I definitely liked the first movie better. This one had its moments, but it felt to me like they tried too hard to be dark and over the top. I was disgusted at the failed rape (and relieved that he didn't order one of his lackeys to do it for him) and nauseated by every use of the Sick Stick. There had to be a satisfying way for Hit Girl to get payback on the mean girls that didn't involve projectile vomiting and explosive diarrhea. I LOVED Justice Forever- it made sense that Kick-Ass would inspire more folks to mask up, and that some of them would want to be a team. I didn't realize until this watch that benedict Wong was the guy running the trafficking ring. That fight scene was great- nice to see that Wong went on to become a successful sorceror after having a dog on his balls :-) Major plot hole- Todd gave up Kick-Ass' secret ID to the MF and got Dave's dad murdered. They weren't gonna deal with that? Maybe if there'd ever been a third movie---. I wish they'd done a Part III while the actors were still young enough to pull it off. I suppose they could do a real time lapse- show us what they're doing ten years after this movie. I guess she's Hit Woman now :-)

I think a great franchise for Roxy and Tara to checkout together would be the Lethal Weapon franchise. Not for who is in it, but that franchise’s writing and humor is consistent throughout, and this franchise is the perfect example of how to write new lead characters each film to join the main group of leads and still giving each character a moment to shine. Nobody ever feels like they are short changed or the character does not need to be there.

Yeah it's a big separate the art from the artist but it is one of the most consistent action franchises of all time! - PLD
