THE BATMAN (2022) MOVIE REACTION (COMMENTARY)!! Watch Along

Comments

Ryan Best

I was low-key hoping you'd cover the Directors cut of Batman vs Superman, because imo in the directors cut specifically its a super underrated Batman performance

Sanya Arif

I did not find the Riddler interesting (maybe its the actor) but I LOVE RPatz as both . He really impresses me every movie I watch.

The one thing this movie is missing is the building of the suit. We know nothing about it, only the few things we actually saw it do. I wanted to see a breakdown of Bruce being told everything. The injection spot for things like adrenaline or antidotes, the hidden pully systems and motors in it (if you look at the joints you can see hints of it which I think is why his grapnel gun is attached to his gauntlet and how he can pull an attachment out that snaps onto a beam so he can run straight down. I think the hidden system of pulleys and tiny motors allow the system to hold his body weight), the hidden blade in the chest, how it's so bulletproof, how the squirrel suit and parachute all tuck in, the taser in the other gauntlet, and that's just what we see him use in this film and what we can sort of make out when looking at him. Overall, I think this is my favorite movie suit (this one and Affleck's first suit). I hated the Nolan suits, especially the way the cowl squeezed Bale's face. The original 4 films all kept the stiff rubber suits which just didn't look practical to wear and use. Afflecks suits got worse in every film, ending with that horrible suit in The Flash. I have high hopes for the James Gun, DCU suit though. We'll see if it can surpass this one and Affleck's original suits. I also hope they've moved to the cape glider when we get to the next film. The squirrel suit didn't give him much control so it would make sense that he'd want to evolve it. Having the cape go stiff and act as a glider more like in the Arkham games would be a cool upgrade.

"Ava Maria" is the song the children at the orphanage, which included the Riddler as a child, sang to Thomas Wayne.

I think Pattinson was the best Batman. Can't wait to see him take on more of the Bruce role. I think he'll kill it. Cause he's just a great actor.
