...is what ended up being The Shining Albert promo. And sometimes just gotta remind the YT world Albert exists. Decided to do it pretend-drunk to give it a little flavor (it's actually the same "vodka water bottle" I used for the audiobook SFX). Got a couple more movies to stick Albert into, if Shining does well - but I think maybe he needs to return for another "live" comedy album first? - where he can run the gamut of emotions and strangeness. And right now, feeling bowling alley again. It's his natural habitat for that, a giant space of people concentrating on everything else but him and his little comedy set. The soothing clatter of happy bowlers in the distance, it's such a weird contrary energy to his growing sense of doom.

Another thing I was thinking...when I was a kid, I collected recordings of old radio programs, particularly Orson Welles and The Mercury Theater, it kind of sprung out of the love for the old Twilight Zones and such. But when folks do "modern" takes on those radio shows, it sounds a bit NPR to me because it's all so polished and clear, like all the generic pro-grade podcasts. So I'm going to try and technically recreate the sound of a 1940's radio show for Albert to exist in, telling stories that are weird mutations of Twilight Zoneish predicaments.
