Terrifier 2: This movie has some incredible practical effects, it makes these movies completely worth watching for that alone. I do wish this one was a bit shorter, I think movies like this are perfect for that 90 minutes to 100 minutes runtime, this being over 2 hours makes it feel bloated in certain parts.

The Black Phone: Ethan Hawk as the Grabber is fantastic, I’m curious how the sequel plays out after how this movie ends. But how do y’all feel about the Grabber, and do y’all think he is one of the better modern day villains for horror.

Nick@night

The Black Phone: Hey triple threat rejects!!!!! This movie gives me chills seriously but I love it. What’d you think of Ethan Hawke’s performance as the Grabber and how much of a roll his voice played since you couldn’t see his face clearly? Stay minty Rejects!!!

Eric Horstman

Hey J.A.T., This one ups the gore, but also storyline & acting is 100 % better ( ❤️ Lauren Lavera…I’m bi but only for you.) What’s worse in your nightmares the magician’s bottom to top saw in half in 1 or the mesmerizing bedroom torture scene in this one?

thomas dougherty

Terrifier 2: This movie is very different from the previous due to the amount of back story and character development between art the clown and sienna. Did you enjoy those editions to the movie and getting to know more about this world, or did you prefer the more simple slasher premise of the first movie? Great job as always!

Hasena Ali

The Black Phone - Greetings from Oxford, UK! Hope you’re having a great spooky season! When I saw this film, it reminded me of Stephen King stories like It, I was surprised to find out that this story was written by his son Joe Hill. Are you excited for the sequel? I am avoiding the trailer but the only thing I know is that it is being compared to A Nightmare on Elm Street: Dream Warriors

jaynguin

Terrifier 2: With how gnarly and twisted Art is, do you think he's up there in terms of just outright evil with characters like Freddy Kruger and Michael Meyers? Yknow... since Art makes sure you feel it instead of just going for the unaliving.

PierretheReject

Terrifier 2: What is the craziest kill you've seen in the franchise by now?

Lauren G

Black Phone: do you have thoughts about what the sequel might be about? Or what you’d like to see in it? I’ve avoided the trailers, so I’m enjoying pure speculation about it for now.

Riley Petersen

Terrifier 2: Somebody get Tara a hug and some water. Roxy mentioned that she considered this the scariest movie she’d seen, would you all agree? Personally the bloated runtime and dragged out kills caused it to lose its shock/scare factor and become more of a showcase for their incredible practical effects

Nikki Sonrisa

The Black Phone: Hey John, Andrew, and Aaron! This movie was not what I expected and I love that. What do you think of the theory that the Grabber was also clairvoyant? I’ve seen this speculation online before and fully believe it. Would you want to see a prequel about The Grabber’s origins?

ResonanceZ

Terrifier - Hope you all enjoyed the movie! Terrifier 2 is definitely one of my favorite horror movies now, no small part due to Art and Lauren Lavera (awesome final girl btw!). Question! I have loved horror movies for as long as I remember, but I do know I’m a bit desensitized. Do you think that after watching this movie it will also desensitize you a little bit to other horror movies? Also, 1 to 10, what is your “excitement” level for Terrifier 3?

Mister Meowski

Terrifier 2: Hey there Rejects, sending lots of love from Seattle area! What do you think/which do you prefer about the methods of making you feel “grossed-out” or squeamish in this movie (using practical effects to an extreme), vs. a movie like Hereditary or Rosemary’s Baby where the tension comes from the “waiting for something bad to happen”. both types of movies make you FEEL bad, but in very different ways. Do you think graphic practical shots are a “cop out” for making someone squirm?

ResonanceZ

Black Phone - Looks like it's horror Thursday for you guys too! I'm a huge horror fan so you guys definitely make my Thursday every week! My question is a more of a broad one. For your horror villains, do you prefer a more grounded and realistic villain or a more fantastical and supernatural one?

Kev B

John, Aaron, & Tara for Terrifier: What do you think it is about Art the Clown that sticks with you long after watching Terrifier? Is it the sheer brutality, the way he never says a word, or something else that makes him so chilling? Trivia: Art’s makeup took around three hours every day to apply. The bathroom scene at the pizzeria was shot in a real, abandoned pizzeria in New Jersey that was scheduled for demolition soon after filming

Leon03

Terrifier 2: The little girl is apparently a different entity that resurrected Art from the Morgue but may not be the actual ghost of the girl but a demon. This movie introduces more story beats that get explored further in Terrifier 3. Do y'all think this movie is a huge improvement over the first one or does the gore distracts from the plot?

Leon03

Terrifier 2 question 2. This movie was beign filmed during Covid and the director took the time during shutdown to add way more gore. Specifically in the torture scene at the bedroom of Sienna's friend. Do you guys think this movie pushes the boundaries of a unrated theatrical film even further than the other iconic horror franchises?

Leon03

Terrifier 2 Question 3. Sienna in her angel warrior costume (Wonder Woman inspired maybe?) was apparently an idea that the director had for a very long time and finally got to develop properly in this sequel. It's his personal favorite character he ever created and its almost Nightmare on Elm ST inspired. Can Sienna be considered a potential final girl icon unlike Veronica from the first film?

Kev B

John, Andrew, & Aaron for The Black Phone: Did you catch the idea that Finney might share some kind of psychic connection with his sister and their late mother, or do you think the black phone is just a spooky supernatural lifeline? How does your take on that change the way you see Finney’s escape? Trivia: As a kid, Derrickson dreamed of being trapped and receiving urgent, mysterious phone calls that offered hope and cryptic guidance.

Leon03

Terrifier 2 Question 4. Hopefully y'all see the mid credits scene at the Hospital. Is this scene one of the most bizarre WTF moments in a movie ever, what do y'all think it means?

Kev B

John, Aaron, & Tara for Terrifier 2: Do you think Sienna’s role as a ‘fantasy-inspired Final Girl’ brings something new to slasher movies? Trivia: Art’s makeup took around three hours every day to apply. The infamous bedroom scene was inspired by a real crime photo of Jack the Ripper’s last victim, Mary Kelly, director Damien Leone “reverse engineered” the look to create one of the most shocking moments in the film

Jay Rushton

TERRIFIER 2 (John , Aaron & Tara) - Like this movie with plot is gross and ridiculous. Question would you ever leave movie in theater because its too gory to watch there.

Jay Rushton

THE BLACK PHONE (John, Andrew, & Aaron) - Question does this movie kind remind other scary movies. Trivia back in past we used pay black phones mostly in airports or urban cities there.

Clayton Crooke

Black Phone: Other than this, any other Ethan Hawke performances worth watching? I think the only two things I can remember him being in is Purge and MoonKnight of all things.
