Literally yesterday I was looking to see if anyone reacted to IT yet 🙏🏾🙏🏾

Jaden Rhodes

It Chapter 1: Bill Skarsgård is amazing as Pennywise, I’m curious if y’all have seen the 90s version, and if y’all’s prefer Tim Currys version of the character.

Hey guys! Hope you enjoyed your watch of It! While I do enjoy this movie I was sad to see so much CGI use when the original TV film had so many practical effects that were terrifying. Did the CGI bother you at all? Again still enjoyed the movie and performances, it was just a let down for me after being terrified of Pennywise when I was younger because of how real everything looked.

Tara and Andrew.....watching all the things I love lately! LFG! So, I have a complete phobia of clowns due to watching the OG IT movie as a kid. (Adults in goofy makeup hanging out with kids just creeps me out) What is your greatest phobia? Is it realistic or unrealistic?

AWESOMEJoe Movie Reviews

This movie is a masterpiece, the original 90's "IT" did not terrify me in the way others say it was. But I remember going into this movie in the theaters extremely terrified and excited and leaving the theater very entertained, satisfied and I couldn't wait for more. It's my go to movie to watch every Halloween season. My question for you is: "What would Pennywise show you of what you are terrified of the most?" Nothing personal, like for myself is heights. Other examples like spiders, snake, clowns, claustrophobia, etc. Thanks so much for your answers, keep on living the dream and as always STAY AWESOME 😎 👍👍

It: Georgie’s death was tough to watch. Is there a child movie death that really affected you? My Girl, Quiet Place, Hereditary, etc.

Tara and Andrew.... As a huge fan of these movies and the OG from 1990, including the book, I'm curious to know if you think there is much of a difference between the newer cast of children to the ones from 1990 in character dynamic as a side by side comparison? Personally I think they are more fleshed out in this one but not by a great margin. As a side note, I had the pleasure of meeting the original cast of the kids from 1990 at a horror con a few years ago, and they were the nicest bunch of people I've spoken to at any convention I've been to.

Hope the both of you enjoyed It! I was never afraid of clowns like others are; I just find them a bit goofy. Clowns aside, what are some phobias that you guys have? For me, it is heights; I get the spaghetti legs.

this is one of my favourite films of all time so I am very glad to see you both react to it! - the duffer brothers have said that a lot of the inspiration for Stranger Things came from It (set in the 80s with a group of kids fighting a ‘monster’) - whilst there are some very clear similarities storywise and with some of the characters (beverly and max are my two favourites from both pieces of media and I see a lot of the same traits in both of them) what are the key differences between the two in your opinion that set each of them apart and make them very enjoyable in their own way? what are some other similarities you can see?

IT CHAPTER 1 (Tara & Andrew) - Question which of the kids personality were you the most like there. For promotion of It people tied red balloons to sewer grates it freaked out more adults than kids like there.

Tara & Andrew love you guys! Question: Were you expecting how brutal the movie was immediately with the kids' deaths? Did you think it was just the right amount of dark or too wild?

I read the book couple years ago (over 1000 pages lol) and it has a more mystical and surreal aspect than the movies. The book portrays the kids as coming of age teens who are becomimg very curious about the adult life as they pre-mature. Since they are an age where kids are usually at their worst emotionally (puberty sucks lol), IT prefers to attack them compared to adults who lost all kinds on innocence (aka childhood fear). The controversial sewer scene (after IT gets defeated the first time) was supposed to be a pivotal point where this group of friends transition from their childhood feelings to their adult desires (which is important in the second half of the book). They get lost in the dark through a labyrinth of sewer tunnels and are having a big falling out (probably due IT manipulation). But after the act, their bond becomes stronger again symbolically and they find their way out of the sewers. Its implied there is another greater neutral mystical force (called the Other) who is stronger than IT and is guiding them into defeating this creature who is not supposed to be in Earth to begin with. Another smaller force (who is good) is called The Turtle & is personally guiding Bill since he represents the leader of the group . IT chooses to be the clown mainly to attract kids, but in the book he has a lot of insane forms including a werewolf, mummy, pirahnas, shark from Jaws, zombie kids, flying leeches, mist and way more. Plus the reason the town doesn't acknowledge the murders is all because IT is making the adults forget and controls their minds, not out of the negligence of parents. The movie simplifies all this aspects and removes any references to the other two forces to avoid any confusion and that scene is hated among the public. Do you guys think Stephen King was out of his mind during the writing of the book and the movie did a better job to represent the Loser's Club friendship?

Leon03

The creature (It) true form is described as an endless hairy creature made of orange light which the human mind can't comprehend without turning insane. This true form is only shown to those who stare at his "Deadlights". When the kids fight IT in the sewers, the creature chooses not to shape-shift and "unmasks" itself to them. But their minds simplifies the creature's true form as a macabre & "hellish" giant black spider with a venomous sting (described as looking as something from an insane nightmare) as that's the closest interpretation we could come up as humans to its true form. Bill almost loses his mind (and almost sees his true form), but he is saved when the creature gets wounded in "real life" by the rest of the group in a sort of spiritual ritual called "the ritual of Chud" where they emotionally fight It through their minds rather than physically. Do you guys think having Pennywise as the final form is better?

Tara & Andrew for It (2017) Which scene do you think delivers the most powerful combination of horror and character insight? Trivia: Bill Skarsgård didn’t need any special effects for Pennywise’s creepy, cross-eyed look, he can actually move each eye in a different direction on purpose. It’s a weird party trick he’s had since childhood just to mess with his brothers During filming, the kids didn’t actually meet Bill Skarsgård in full Pennywise makeup until they shot their first big scene with the clown. The idea was to get real, honest reactions
