Stranger Things I am assuming there is gonna be a lot of questions asked, I guess I’ll ask a simple question how did y’all about this episode as a final episode, and how does it compare to other final episodes in other shows. Me personally absolutely loved every single second, and the last 40 minutes was a cry session i didn’t know i needed.

What did you think about the choice of bringing back Kali just to kill her off. Seems like an easy way out not kill off the main cast but still get a dramatic death. Love your guys reactions especially Aaron's trivia at the end. Happy 2026!

We’re finally here! I’ve loved going through this series with you two and am so happy you guys love this show so much. My question is, if you could change how one character’s ending turned out who’s ending would you change, and how so?

Seth

Hey Tara and Andrew just wanted to ask if you think that the ending would’ve been better if one of the characters didn’t make it? Personally I think it would’ve been a bit better

Hey Tara and Andrew! No surprise, reactions to the finale are pretty split—some found it underwhelming, others liked how neatly things wrapped up. But is it just me, or did the final showdown with Vecna and El/Will feel like it didn’t quite deliver on the season’s buildup? Even the Mind Flayer battle felt rushed—no demobats, no demogorgons—and it all ended pretty fast. No major deaths or injuries either, just close calls earlier with Steve, Hopper thinking he killed El and Nancy with the Mind Flayer. How did you feel about the final showdown? Personally, I think having both battles happen simultaneously watered things down a bit and it didn't feel as epic as I'd hoped—but Joyce landing the final blows on Vecna was a great moment. Also, I wish we got more closure with Robin and Vicki (what happened to that Enzo’s date?), and at least a hint of what became of Murray. The military presence just dipping after El vanished felt odd too, especially since they explained why they were there at the start of the season. Overall, a good finale. A lot happened, but it sometimes felt like we were rushing from scene to scene. Some parts dragged, but I’m still grateful for the ride and the memories Stranger Things gave us.

What did you think about Henry/Vecna/001 ending? I feel like a lot of people expected him to turn good towards the end but I like that he didn’t. Jamie Campbell Bower just kept delivering amazing performances and did such an amazing job this episode displaying the nuances of Henry’s evil vs humanity. Looking forward to hearing your final thoughts.

Hi Tara & Andrew! WE DID IT! Your reactions to Stranger Things is what made me join Patreon. And to know we took this final journey together has been such a blast. What are you going to miss most about this series and which character made the biggest impact on you. Love ya both, and HAPPY NEW YEAR! <3

An underlying theme to the show's production was the idea of nostalgia. Music, technology, fashion, and other pop culture references from the 80s were front and center. What did you think about the immersion of taking the audience back to that decade? Why do you think it was successful or what did you feel was lacking?

Hi 😊 I watched this in the theater with my daughter. I thought it was fantastic! I laughed, cried and I was very satisfied. I've seen many reactions and people's complaints by now. I could easily pick out all the things wrong with this season and this last episode but it was such a great first watch that I'm not going to. Lol What was the most surprising part of this episode for you both? Love you both.

Hi Tara and Andrew! You probably heard a couple cities names dropped, most specifically Montauk and Philadelphia. Both were inspirations for the show for their alleged events, the Philadelphia Experiment in 1943 and the Montauk Project in 1980s. The Duffer Brothers actually had the Montauk Project in mind when pitching the show, but then decided to make an original story in the Midwest. With the potential Stranger Things Chapter 2 teased by the Duffers, what would you pitch for a spinoff?

Loxley

"The Duffer Brothers actually had the Montauk Project in mind when pitching the show," I don't know about that chief. I think their roommate had that idea first and they stole it from him due to the lack of writing cohesion the story has.

Curtis Okerman

That lawsuit was dropped, either way it doesn't mean my comment isn't fact. The line in the episode was literally a called back to the original title.

Hey Tara and Andrew! What ending do you choose for EL?

Hello Tara and Andrew! Here's my question to you. Did the final episode give you emotional closure with the characters or did it leave you grieving who they used to be more than celebrating who they became? Also, Which character’s journey across all five seasons feels the most complete to you and which one do you feel deserved more emotional payoff in the end? I have enjoyed re-watching this show along with you both. Thank you for the journey! ♥

Greetings Tara and Andrew from the UK. It's been a wild ride rewatching this show with you folks and now this brand spanking new season which I actually quite like. To me a final can never satisfy everyone and they did a good job. My question is especially targeted at Andrew as my gym playlist also contains songs from all sorts of shows and soundtracks. How did you both enjoy the new " disrupted " vibe to the soundtrack this season and how they mixed in the iconic emotional tunes throughout compared to other seasons? Personally I thought the music this season slapped and really helped build tension while making some badass moments even cooler like John Wick Hopper! Happy New year 🎉

Question what record is your choice for the bombing mine was "You dropped a bomb on me" 1982 The Gap band. The animated Strange Things comes in 2026. Netflix bought WB good because Pennywise was better than Vecna. Beep Beep see you in 2026.

This post is for asking questions for when they go to film this later today. The cut-off time represents approximately when they actually start filming this. Then, after filming, the video has to get edited by Praper before it can be released on YT and here, which can take a week or more. This one is for Tara and Andrew. If you want John and Greg's watchalong, then that has already been released below. Just scroll down until you see it. Hopefully this helps :)

Thank you, Christian, I did post a question in this thread, separate to this question. I apologize for interrupting the flow. I thought that Tara and Andrew would watch today and we could watch along. I suppose I am wrong?

Christian Seibold

They don't do livestreams, so they will film the watchalong today, but it won't be released today. Both the watchalongs and the highlights need to get edited, so they usually release the two around the same time, afaik. They edit the watchalongs as well as the highlights so that the watchalongs are easier to sync up for people with their own copy by adding in a timestamp to the video. I think they also want to keep the release schedule consistent too, and releasing the watchalongs together with the highlights is more understandable and allows them enough time to switch the schedule up when they need to.

When will we be getting Aaron and Andrew’s Heated Rivalry reaction ?? 👀
