Friday 7: If you didn't realize how unstoppable undead Jason is, you definitely do now. So, one of there original ideas was to have Jason vs Carrie. Just curious how different you think that would have been, and do you think that could have worked?

Jaden Rhodes

Halloween H20: I’m very curious how yall compare this to Halloween 2018, I really feel like they handled Laurie so much better here.

Friday the 13th Part 7: Carrie vs Jason, I’m curious if yall expected this franchise to take this turn, and did the swing work for yall, in my opinion it works very well.

Friday the 13th Part VII: Hi Jackie and Paige, this movie was originally pitched as Jason vs. Carrie (they just couldn't secure the rights to Carrie). Besides Freddy, what other characters would you like to see Jason cross over with? Halloween H20: Hi Jackie and Jon, I cannot stress how huge this movie was back in 1998, as Jamie Lee Curtis was at the height of her popularity. This is still my favorite performance of hers in the series. Between this and the new trilogy, which works as a better ending for MIchael, and better closure for Laurie?

Halloween H20 - Who is your favourite child of Laurie Strode? 1 - Jamie Lloyd from Cult of Thorn timeline (H4, H5 and H6) 2 - John Tate from Halloween H20 or 3 - Karen from the David Gordon Green trilogy (Halloween 2018 and Halloween Kills)

Friday the 13th Part 7 - Fun Fact - Did you know that in 2013, a scuba diver built a life size statue of Jason and is chained underwater at Crystal Lake in Crosby, Minnesota. It pays homage to Friday the 13th Part 6 and Part 7 where he is chained to the bottom of Crystal Lake underwater. The images I saw online are terrifying!

Halloween H20 Trivia: There are 4 different masks used in the filming. The H6 mask is used in the opening. A mask by KNB Productions was used for most photography. The mask used in most of the close-ups by Stan Winston Studios, and the awful CGI mask for Jumanji kid's death.

Halloween H20 I guess this question is more so for Jackie. Which franchise between Friday and Halloween, would you say has better endings to there movies? I always thought Halloween had some amazing endings with the original, H4, H20, and 2018.

Dan Gehen

Friday the 13th Part VII: Not actually trivia for this movie - if you want more of Tommy from Jason Lives, check out the fan films Never Hike Alone, Never Hike in the Snow, and Never Hike Alone 2.

Halloween H20: I think it’s safe to assume you guys really liked this film and I definitely used to. However, as time has gone on I actually look back on the Thorne trilogy more fondly because at least they had great Halloween/Spooky atmosphere, good cast and characters, and they were more ballsy with choices they made for better or for worse. Besides the great opening and ending as well as Jamie Lee Curtis giving her best Laurie performance, this film is very bland to me. It feels too much like Scream, I find this teen cast boring, Chris Durand is my least favorite Michael, most of the masks in this film suck, the scare factor is non existent, and this film doesn’t address the plot hole that is Michael’s 20 year absence (this Michael wasn’t comatose like H4). With all that being said if you guys could change one thing about this movie what would it be?

Halloween H20 question 1: This film ignores the Jamie Lloyd trilogy ( 4 to 6) & starts a new timeline that only involves Halloween 1 & 2. There was a script attempt to connect them all but the director chose to just start fresh & not involve the curse of Thorn or reference Jamie Lloyd. Part 6 (curse) was left open so that more sequels could've explored the whole townspeople involvement on the Thorn curse & Dr. Loomis as the new man in black. But this film retcons this storyline of Michael Myers & he goes back to just be simply evil. How would've yall explained Michael Myers supernatural elements, & do yall think this film did good on just going back to basics instead of trying to explain everything like Part 6 did?

Leon03

Halloween H2O question 2. This film infamously has the worst rendition of Myers as nobody really decided how the mask should look, & 4 maks were used throughout filming (including a CGI one). Also Chris Durand (Michael) chose not to watch any Halloween films & just did his own thing. But Michael Myers comes as very clumsy or walks weird at times, which makes him look more like an impostor or copycat. Also the mask sits too tight on his face & you can clearly see the actor's blue eyes, which in prior films his eyes were darkened to reference the "blackest eyes, the devil eyes" quote from the late Dr. Loomis. But the H6 mask was used during the opening kill of the nurse Marion Chambers (she was in H1, H2, & Kills). How do yall think this version of Michael Myers compares to previous portrayals, & do yall like the mask better on this film or Part 6?

Leon03

Halloween H20 question 3. This film has a very distinctive 90s "Scream" or "Dawson's Creek" vibe because Kevin Williamson who wrote the those franchises also worked on this. Plus stock music from Scream 1 & 2, Mimic & other films is used throughout because Marco Bertrami did the score for all these films including this one. But the film loses some of the spooky Halloween atmosphere that was present on the "Thorn" trilogy & music originality. Also this was pitched by Jamie Lee Curtis as a 20th anniversary celebration for H1 & wanted John Carpenter & Debra Hill to come back but both declined. Instead Friday the 13th Part 2 & 3 director Steve Miner directs this film. Additionally this was meant to end the series but of course it made a lot of money. How do yall think this film stacks to all the Halloween films yall seen, did it age well, or what changes would yall have made?

RC Flores

H20: PJ Soles, the actresses who played Laurie's friend Lynda was offered Norma's part. However the part ended up going to the most famous horror movie Actresses, Janet Leigh, Jaime Lee's mom. The car Norma drives is actually the same car she drives in Psycho. Do you think these stunt castings add charm to the movie or are they more of a distraction?

Leon03

Halloween H20 Trivia Facts. 1. This film is probably the one with the least studio interference from Dimension Films of the whole franchise (including the remakes). Only a handful of character development scenes were taken out including an important character scene where Will is carving a pumpkin with Laurie & he tells a story from his youth. One day his father caught Will's mom cheating on him. He beat the guy & her up and blamed Will, because Will (as the oldest son of two boys) should have told him about it as Will already knew about it for a long time. His father never forgave him. This scarred Will for life & made him suffer from trust issues, & family dysfunction. Laurie tells him that "Families are tough" but he says that" everybody has a dark past". That's right before the scene where Laurie tells him her story on the couch. 2: There's a comic tittled "The Death of Laurie Strode" that serves as a bridge between H2 & H20. In it right after Michael was blown up in the hospital, Laurie starts suffering from PTSD including reprimanding her adoptive parents about her past & starting a heavy drug & alcohol addiction. In November of 1978, Michael tries to attack her one more time (dressed as a clown like in the first film or H4) but she escapes. However Michael kills Jimmy (paramedic love interest from H2) in front of her which prompts Dr. Loomis in helping her fake her death in a car crash. It would be cool if y'all can find an online PDF or copy of it & read it yourselves. It's pretty short.

Friday the 13th part 7 question 1. This film was severly edited down by the MPAA as the original cut was the bloodiest Friday the 13th of them all (including the modern ones) with guts, visceral organs, & way longer or different kills. An infamous deleted scene, was the fact that Tina's father was originally going to reappear in the end as a decaying zombie like Jason, taking in consideration he was underwater for so many years. Jowever a prducer reshot it with the actor just having a bit of mud. It would be fun if yell can react to the uncut deaths after watching the first 8 films as the YouTube channel @MyFanMadeThings (MFMT) has the uncut kills & the vids aren't longer than 3 or 4 min per film. Do yall think the final film suffers from the censored gore & deleted special effects?

Leon03

Friday the 13th part 7 question 2. There is a filmed alternate ending where a fisherman is on a boat in Crystal Lake & gets pulled under the water by Jason (similar to the ending of Part 1 & 3). Part 4 (the final chapter) also had a filmed alternate "dream" ending that explains what happened to Mrs Jarvis (Tommy's mom). Trish (his sister) goes to the bathroom & finds her mom dead on the tub, implying she was drowned. Suddenly, the mom's eyes open completely white, and Trish turns to see a bloodied Jason (with half his face & head cut off) striking a machete down on her before she wakes up in the hospital. Both endings are available to see on YouTube. Do yall think both of these endings should've been kept & that all Friday the 13th films should've follow this tradition of a "jumpscare" ending like the earlier films?

Leon03

Friday the 13th Part 7 Fun Fact / question 3: C.J Graham who played Jason in Part 6 was a U.S Army veteran, which explains Jason's body fit & faster yet stiff (or calculated?) portrayal on that film. However he wasn't asked to return for Part 7. Instead infamous stunt actor Kane Hodder takes on the Jason role for the next 4 films giving him a more aggressive & somewhat slower Jason. Which Jason portrayal do yall prefer between part 6 & part 7? P.S. The opening recaps are because back then unless you had a VCR (which were barely getting into a household status), went to a rental store, or had the chance to see a movie on theaters, there was no way curious newcomers & new fans were gonna know what happened on the previous film. Plus home video releases took a year to come out after a movie finished its theater run.

Friday 13th Hiya, hope you're both having the greatest week! I usually struggle to watch more than three sequels or seasons of anything without losing interest, but my big exception is The Walking Dead and all its spin-offs! I love it so much I actually have the iconic 'DON'T OPEN, DEAD INSIDE' door tattooed on my leg. 🚪🧟‍♂️ What movie or TV show have you loved enough to get tattooed—or would get tattooed—on yourself?

Riley Petersen

Friday the 13th: Hey queens, which kill was more satisfying: dickhead Dr. Crews or mega-bitch Melissa?

Alan Smithee

My friend from film school is a producer on H20. I got to go to the premiere and I met Jamie Lee. Great experience. Do you think that this Halloween film is a return to form for the franchise after some not so great sequels?

Jayskull

Friday the 13th New Blood question: New Blood is right up there with part 3, as one of my favorites of the franchise. Loved the back and forth between Jason and Tina! It's almost like watching Godzilla go at it with Kong! For me, I thought it was one of the better stories/plots in the series. DId you think it was too "fantastical?" or did it strike a good balance between believable and fantasy?

Stephanie Bri

Friday the 13th New Blood Hi Jackie and Paige you finally made it to the off the rails portion of the franchise. My question is now that the franchise has firmly established that supernatural is on the table what other superpowers/supernatural stuff do you expect to see in the coming films lol specifically is there anything that would surprise you at this point to see Jason or someone else do not counting the obvious Freddy versus Jason.

Stephanie Bri

H20 Jackie and John this is one of those movies in the franchise that starts a new timeline. at this point has the popcorn timeline become jarring or do you think you have your bearings and of the three timelines that you have so far experienced which one is your favorite? obviously not counting season of The witch lol

Kev B

Hey Hey, Jackie & Paige! How wild is it that they decided to turn this into Carrie meets Friday the 13th? Did giving the final girl full-on telekinesis make the showdown with Jason way more fun, or did it feel like it completely crossed the line into too much for the franchise? Trivia: Paramount actually spent the late '80s trying to get a Freddy vs. Jason movie off the ground, but they hit a brick wall trying to make a deal with New Line. Since they were dead set on running with a "Jason versus [blank]" marketing angle, they literally just swapped Freddy out for a psychic teenager and turned the whole thing into Jason meets Carrie
