I love this movie so much - it’s an all-time favourite. I own the OST on CD (cos I’m old) and I still listen to it a lot. Hoggle, Ludo and Sir Didymus are the absolute best, then the Worm and that one kinda dumb goblin right at the beginning who keeps interrupting the ‘wish’ part. ‘Did she say it?’ Jennifer Connelly was actually only 14 while filming this, and she has said that David Bowie was a gentleman on set who was very kind to her. Because HE thought it was inappropriate, he refused to kiss her like the script wanted so their ‘love’ is very G rated. It’s a pity you didn’t wait a few more days to air this - it’s the 10 year anniversary of his passing on the 10th. But I’m grateful to have been home from work in time to watch it.

Loved the review, guys! Thanks for giving me an excuse to watch this one, it's been a while. In my ideal world, the remake includes Harry Styles as Jareth. I think the acid rock style leans towards the whimsicality. I'm sure he would have no issue wearing the outfits and makeup

Yes! Harry Styles is exactly what I was thinking.

I mentioned on YouTube but thought I would here as well. Jamie Campbell Bower, he actually goes by Jamie Bower for his music, would be perfect. He has been doing music for a long time and I told my brother a few months ago that his song Paralyzed actually sounds like Bowie. Listen to it if you haven't heard his music. That one and and Coy I think you would appreciate Heavin in your eyes. About a married couple. It's beautiful.

Dance Magic Dance. I'm so excited to rewatch one of my faves with the both of you. Part of the reason why I love being a part of the Reject nation is because of all the old and current classics all of you react to. Blessed by awesome new content and reactions while I'm still trying to catch up on movies and shows you've reached to as well. The gift that keeps on giving. P.S. Thank you for that list of your top 25 movies, Coy. There were a few I didn't know about that I'll be checking out.

Absolutely one of my favorites! I love all the Jim Henson stuff. I also had a crush on Jennifer Connelly when I first saw this. She was 14 and turned 15 during filming but the character was 16.

David Bowies codpiece 100% should have gotten it's own credit with how much screen time it was allotted! 😝🤣 Joke aside in all honesty though this is TRULY one of my favourite Jim Henson movies of all time and was love at first sound for David Bowie this was my introduction to any of his music and what an introduction it was! Never has this soundtrack left my head or my heart and it never will! It stuck there forever! I want them to play "as the world falls down" at my funeral one day because I love it so much lol 😅❤️❤️❤️

Watching you watch this leads me to … PLEASE watch Legend. Please! I think it’s an underrated Ridley Scott masterpiece.

Stardust_and_Madness

Agreed - this, Stigmata and The Wedding Singer introduced me to his music. Id heard songs before that but had no idea they were him.

Stardust_and_Madness

That’s a good one, he’s got the look about him. I suggested Adam Lambert on YT but Harry is a great pick.

I use to watch this and the goonies every time I went to my grandmas for Christmas, I love it. Enjoyed this video a lot
