The werewolf and the skull goat had made their way through the forest without too much of an issue. The full moon cast a few unsettling shadows through the leafless trees, and a few branches caught underfoot certainly made them jump a little but for the most part, they had made it. Sasha’s castle loomed ominously above them.

They approached the main gate with caution, wincing as the gate screeched an ear-piercing loud squeal. The pair stepped carefully as they made their way through the front garden meandering around the ruined fountain which would have been a thing of beauty in its prime.  As they crept up the steps towards the looming front door, it creaked ajar before they even had chance to knock.  The pair cowered as they slid in through the open crack, seemingly not wanting to open the door more than they needed to.

Once inside the entrance hall, the door slammed shut behind them!

They jumped, but quickly made their way past the old piano in the entrance way and into the grand foyer, candles on occasional tables, and chandeliers on the ceiling igniting entirely on their own as they got near.  They headed up the damaged staircase holding onto what little was left of the banister. At that point the werewolf with her heightened senses could have sworn she had heard something, a piercing screech or shrill scream or something. It was probably nothing.  “Definitely nothing” she reassured herself.

Undeterred, the pair pushed onward into the corridor, but things were different.  Why did things always have to be different?

The entire corridor had deformed and warped as to how they remembered it.  Several features still looked familiar, the pillars, the ceiling, the paintings of the creepy looking people who had departed the mortal realm centuries ago...  but the floor and and walls were now grand piano. It had giant ivory keys bigger than they were tall, all of which seemed to be in desperate need of repair. Had the room amalgamated itself with the grand piano they passed earlier? They couldn’t say, but they wanted to get out of here as quickly as possible.   The door on the far side was illuminated and obvious, so they started making their way across the keys…

The two girls were relatively too small and too light to press the keys to make a sound, but they could still feel the keys move ever so slightly making their footing a little awkward. They proceeded with caution, making their way past the first few octaves.

Once they were half way through the room, the pair shook in horror, as suddenly they heard the deafening shrill of a poorly played chord on the high notes of the piano.  Then another slightly lower in tone. Then another lower still. They looked back to see keys being pressed and depressed, and as the lights flickered and the chandeliers swung violently from side to side, that’s when they saw the large approaching shadow.  Feral in form, it must have been about 30ft at the shoulders, with large pointed, hungry looking teeth.  The girls looked at each other briefly and audibly gulped.  But the shadow kept on walking, growing ever closer, its heavy footfalls pressing five or six keys with every step.

The pair fled, as fast they could! Sprinting towards the open door as the shadow beast’s heavy paws and hungry maw drew closer and closer.  Feeling their very souls get snagged by the beast, before being snapped back into their body as they exited the cursed hallway.  They had made it.

Panting heavily, the two pursued on, the werewolf grasping her plushy close to her chest.   They opened the living room door and found Sasha there ready and waiting, having already prepared the popcorn and drinks for them.

“Hey you two, what took you so long? I was starting to think you weren’t coming!”

“Next time… we’re having movie night at my place.” Sasha’s skull goat friend remarked.

The werewolf merely mopped her brow before crashing in the couch next to Sasha.  Why did visiting Sasha’s place always have to be so spooky?

------

This is a picture I’d had in my head for a while, and I’m happy I managed to get it work.  These two here are some of Sasha’s spooky friends, which were previously seen in this picture by Alterflane and they are on making their way through the rooms of Sasha’s castle to meet up movie night.  However, as is often the case in Sasha’s castle, rooms seem to warp and change from time to time, despite what Sasha might say.  This previously normal corridor now being half piano/half room.

More alarmingly, some of those keys seem to being pressed by something or someone. The beastly umbreon shadow in the background being one of Sasha’s two spirits that possesses her.  You may have even seen it before in some pictures of Sasha?  Perhaps there was a weird shadow that you’ve never seen before. Or some feral footsteps leading to nowhere?

A pair of anthropomorphic spooky beasts walk hand in hand down a room which seems to have amalgamated itself with a grand piano.  They are looking back scared as they hear the sound of several keys pressed and depressed, like a cat walking down a piano.  The room is illuminated with many light sources, and on the wall behind them is a giant feral Umbreon shaped shadow it’s paws clearly standing on the pressed keys.  The shadow has large teeth is heading closer to them!

Gosh, one of the things that I really adore about your art is how much the image tells a story, it feels like a real event being experienced by the people in the image. The huge castle, the big shadow, the two holding hands as they run, it's all very 'real' but not in the way it'd be in a horror movie, but how it'd really be when this is your friend's house and you know she's got spooky friends, hehe.

Love the story that went along with this piece, such a terrific scene!
