Doctor Sleep - WATCH ALONG!!

One of those rare cases when I find the movie to be better than the book.

Stephen Hert

I’m the complete opposite. lol. Funny how entertainment tastes work.

I loved this movie sooo much. I wasn’t in love with a couple of changes they made from the book, but this was great. Loved the actress they found for Abra. The entire cast was amazing really.

I just really didn't like the step-sister part. King has this moment when everything should be explained and connected - ruined a lot of great books for me.

Yeah, Tara definitely needs a break, she looks tired and she’s done more reactions during the Halloween season than anyone else

Angela Vance

Hi Tera and Andrew nice watching Dr Sleep with you today. The child murders are fucked up. But if I could shine I'd use it for goodness. You two have a beautiful day ❤️

Adrian Wayne

Guys, how about a reaction for Dreamcatcher? Also a story by Stephen King.

is anyone else having problems with syncing the timing up right? it's like it lags for a few seconds and it makes it off. edit: nvm, realized it's the directors cut and now i gotta buy it *tears*

I love this movie so much, which is really saying something because I've always had mixed feelings about The Shining because it completely ignores the themes of the novel. Doctor Sleep is definitely a white whale in that it took out so many things from both novels, but it's still such a good adaptation. I love that Danny's end in the boiler room is actually how The Shining novel ends with Jack (him fighting his possession and allowing the boiler to overload and sacrificing himself out of love for Danny). Also King has said that he loves Doctor Sleep and he was impressed that Flannigan was able to stay true to the themes of his novels and combine it with what Kubrick did.

Andrew, saw your insta post from today about your dad. I can't imagine how hard it's been, and I appreciate how amazing you are for continuing to do these reactions and bringing us these videos that give your fans joy despite enduring such a difficult time for yourself. You're a wonderful human being <3

I love the cat so much! When I was a resident there was a cat like that at one of the Skilled Nursing facilities we used for our patients. It always seemed to know who we were going to lose that night. Apparently it’s not that unusual. My attending instructed me that if the cat was visiting any of his patients I was to chase it away immediately. I chuckle whenever I think of that memory. Sweet cat too. I have loved this film since I saw it in the theaters after reading the book, which I also loved. Mike Flanagan was the perfect director to bring the novel to the silver screen. He struck a perfect balance between the Kubrick film and the source material, and married it to the sequel novel. (Chef’s kiss). Great casting and performances by all, especially the staggeringly talented child actors! You may remember the first little girl, Violet, as the girl with the port wine birth mark from It Chapter 2. Stellar work guys, keep it up!

Andrew said that he has never seen Casablanca. That would be an awesome reaction on the channel. One of the best made films of all-time. :)

I want you all to react to more Mike Flanagan material. He is one of my favorite horror directors. Hush, Haunting of Hill House, Bly Manor, and Midnight Mass are also amazing.

Arlene Dorrough

I would like to add a request for more Mike Flanagan work: The Fall of the House of Usher and Midnight Mass are both just amazing! Please consider it. Thanks!

This is such a great movie! and I guess Jacob Tremblay played his part so well during his death scene, that Rebecca Ferguson started crying, I don’t blame her!
