Daniel Radcliffe had starred in a movie for the BBC which prompted Columbus to convince his parents to get him to audition (Columbus tells this story in the reunion special HBO did a few years ago).

And yes, the jelly beans you can get at Universal and elsewhere do have the terrible flavors mentioned in the film and many more … I’ve had the vomit one and it does indeed taste like it. I hope the people who designed it got paid a lot to ensure such accuracy.

One complaint I have about the series is that the kids are carried by the charisma of their actors. Otherwise they kind of butcher them. Harry is way more angry and aggressive and Ron isn't that dumb and clumsy. And Hermione is supposed to constantly crack under pressure.

Idk if you've watched Community, but the guy announcing the Quidditch match, Lee Jordan, is played by Luke Youngblood, who plays Magnitude (Pop! Pop!)

I always forget the American copies of this movie are "Sorcerer's Stone" but everywhere else it's "Philosophers Stone" I heard it was because they didn't think at the time that american children would know what a philosopher was which is (I feel) something very easily taught but lets just change the title (not sure if they changed the dialogue too) that's simpler lmfao!! 🤣🤣 P.S I'm going to watch this after I watch the Notebook for the first time tonight so then after the notebook tears out my heart (judging by the thumbnail) Harry can then use Reparo to mend the broken pieces lol solid plan 😅❤️❤️

I love all these movies and i didnt grow up on them found them as a teenager and still love them to this day. watch them probably once a year so im excited to see your guys reaction.

I don't specifically remember the books.Unfortunately, but in the movie, there is a deleted scene after the troll scene where Harry thanks Hermione for what she said and Ron was like we did save her and Harry says Well she wouldn't have needed saving if you didn't say what you did about her. Ron goes well we weren't friends before and he and hermione share a look... something like that lol

Daniel Radcliffe already was an actor when cast in HP. He played David Copperfield in the BBC miniseries from 1999, which helped him get the role as Potter.
