Tim Curry’s iconic turn as Pennywise remains an absolute masterclass in theatrical terror, blending vaudevillian humor with nightmare fuel that defined a generation. We are heading back into the sewers of Derry to celebrate the legend himself and see just how deeply this performance still unnerves us. Grab your red balloons and join us in honoring the definitive dancing clown.

Your questions about why everyone is so mean and the parents are absent is because its Darie... IT has a hold on the town and creates an aura of hate and amplifies cruelty. Most of the kids have abusive parents. Also even though this is about kids in the 50s, it is written with a gen x mentality. The kids are self sufficient and used to fending for themselves. Also, Bev doesnt react to her fathers death because he was sexually abusing her... she left him behind long ago The Kiss... in the books Bev and all the boys had sex together. So the kiss wasnt a big deal.

If you want to see another great Stephen King miniseries, I highly recommend the original miniseries of The Stand. The teleplay was written by Stephen King himself. Also, great cast: Gary Senise, Molly Ringwald, Ruby Dee, Ray Walston, and Rob Lowe (one of the best performances of his career and cast against type). Also the miniseries remake of The Stand is very good, as well. Great cast: Whoopi Goldberg, Alexander Skarsgard, James Marsden, Odessa Young, Jovan Odepo, Owen Teague, Nat Wolff, and Fiona Dourif.

I totally agree! The Stand is AMAZING!

I'd seriously recommend, probably not for the channel (because of what it is) --- MAYBE a PATREON exclusive? --- the 2022 documentary PENNYWISE: THE STORY OF IT. Spectacular independent doc on the making of the miniseries where so many cast and crew were interviewed -- Curry graciously participated; he doesn't show up terribly much -- understandable because of his condition -- but still offers great insight. Proud to own the Blu-ray.

It’s not letting me watch it. I really wanna watch it 😭😭
