I am enjoying this rewatch series right along with you. This movie (and the rest of Phase 1-3) set a standard that other folks are still trying to match. DC for example screwed the pooch by rushing through the Snyderverse in a vain attempt to replicate what the MCU did, and now it takes an MCU alum in James Gunn to right the ship :-).

I would love to see a directors cut of this movie, with all the cut scenes, like the Cap in New York stuff. Marvel made him cut a lot (which pissed him off) so I wish they added all of that back in for a special release version of Avengers. Maybe for the 20th anniversary or something. While they're at it, maybe they could also CGI over Caps suit. It's awful. The biggest movie in MCU history and Cap has to run around looking like an idiot. How they took that awesome WW2 version of the suit and turned it into a bright blue spandex suit is crazy. It's like they made a modern version of the propaganda tour suit from First Avenger. That's a mistake they never made again.

Infinity war is the most times iv ever seen a movie. 6. God damn. That movie. But this movie is like dark knight. Like neck and neck. That shot “thats my secret captain” it still gives me chills.
