What makes me so upset from here on out is that this is not my Daenerys. After episode 3, her character rapidly changes into an entirely different person where before, she would have grieved, but she would have also managed to be aware of her family's history of destroying things, and how much she didn't want to be like them. Every season she was reminded how brutal her family was and it scared her. She never wanted to end up like that, and now she's suddenly on track to. It's the character assasination of her and Jaime, who left even after Cersei sent someone to kill him and he finally walked away from her because she refused to do the right thing no matter what, even if was going to cost them all their lives. I just never comprehended how this made sense, and it still doesn't.

From my understanding, the reason this final season had so many issues is because George RR Martin hadn’t written the ending of the books yet. The writers on the show were having to write the final season’s script without the original source material from the author. To this day, I don’t think dear old George has finished the final book. It’s like he just gave up.
