Quick Test of the new packed primitive CopySOP support in Redshift 2.6.27. Works blazing fast and I love that it is directly supported now instead of having to use the instance node. Game changer for height field scattering and MOPs users for sure!

I will definitely be covering this new work flow + the new features in the updated height field scatter SOP in a future tutorial. This made instancing & scattering much easier in Houdini with Redshift.

I tried to render using the copy to points node with the pack and instances option enabled but it didn't work. When I try to render the computer starts to load, it fills all the available ram (64GB) and freezes. I have a very capable machine, with 64GB of ram, ryzen 2700x and dual 1080TIs. It is very responsive in the viewport though.

Something is wrong then as it should treat them just like instances, it is a bit slower than using the Instance object or Instancefile attribute but not by much. So the Object with points/copsops you turned on instance as packed primitives on the Redshift Object properties?
