(Commenting before watching so it might have been said in the aftermovie questions/facts) Here's a fun fact about Heath serenading Julia Stiles character on the football field the original song choice was between "I think I love you" or "I touch myself" and Heath thought those songs weren't romantic enough so he chose "Can't take my eyes off of you" himself to sing instead and honestly stellar choice and it always melts my heart but Heath always did that even still to this day! 🥰🥰❤️❤️

I am like 99% sure that I saw an interview with the director who said after filming there was a bit of a love triangle between Joseph Gordon Levitt and Julia Stiles and the girl who played the younger sister. Or maybe he just dated Julia, but I know he said something about them. Also, in the same interview he said Julia was not supposed to cry when reading the sonnet at the end but she naturally started to so he used that take.

It's been so fun seeing this reaction, this was my introduction to Heath Ledger and Joseph Gordon Levit and started by obsession with them being a teen watching it. Brings back old memories, very nostalgic rewatching it with you. Loved that you guys enjoyed it and were so surprised that you actually liked it. They don't make teen movies like they did in the 90s is my opinion!

I Loved this movie. I agree that it started super quirky and just got more and more normal which was bizarre, but it kinda worked. Also, are you aware that there's a whole section here as soon as the movie is over where you guys almost definitely meant to cut? You're discussing with each other how you're going to handle the questions. I have no idea why I laughed so hard at it, but I appreciate it all the same, lol
