Harry Potter 2: This is the most underrated movie of the franchise for me, I absolutely love it. The Snake cgi still holds up today after almost 25 years, and I love the world building this movie does. I’m curious if y’all agree, and out the first two movies which one do yall lean me to.

Hi LJ and Roxy! What are your thoughts on Dobby as a pivotal character in this movie? I’d love your thoughts on the politics of House Elves and how it’s portrayed here. Hope you’re still having fun with these!

Hi LJ and Roxy! Do you guys have any sympathy towards, or understand Draco Malfoy better as a character after getting to know his father 8n this movie? P.s. The mist has become my favorite shejects reaction on the channel, and I hope you doing better!

Dobby is great despite being a bit of a menace here, but it was all to keep Harry safe, what’s the craziest length you have gone or think would go to keep a friend/loved one safe?

Harry Potter & the Chamber of Secrets: Hi Roxy & Jon! In this film, tone noticeably gets darker—students being petrified, the looming threat inside Hogwarts, and that constant sense that something dangerous is hiding within the school itself. Director Chris Columbus leaned into this to show the world maturing alongside the characters. What stood out to you most about that shift, and how did it change the way you experienced Hogwarts compared to the first film? Fun Fact: The giant spider Aragog was brought to life using a mix of CGI and a fully animatronic model, which was so realistic that even some of the actors found it genuinely unsettling to film scenes with it.

Hi Roxy and Jon! One of the big themes that really start to show in Chamber of Secrets is the prejudice against muggle borns. Why do you think that most witches and wizards find it horrible that some people, like the Malfoys, look down upon anybody who isn't a pureblood but they don't seem to have an issue with house elves, which are essentially slaves? Do you think there is a difference between the two prejudices?

HP 2: HP 1&2 director Chris Columbus (The Goonies & Home Alone) took a radically different approach to working w/ child actors on HP. His biggest budget request was not "stuff" but rather extra shooting time. After seeing the longterm negative outcomes for working kids (addiction/MH), he wanted the HP cast to instead feel an unhurried sense of joy/play. Columbus' legacy is most beautifully seen in the healthy lives/careers of these adult actors today. Q: How can creatives like Columbus think beyond "art" to have a true cultural impact? (Fun fact: Columbus' child protections/guidelines were maintained for all 8 HP films and influenced other kid heavy productions to adopt a similar relaxed shootimg schedule, going above and beyond legislated/union requirements.)

AWESOMEJoe Movie Reviews

This is one of my favorite HP movies. I especially enjoy the score by John Williams, during the quidage game while chasing the snitch the score was playing and that music very much reminded me of Star Wars also by John Williams. Do you have a favorite score by JW? Mine would be Indiana Jones.

POTTER & THE CHAMBER OF SECRETS (Roxy & Jon) - This is movie will need lot of work on television its weakest of the movies. Question in year we got Lord of the Rings of Smeagol, Dobbie, and Star Wars JarJar Binks which is most annoying there.
