Pack your bags for Camp Crystal Lake, light a campfire, and keep an eye on the woods because Jason Voorhees is officially stepping out of the shadows with a burlap sack over his head. This slasher landmark ramps up the creative kills, eerie backwoods dread, and introduces Ginny as one of the smartest, most resourceful final girls in horror history. Gather round and enjoy every vintage scare, shadowy stalk, and brutal machete strike right along with us.

In Crystal Lake Memories (this two-part, eight-ish hour documentary on the series), they talk about how all the actresses on the set of Part 2 were infatuated with the actor who played Mark despite him being pretty openly gay. Unfortunately, he passed away from complications relating to AIDS in 1995 😔

One of the best horror sequels of all time! And my personal favorite F13th movie! Let’s go!!!!

Jason was supposed to be mentaly handicapped and physically deformed. Your criticism of the final girl is based on the evolution of the final girl from the scream queen. Final girls and the rules to slasher films didnt exist, we were trope-less. These are the movies that define them. Youre coming in decades later with knowledge that doesnt yet exist in this world and final girl expectations yet to evolve. Love the reactions, great fun guys!
