Rae & Cain - A New Challenger (Patreon)

Cain has made it to the Quarter Finals of the Pokémon Championship, but unfortunately he's come up against Trick, a massive fan favourite amongst the crowd! She's able to dynamax to massive sizes and steamroll her opponent and she's the obvious call to win the whole competition.

1-6 down and Rae isn't in her pokéball. What's a Buizel going to do? It's starting to look like a one sided battle!

Hold on, what's that? Breaking news!? Disaster Incoming?!

Sometimes folks approach me with an idea which sounds far too delightful, and i just get lost in the idea and make a really fun picture out of it. This was one such idea. Drawing stadiums and arenas, giant pokemon, size chains and looming Absol paws is all so very much up my alley.

Also included is an alternate version with her "Rae-Z" mega form! You can also find close ups of the TV screens and such in the all versions link.

Alt Text: Cain the Buizel is in a stadium at normal size holding a pokéball in his right hand. Looming over him is Trick the Meowscarada who is dynamaxed, standing behind her trainer at the far side of the arena.

The stadium is filled with a crowd holding up various banners and signs, and the digital displays show that the score is already 1-6 with Cain down to his last pokémon. It is not implied whether than last pokémon is him or not.

Meanwhile, above the stadium a megamacro absol has appeared and is about to stand on the entire region of the country which the stadium is in. Rae, the Absol is holding her paw above the clouds, above the viewer, as a tiny plane flies underneath it. The monitors on the stadium have switched to the news channel which is showing a satellite view of the planet with the giant Absol stomping across it's crust leaving huge pawprints.

Trick and her trainer have not yet noticed the looming threat, where Cain certainly has.
