TAO 8 and 9 (...could use some Tao right about now) (Patreon)

Well damn and blast and ferk....movie got delayed for a week. Here's the crazy reason....the premiere was set for early afternoon, so that Europe folks and Australia/NZ folks have a chance to tune in live, and ooops - I somehow muffed up and scheduled it right at the start of a World Cup final!! When I discovered my mistake late Thursday night, I was gonna just say, ehhhh that's fine, it chops off some audience for the livestream but folks can catch it anytime after...but there's a yipes. I got curious and checked if there might be a technical impact...? Apparently this is the most watched World Cup ever, with this weekend possibly being the most watched sports events of any kind ever, so all day there's going to be a big global stress test for bandwidth and video streaming traffic, possibly clogging things down the line...

And I started remembering the places I've lived with spotty internet, like way back in the early Twitch days when I would sometimes start 30-45 minutes late because I couldn't even connect during early evening bandwidth crunches. And so I began to imagine folks trying to watch the premiere of New Dead Friends and getting blank loading screens and then video stutters and random dips into low-res....and me too, staring at the video hiccups with big wet puppy-dog eyes of regret, all the while knowing I coulda woulda shoulda just changed the date one measly weekend ahead...

So....bit the bullet of embarrassment and pushed the date to next Saturday, July 25th, 2:00pm Pacific. And gonna use the few extra days to tweak a couple last things for the Patreon-exclusive downloads (every re-render of the movie hogs the computer for a few hours). So no worries, all the same Patreon perks and fun will land next weekend just as they woulda this weekend if none of that rascally ball kicking was going on. So any Cup fans reading this, have a blast and live it up, next weekend it's straight to the cemetery for you!!! (...evil laugh.....cough..............high five)
