I just love MatthewGoode . He looks flawless, gorgeous, all the syllables as Ozymandius. His close ups take my breath away lol. The visuals are stunning and the whole vibe of the movie is perfect

watchmen is great visually, but I believe the slowdown fighting scenes and superhero posing glorifies the violence & heroism when the comics very much tries not to show any of the characters as heroic. Also Rorschach is a terrible person in the comics but the movie portrays him in a much nicer light, even the moral compass at points. I am not surprised when people come out of the movie saying Rorschach is their favorite character. But yeah the visuals, casting, acting and production is amazing. I agree with Coy, this is Snyder's best film imo. The intro montage is absolutely amazing. I hope yall watch the HBO show!

if you are talking about their "Commentaries" no...This is exactly what I want them to do. Commentary from the perspective of Comic enthusiasts and film critics.

Honestly probably my favorite superhero movie. Great adaptation from the source material, I feel like the changes that were made were appropriate and transitioning from the graphic novel to a movie. The director's Cut Is perfect, the ultimate cut with the extra animated plot line is cool but drags on a little too much. Even if someone doesn't like this film, I think everyone can appreciate how utterly badass a lot of the scenes are. Dr Manhattan's origin is like the perfect film depiction of a superhero origin story. Rorschach's is pretty good too, and of course the prison scenes are all great. I love Rorschach's feud with Big Figure in jail, two old enemies a "super" hero and a "super" villain's final showdown, ending in such a mundane but brutal way. And probably my favorite directors/extended cut inclusion is cutting back to the interaction between the comic reading kid and the vendor. It always brings you back and grounds the story, because they're kind of the inserts for the spectator, and it makes it a lot more meaningful at the end when they embrace each other when NYC is destroyed. In the regular cut, if you're not already familiar, it's kind of confusing who they even are, and why they hug each other as they die. Also it's our only "civilian" viewpoint in the movie, so the theatrical cut really got rid of any civilian viewpoint. Also, can you believe Jeffrey Dean Morgan almost turned this movie down when he was told that his character dies in the first scene? When the Comedian's significance and how he is woven throughout the entire story was explained, JDM finally agreed. Like you guys said, can't imagine a different actor!

Ultimate cut has the Black Freighter scenes cut into it. Director's cut has everything except the animated parts. In my opinion, the Ultimate Cut is great to watch once, just to get those animated Black Freighter scenes, but it does cut up the flow of an already long movie. Director's cut for subsequent viewings!

Dan to me is the best character of watchmen next to Rorschach, than the comedian PURLEY for mr morgan. Honestly at points hes the best character in the movie for me, not saying hes a good guy but damn he acted his ASS OFF and ever since seeing it in theaters his performance has stuck with me the most. Adrian iv always been iffy on. Just a very complex character that is just arrogant. Even if his decisions are viewed villainous he just gives me the ick. Even in the show.

I will always appreciate when an artist can realize what he created is misinterpreted by the masses but I will say that artist also had something inside him he put on paper to show to the world and it was translated that way for a reason, he many not like it but its truthful

Patreon video says "Ultimate", but when opening it to YouTube it says "Directors" so I have no idea lol. Ultimate is on HBOMax so I'm hoping it's that one.
