you can start too see how rue really is an unreliable narrator here and that we cant really trust everything in the show is true in the world since its through rues eyes. just like how she told ali that jules never got a tattoo with her for real despite showing it like it was fact in the show. rue even says it herself in episode 1.

Not sure if you guys know but Sam Levinson was actually an addict himself. Therefore I don't think it should be that surprising that he wrote Rue's episode even if he isn't the best guy lol He has his personal experiences to draw from when writing for Rue

I would love to see a rection to We Are Who We Are (another HBO show)! Not sure how many views it would get but it's only 8 episodes and it was directed by the amazing Luca Guadagnino (Call Me By Your Name; Challengers). Such an underrated show imo.
