Heated Rivalry: Now that you’ve seen Episode 5, how has that changed or informed your opinion on Episode 3 and how it fits into the rest of the story? The fandom tends to be mixed on Episode 3 but I love it and I feel it’s pivotal to Shane and Ilya’s story. Thanks for reacting to this series; I really enjoyed your reactions 😊

Heated Rivalry: Scott's coming out is beautiful and romantic, but sadly It's also idealistic and unrealistic. No real-life NHL player has ever come out, someone will have to be the first one to do it and the environment is not welcoming at the moment. Do you think this will change and could more media like Heated Rivalry help in some ways? (My name is pronounced Ma-till-the, if it can help. I know French names are not the easiest😉)

is this for post episode 5 or post episode 6? - PLD

Mathilde

Post episode 5, sorry I thought both episodes were done together.

Heated Rivalry Ep 6 - The popularity of this show signals that audiences are tired of romances that treats harm as intensity and control as chemistry/love. Do you think this show could culturally impact the way people/audiences renegotiate what healthy masculinity looks like on screen/in real life? Sorry for my broken English, and thanks for reacting to this show 🥰

BOURNE SUPREMACY (John, Aaron & Greg) - Question Tony Gilroy wrote script does this movie remind you some what of Andor theme.

Tracey Lough

Heated Rivalry Ep 6 - This show had a tiny budget and used lots of tricks to get around that. All the awards ceremonies and press briefings were in empty auditoriums. The same hockey rink was used for all games and the Olympics scenes, and sometimes you can see that the seats are empty. The same park was used for both Canada and Russia outdoor scenes. Looking back, were there any moments in the series where you could tell there were budget constraints? Do you expect a bigger budget for season 2 to improve the show, or is it not necessary?

Heated Rivalry 1x05: Why do you think Ilya immediately calls Shane after seeing Scott's big public display of affection with Kip? What is his thought process between seeing that and immediately deciding to come to the cottage? Also side question, should Rose and Svetlana combine their joint slay and get their own Heated Rivalry spinoff as a reward for being the best Girl Best Friends to emotionally stunted boys?

HR 1x05 (if there aren't enough questions): Do you think Shane understood more of Ilya's "secret" declaration of love than we think, either literally from the Russian, or even just emotionally from Ilya's voice/intonation?

Bri Garcia

Heated Rivalry 6: Rachel Reid (the author) has come out and said that Shane is canonically autistic. Does that change y'all's opinions or expand anything that you've seen of Shane throughout the season? Hudson Williams has said that he used his father's autistic traits in his portrayal of Shane. I think it really came out during this episode (and last one in the hospital) when he's just internally dying at the kitchen table while everyone's eating. Although the folding of clothes before banging every time is also a subtle hint as well

HEATED RIVALRY 1x5 (Andrew & Aaron): Hey Andrew and Aaron, I hope you are loving the show and that it brings a warmth feeling to your hearts. Episode 5 is my fav of the series, although the finale is top notch as well. How do you feel that final moment on the episode with Hunter and Kip correlates with real life and the impact for the queer community in spaces where it is, to this day, not quite welcomed. I feel LA is pretty open to the queer community, but have you observed spaces/instances where it is not? Thank you, sending much love your way!

This was way too late unfortunately. These posts are for the specific day they are shooting the reaction for! - PLD

lisabts

Hi! Are the times mentioned in the post above the times the episodes are being watched, or is it the time the reactions are being posted?

Christian Seibold

The times in these questions posts are for when the episodes are being watched and recorded. It usually takes up to a week or more to release them, afaik, although sometimes they get posted faster.
