i adore every claudia (the film & both in this show) hopefully roxy will come around. as you guys seemingly picked up on s1 feels youthful while s2 feels grown. i can't wait for yall to keep going. this season was flawless (to me)

Yeah, after a while, when it's the only thing you say, it gets grating, but I love the new Claudia. Delainey is an amazing actress (Both Claudias are), and I wish people would support her the same way. Even in edits, they still only show the young Claudia, and it feels colorist af at times. I'm glad they are covering the show, though I like their reactions a lot

S2 is FLAWLESS. Every version of Claudia is great and Delainey is perfect. Greg hit it perfectly when he called it with the memory thing.

it definitely is colorist at times, it gets so tiring. as an editor you are so right and the comments are always so annoying when s2 claudia edits blow up. something ive also noticed is that ppl tend to refer to delaineys claudia as 'masc' when both claudias are so clearly fem... its so obvious that its just bc delainey is darker than bailey bc if anything s2 claudia presents even more fem

Just want to let you know that I joined patreon just to support iwtv 🥺🥺 and that I am Romanian 🤣 I think you asked why the kids called Claudia a "crow" in Romanian the word is a slur for Romani people, so they called her that as an insult because of the colour of her skin. It was fascinating to hear the actors try their hand at my language 🇷🇴 can't wait for the next episodes!! Thank you so much for doing these reactions even if the show is not so popular 😭😭😭 you will absolutely love this season!

I think its okay to tell us that they are surprised and trying to adjust to a new actor, its normal and it was more than normal to mention it in the first ep of the season lol. They are sane people and they will fall in love with the new actress as we all did

Welcome to Season 2! I'm excited to see what y'all think overall. You've already read up on Claudia's actress so I won't get into that. I will say that the actress for Claudia in S2 is playing a 40-ish year old woman. While her body is meant to be younger, parts of her performance are meant to convey that this is now an adult fast approaching middle age in human years. I definitely understand why people struggle to see an actress clearly in her mid twenties as physically a teenager. I just personally think some of the difference is just Delainey playing Claudia as the adult woman Claudia really is. Bailey got to play Claudia as both a 14 year old and as a young adult through to a woman in her 30s. Delainey has to play her as a 40 year old while being made to look or styled to look like a teen. It's a really fine line to walk and I don't envy her the task. I quite enjoy both Claudia actresses, however. I'm excited to see how you feel about her after you have an entire season to see Delainey's take. As for your last question...Armand is my favorite character in both the original books and the show. I also liked him in the IWTV movie even though that version of Armand was not really similar to the books in several personality ways. However, Antonio Banderas was camp and fun so I forgive the differences, personally. This Armand from the show, however, is very similar to the Armand from the books in key ways and is a much better spiritual fit. He has been updated slightly for adaptational reasons I can't get into yet without spoiling. But I will say that Assad Zaman really took this character and made it his own. It's hard to talk about Armand without spoiling the season so I won't go into why he's my favorite other than he's a very complex character that I feel quite a lot of kinship to. We'll leave it there. Excited to see how y'all feel as each episode unfolds!

I hope Roxy comes around to Delainey (season 2 Claudia), she is perfect, but I also understand and respect that character changes in the "middle" of the story can be jarring, and I commend the IWTV team for how they handled it. Bailey (Season 1 Claudia) had a previous scheduling conflict, as she was filming for Avatar: Way of Water at the time that she either couldnt or didnt want to get out of. Both were very good representations of Claudia and I think Delainey represents a more grown and mature version of the character even though they are both playing a 14year old child. Bailey was definitely the like childlike idea i have of Claudia.

Curious if anyone thinks Louis' speech at the end was more toward Lestat than Claudia? There was a reason he saw Lestat in that moment.

the fact that delainey only had a week to prepare for this role is so impressive, can’t wait for the rest of the season it’s so good 😩 i prefer it over s1 even though i love s1 so much
