Band of brother S1 Ep 5-6 Watchalong

Episode 5 does a good job of showing why US infantry units were far superior to the Axis powers infantry units during WWII. The United States was the only power at the time that had all of their infantry equipped with semi-automatic weapons compared to the opponent who still used bolt-action rifles. The rate of fire US infantry-based units could put out greatly outmatch similar infantry units of the Axis powers. In a tier rating of WWII weapons, the M1 Garand is high in the S tier.

Band of Brothers is one of my absolute favorite series ever. I really appreciate the respectful commentary that you guys do for it. :) Definitely tossing in a vote to watch The Pacific too!

As for Jimmy Fallons small role. He was on SNL and Hanks had hosted a few times while Fallon was a cast member and they had done some work together on SNL and Hanks and him got a long pretty well. So Hanks brought him in for this small role. Fallons only real role outside of SNL at this point was his small role in Almost Famous.
