Yeah love the Matrix. 🥰💕💯

The old girl still holds up. There are a lot of more expensive to make movies than this that were made more recently that don't - that's production values right there. John Gaeta really stamped himself on this movie and clearly had and was allowed to have impeccably high standards, particularly by the standards of the time - he's doing, probably ironically, AI things these days. Bringing in Yuen Woo-ping as martial arts coordinator in a western movie before that was really a thing was absolutely inspired. We might not have got him working on Kill Bill if it wasn't for this movie - these days it's like "of course that's who you get" - but back then. I wasn't around when Alien was released, but I was around for this, and it felt a bit like the world had changed, palpably - not least because it had - I imagine the people who saw Alien at the cinema felt the same way. It's not very often that movies have done that in history.

Speed Racer is very fun. I hope Andrew gets his wish and yall get to react to it eventually. This is a total long shot but one of my favorite watchowski sister movies is Cloud Atlas, and no one ever reacts to it lol. People get Cloud Atlas and Jupiter Ascending mixed up often which is why I assume most people dont watch it (Jupiter Ascending sucked lol).

Keanu as Neo was definitely my first Hollywood crush (mmm. He looks gooooooooood. And ofcourse the franchise minus the latest one is a great trilogy imo

I don't honestly know why but everytime everyone starts freaking out when he says "Deja Vu" it still gives me the goosebumps lol 😅❤️

Everything about The Matrix itself aside... WATCH SPEED RACER. Holy sh*t what an absolute fever dream of a movie. I've heard the term "live action anime" or "live action cartoon" thrown around a lot about other movies, but SPEED RACER IS IT. The style can definitely be a bit jarring, and I know has put some people off of it, but it's absolutely bonkers in a good way. Also +1 to the other commenter who said watch Cloud Atlas.

So now after watching the reaction I could make a mile long comment (like I sometimes doooo lol still might end up that long 😅) but instead the only thing I'm going to do is ask a question.... Is the "Animatrix" in the docket along with the rest of the matrix movies? I personally think it's an amazing Anthology Matrix series not unsimilar to "Love, Death and Robots" and I would LOVE to hear Tara and Aaron's POV on it so I hope that's going to be given a chance 😁👍❤️ also a HUUUUUGE "Yes" to Speed Racer it's one of those few cartoon to live-action movie adaptations that I actually enjoy! Andrew isn't wrong much on this channel (that I remember lol) so please trust and let us all enjoy his pick! ❤️❤️❤️❤️

The audio on the watch along is so low I can barley hear them speak while the movie is playing

To respond to your in video question... Yes Please watch Speed Racer. That is such an underappreciate rollercoaster for the eyes. My ADHD loves it sooooo much.
