Did I miss Dexter 1&2? I can't find it anywhere.

Im so glad you guys are continuing this! For the question: We see Dexter be very socially awkward around people, not really liking people, having to put on a mask to hide the "monster". But he seems to have soft spot for kids. When we see him interact with Rita's kids he seems really good with them and doesn't seem as strained to keep up a front and acts genuinely caring despite him saying he doesn't have a heart. Why do you think this is? Do you think he just finds it easier to interact with kids or do you think there's a deeper meaning?
