about what can and can't be done? Something like Wales 3 where you failed making it a clean run due to unforseen tech issues but showed was possible by doing it in two stints could have just been rerun with a fairly high likelihood of success. But that's less interesting for the viewer I suppose so thank you for putting in all the effort and risk to find and try a new line!

Hi Matt, it's 100% learning from the last time. The general trend was to reduce farmland as much as possible, especially after the encounter in number 3. In 4 it was all about travelling across as little farmland as possible!

Matt C

That makes a lot of sense. I forgot it was Wales 3 which had *that* farmer encounter!
