Shawshank is great but The Green Mile is better. One of the greatest stories ever written and filmed. One of my top ten movies of all time. Maybe even top 5. Percy and Wild Bill are the two most vile characters ever created.

I haven't actually read any Steven King books, but on adaptions, ignoring the obvious, I remember seeing the miniseries of The Stand on TV when it was released; it always jumps out at me when I think of Steven King stuff. I don't even think I've seen it since and I have vivid memories of it - and nobody ever really talks about it. The original of course, not the remake.

Adrian Wayne

This is one of my all time favourite movies! And it's also a perfect book adaptation!

Fun Movie Trivia: The Michael Clarke Duncan casting as John Koffey was actually done by Bruce Willis. Frank Durabont sent a script to Bruce Willis to play Paul, but had to decline due to Sixth Sense, but he told Frank Durabont if you want the perfect actor for John Koffey cast Michael Clarke Duncan. Bruce said you cast him he’ll get an Oscar nomination for Best Supporting Actor. Bruce’s prediction came true and Michael did get that Oscar nomination.

I was in the military and waiting at the SeaTac airport for my flight and the book store there had this series so I bought them. I had them all read and done before I landed in Phoenix. It's a good series. They did a good job with this film, I saw in the theater. so good. Everyone brought their A game for this. I remember Sam really impressing me in the role of Wild Bill And Doug Hutchison as Percy. I believe Doug got nominated for a few best supporting actor awards for this.

I wanna say up front I am against the death penalty, full stop. The book, though, is a lot more open about the crimes these men have committed to get them on death row. They are awful. I think it tests your morals even more to know what they did and still not be pro-death penalty. There are a lot of reasons I am. I don't think the government should be allowed to decide they can just kill any person. But aside from that, I don't subscribe to an eye for an eye. I think death is an easy way to dispose of someone you don't want to deal with, as opposed to actually solving the issue of the crime they committed. Just m,y thoughts! So glad to see y'all react to it! Not only is it just a great movie, but I think it opens a lot of conversations about a part of American society that people tend to want to not think about.

Also, I was never able to have an unbiased opinion on the guy that plays Percy, I knew him as a...p3do creep before I knew him in this role, so I have always hated his character lol not that that's a bad thing
