I'm so grateful you guys are carrying on with Bridgerton. I think a lot of support falls off for it during season 3, but season 4 is my absolute favorite. Its such a different path from the first three seasons. It has a much more gentle path for the couple that matches Benedict's gentle nature. The couple has no anger at each other at any point. They have this beautiful magnetic pull between them that they can't avoid, and most of the conflict comes because they want to do what is best for each other and society isn't going to let them be together. Its really beautiful. I also think Benedict love declaration at the end of 04 is the best so far in Bridgerton.. right up to the point he sticks his foot in his mouth. Yerin plays that scene masterfully. You can see the bucket of ice water pored over her in every muscle in her body. Luke as well. He looks so confused. lol. Benedict really thought he was offering a practical solution that would let them be together. I held my breath through his whole speech.. and I gasped out loud when he said "be my mistress" I didn't see it coming.. at all. It broke my heart a little. I also am super in love with Lady Bridgerton's story in this episode. To see a mature woman.. and all the worries that come with being a woman who has lived a life.. and all the insecurities it can bring. And the way you can forget all that when the right partner looks at you with love and kindness and need. There are so many beautiful story lines this season.

Omg yay! And an early warning, there is an after credit scene for 4x08 so don't skip it! It is maybe a minute into the credits. Also yeah i think s3 was generally not well received from the public (some people loved it and i blame the writing more than the leads) so i think that affected s4 but most people agree that it was such a return to form for the show and i hope that means good things for s5.
