Midsommar: This is one my favorite A24 movies, the story is beautiful yet tragic, and it just works all around for me personally. The movies directed by one of my favorite directors of the last 10 years Ari Aster, I’m curious if y’all have seen more of his movies which one would be y’all’s favorite, and what is y’all’s favorite A24 movie.

The Sheject Queens together again! My question is, people hate Christian (rightfully so), but for some, the hate is so strong that they fail to see that he was drugged (willingly) and then taken advantage of and, therefore, was R-worded. They feel his end was just, and I wonder, do you feel his failure of being a good partner was enough to justify his ending?

Second question (if there's time): Some people view this as a "good for her" film, or at least a happy ending for Dani. Personally, I think it's a sad ending. She lost her parents and sister (I have a theory about the cult being involved), her boyfriend was crap, and then the cult used where she was mentally to manipulate her into being on their side. Her first genuine smile is the last shot of the film, and it all came from manipulation. Do you feel this ending was a happy one or a sad one for Dani?

I love this movie, thank you for reacting! I feel like this plays as a really good example of why vulnerable people sometimes join cults. Dani is at her lowest emotionally and finds a strange resolve and community within this group of people who seem to understand her state of mind better than the people that she actually knows. Curious of your thoughts.

Hi Tara and Roxy! Love the Shejects! 🫶 This is definitely a horror movie that sticks with you once you watch it! So much more also stuck out to me after seeing it a few times (an insane thing to do I know😂) but there are A LOT of hidden details and easter eggs throughout the film. Do you guys think you could rewatch or is this a one and done?

Such a good movie. There’s something about horror that takes place during the day that’s so unsettling. Some people tend to miss the point of the movies terrifying conclusion. By the end Dani leaves one codependent relationship for another. Having now been fully indoctrinated into the cult. She has a new “family” It’s not a happy ending. Do you think Dani realizes this, or is she too far gone?

Hey Shejects! My memory of Midsommar is a bit blurry, but I definitely know it's one of those unique, psychological art-house horrors with that A24 style. Personally, I love these original concepts. Do you also prefer these unique, atmospheric films, or do you still get more excited for a classic, dark, action-packed jumpscare movie?? Btw thanks for the reaction!
