Good morning John and Andrew :) I love Moana. I actually believe it is the last great soundtrack we have gotten from that company as of today :) My question is simple: Maui was willing to let Moana die, right? "Today's your day to say you're welcome cuz I'm gonna need that boat ... I will also leave you here ... I myself spent years on this island before being discovered but you're a human so you will simply perish from starvation and dehydration ... and to make things worse I will lock you in that cave and remember I have no way of knowing if you're athletic enough to reach that opening at the top ... so you will die alone ... starving ... on a deserted island ... in a f**king cave ... you're welcome!" Maui was savage for doing that :) Am I the only one who sees that?

I’m so glad you’re coming back to Heartstopper before the movie comes out! Season 3 is all about these couples learning about themselves and their relationships, so what are your predictions for each couple?

Stephanie F.

Yay for Heartstopper!!! how do you feel about heartstopper tackling more adult themes, and the heavier feel to the content? It has gotten a lot of flack from “some fans“ over the years for first not being accurate about the gay experience when it was light and fluffy in season one, and then when it started, tackling heavier themes that it does in season three, they got harassment for being too heavy, and being “woke“ I guess? I think these themes are inherent in the high school experience whether you’re LGBTQ plus or straight… It’s all about growing up, but these are all issues in my mind that need to be discussed and represented.

Heart 3x01-02: Welcome back to HS Greg & John! - Nick's half-naked run after Charlie is the consummate "go to him!" moment. Q?: What did you think of Nick & Charlie's 1st "I love you"? Is there ever a right/wrong way to take that step? (Fun Fact: Kit Connor (Nick) had one take where he genuinely, accidentally slipped and fell in the shower, and that's the take used in show.)

Bonus Q? - Issac is choosing his own path when communicating about his sexuality, saying he doesn't want to have to give everyone a "vocab lesson". Q?: How do shows like HS help expand our collective vocabulary, thus preparing us to best support people in our daily lives?

Bonus, bonus Q? - Agent Peggy Carter to the rescue! Q?: What did you think of Nick aunt's talk about Charlie's ED? What do you think is the best way to help a friend/loved one when you're worried about their mental health?

Moana: Hi J & A! - Lin Manuel Miranda has said hearing Alan Menken's songs for The Little Mermaid inspired his 9-year-old self to become a composer, even later naming his son Sebastian after the film's crab. 20+ years later, Miranda now helms another female-driven, Disney aquatic film. Q?: Though primarily known for its animation, Disney is also the soundtrack of childhood. Is there a Disney song that you've loved, or holds a special place in your young memory? (Fun fact: Miranda locked himself in his childhood bedroom to write "How Far I'll Go" saying he wished to recreate the same yearning and longing only a child can feel to explore the outside world.)

Moana: I am obsessed with this movie and goofy it can be at times. Glad to watch it with yall:) Q: What are your thoughts on Disney turning movies like Moana into live-action movies? How do you think it will look/feel/do? Generally your thoughts on past & new live-action interpretations. Thanks!

Christian Seibold

To be fair, Disney didn't write the songs. Lin Manuel Miranda wrote them. He also wrote the music for Encanto.

Paweł Kaczmarek (Pavel Catch-mahr-eck)

Yes, I know :) That's how it always works. The studio hires someone to put in charge of the music. What I meant was that for the longest time Disney soundtracks were just bangers after bangers ... and now it seems that slowed down a bit :)
