Jason Goes To Hell: This movie is usually considered the evil dead Jason movie, which I do agree with, because it feels far away from being a Friday the 13th movie. Which is also probably why this is my least favourite of the entire franchise, I’m curious if y’all agree, and does that ending get yall excited for Freddy vs Jason.

Avengers Age of Ultron: Ultron is considered one the most underrated villains of the MCU, I very much agree, because I don’t think he gets the love he deserves in this movie. And I’m very curious how he compares to other MCU villains for yall.

Jason Goes to Hell Question 1: This film surprisingly did received an Uncut version, however im not sure which cut y'all seen as the film (in its original version) is the bloodiest Jason film up to that point. A tell tale sign will be that the camping tent death shows the girl getting literally split in half, later the dude's arm getting broken outside the diner & showing actual bone splintering, & more bloodshed during the slow motion diner massacre, and showing the demon "Jason" baby thing go thru the mom's (IYKYK). Also the way that Jessica works in the lore is if Elias (Mr. Voorhees) left Pamela & had a a daughter (Jessie's mom, Diana) with another woman around 1961. This makes Diana Jason's half sister which in turn makes Jessica his niece similar to Jaimie in Halloween. What do yall of this film's different style to previous films as the first New Line Jason film & any predictions on Freddy vs. Jason?

Jason goes to Hell question 2: This is another case of the 90s studio interference, the true Director's Cut (not the Uncut version or the extended Television Cut which are their own thing) was over 130 min long & many subplots were deleted which really elaborated all the characters (including Duke tracking Jason down because he killed his girlfriend while on a boat years ago) & also the couple's backstory was elaborated on. Another huge change was that at the end, the demon Jason was actually a HUGE scary asf literal demon that Duke fights, & not the "demon baby" thing. Photos of this creature & the original fight scene can be seen online. Plus when Jason is being pulled to hell at the end, there were actual Earth demon creatures coning out of the ground & not just the huge hands seen in the final ending. All these deleted scenes can be seen on YouTube as this film was really trimmed down for it's Theatrical Cut. The only addition that was made during late reshoots was the whole subplot of the teenagers camping in Crystal Lake as many test audiences complained of the lack of "Friday the 13th" material (sex & kills). Does the final film reflects its severe tampering like Halloween 6 (Jackie)?

Jason Goes to Hell: Hey Jackie and Paige - This movie definitely qualifies as a "big swing." At this point in the franchise, is something this crazy worthwhile? For me, I can appreciate something like this (even if it isn't good) when I have the other movies to fall back on.

Jason Goes To Hell Question 3: For some reason the early-mid 90s was really fixated on experimenting with horror franchises & giving horror icons like Michael, Jason, Leatherface & Freddy some crazy explanations or backstories (like H6 & Jason Goes to Hell). On this film for example, the director's intent was that when Jason drowned as a boy (The TV Series it's its own thing & retcons some stuff from the original too) Pamela Voorhees used a copy of the Necronomicon book (Evil Dead) to bring Jason back to life. Essentially making Jason an actual Deadite & explaining why he keeps coming back as a demon & has the ability to possess people. Plus the Kandarian dagger is used to kill Jason. Freddy Krueger was a HUGE 80s & 90s icon (there was even a tons of kid's merch and had its own tv show) but was "dead" at this time. So when Freddys hand popped out many audiences cheered & clapped as Freddy vs Jason was rumored since 1988. Ironically they had to wait 10 years for that film to come out in 2003. Also there was a Freddy vs Jason vs Ash sequel that was planned but never happened due rights issues with New Line Cinema (who owned Jason & Freddy at the time). How do y'all feel about this storyline & story additions to the Jason lore? Would've the deleted Elias subplot from Part 6 been better?

Jason Goes To Hell Question 4: There's no explanation as to how Jason came back from NY after the toxic waste. But a fan theory is that the sewers basically brought him to the ocean & he swam back "home". The only reference to his defeat in part 8 is Jason's new design which gives him an burnt looking mask that sits too tight to his overly mutated head to the point that the mask became part of his face. Also legally Paramount owns the Friday The 13th name so that's why subsequent films just say Jason something. How would've yall continue the franchise after part 8?

Jason goes to hell Trivia 1: The timeline of this franchise puts this film in the year 2003 (or 1999) according to fans. Jason drowned in 1957. The first film takes place in 1979 (as evidenced in Mrs Voorhees tombstone in Pt 4). Parts 2 to 4 take place crazily in the span of over a week in July 1984 (pt 2 states its been 5 years since pt1 & pt 4 has a guy avenging his sister who died in the double "penetration" kill from pt2). Part 5 takes place in 1989 when Tommy is 17. Part 6 takes place in July 1990. Part 7 mostly takes place in 1997 as a 17 year old Tina killed her father when Jason was recently chained under the lake as a little girl (she was 10 years old more or less in 1990). Part 8 takes place in 1998. The explanation as to how 18 year old Ronnie (the final girl from pt 8) saw young Jason underwater as a 13 year old little girl (in 1993) is theorized as either her imagination or that she actually saw an adult chained Jason Voorhees but her mind manifested it as a young boy similar to how she does throughout that film. Finally for Freddy vs Jason to work, this film either takes place in 1999 or 2003 when that film is set. This is funny as this implies that in this universe the 80s trends basically lasted all the way up to the late 90s.

Jason goes To Hell Trivia 2 bonus (if time) : Allegedly, the film was suggested by the original director of the first film (& producer of this film) as a way to "Get that damn hockey mask out of Jason" according to this film's director Adam Marcus. Cunningham has denied this, stating that the mask was always going to be in there, but Marcus maintains that Cunningham had really requested this, because the mask had been added to the series' lore without Cunningham's approval. Even if Marcus had wanted to, he would have never been allowed to remove the trademark mask, and his only regret is not featuring it more in the movie. 2: Kane Hodder (Jason) plays the security guard that gets killed in the beginning when the possesed mortician is about to leave the building. He ironically makes fun of Jason. 3: The original musician of Friday 1- 7 (Harry Manfredini) comes back for this film after his absence in part 8. However his score on this film is noticeably a bit repetitive & unoriginal at times.

AWESOMEJoe Movie Reviews

"Avengers Age of Ultron": Hello Jackie & Paige, I love the villain Ultron, but I would have enjoyed his character much more if there was growth and depth of him in previous movies rather than just one, like Loki and future Marvel Villains. It's called "Age of Ultron" not "A Week of Ultron", do you gals agree or were you satisfied with how the whole movie turned out? Thanks, keep on living the dream and as always STAY AWESOME 😎👍👍

Avengers Age of Ultron: Hey Jackie and Paige - Hope you two are have a great day. I feel like this is the forgotten Avengers movie, with the first and next two considered iconic. But every time I watch this, I'm surprised about how many great things there are. When they're all trying to lift the hammer, do you think Cap could only nudge it, or he realized he could lift it and stopped to spare Thor's feelings? (I think the latter)

Noah

Jason Goes To Hell: While what I’m about to say is probably the least confusing thing about this movie, the reason part 8’s ending wasn’t followed up on was because producer Sean Cunningham (who directed the first film) told director Adam Marcus to ignore it and pick up after part 7. Which is likely why the characters visual appearance is closer to the new blood. With that being said what do you guys think of Jason’s design in this film? (Even though he’s not in it much)

Avengers: Age of Ultron-When initially released a lot of the criticism centered around the film’s humor. Dramatic moments were often undercut by Joss Whedon’s trademark quippy-ness and sarcasm. What’s your take on the humor in the movie? Too much or just right?

AVENGERS: AGE OF ULTRON (Jackie & Paige) Hi Jackie and Paige! I’ve been loving your reactions! So happy that you made it to Age of Ultron and was finally introduced to Wanda, Pietro, and Vision! Which character, or characters stood out the most? My favorite was Wanda because of Elizabeth’s performance, especially after what happens with her twin Pietro. I’m still sad about how quickly we lost him.

Kaptain Fernandez

Jason Goes to Hell: For all of its faults I appreciate that this movie asked audiences “Would you still love me if I was a worm?” My question (for Paige really unless Jackie has also watched the Evil Dead series) did you like the Evil Dead references like the dagger and Necronomicon?

Cody Price

Hi Jackie and Paige. Who really is underrated in this film is Jeremy Renner as Hawkeye, and makes most of the time he is on screen. He starts out as the Legolas cool archer cool action guy type, but as MCU goes along really becomes one of the emotionally centered characters in the MCU (Thor, Avengers, Avengers Age of Ultron, Captain America Civil War, Avengers Endgame, and Hawkeye Season 1). Just curious, what do you think of the growth of Hawkeye so far?

Snaccs

Avengers age of ultron: Why do yall think of the Natashas and Bruce's growing romance, do yall find it out of place or something really cute and romantic? I've always been a fan of this sort of "forbidden love" 🤭

Jay Rushton

AVENGERS: AGE OF ULTRON (Jackie & Paige) - Question what do you think about Ruffalo acting of Banner in relationship with Natasha. Then are you Team Cap or Tony on Ultron was mistake or not mistake.

jamie gore

Jason goes to Hell Jackie I just have to say, Undead/Zombie Jason would annihilate Pennywise. My question is were you able to appreciate the MCU type of reveal for Freddy at the end, despite not having seen the nightmare movies yet? Also, damn it would have been kickass to be watching this in theaters, and Freddy's glove pop up.

Stephanie Bri

Age iof Ultron: Hi Jackie Hi Paige. You probably answered the does this hit close to home with current AI fears but do you think Tony was justified in seeking a "suit of armor around the world" consideirng what hes been through thus far?

Stephanie Bri

Jason Goes to Hell: Hi Jackie and Paige hope you are still enjoying your Crystal Lake journey here. My question is did you think the lore added in this film makes you wanna go back and apply it to the previous ones to see what fits or is this too radical a departure for you? this was the first Jason anything I saw so yeah... oof.

Stephanie Bri

Jason Goes to Hell TRIVA if theres time: this was the first film not produced by Paramount. New Line bought the Jason rights, But not the Friday the 13th name, to prepare for the eventual production of Freddy vs. Jason. Fun Fact Peter Jackson, yes THAT one, wrote an unused Nightmare on Em Street script and was approaced, but declined, to direct Freddy vs Jason cuz he was well knee deep in hobbits at the time lol.

Hi ladies! To me this is the best Avengers movie in terms of their being a cohesive team. The opening action sequence showed how well they worked together and the party- it was great to see them relaxed and enjoying each other's company. In your opinions, did Ultron and Wanda break them completely or can the team recover from disagreeing so hard and being traumatized?

Mikoy Ona

Age of Ultron Hi Jackie 🧡 and Paige 🫡! Ultron begins as a solution to a real problem, but his creators underestimate the consequences of giving him autonomy. In today's world, where AI is being used to make increasingly important decisions, what safeguards do you think we need to ensure that technology remains accountable to the people it affects?

Orion's Heavenly Light 🏹🌟

Avengers: Age of Ultron... not a question. Just wanna say, YESSS!!! You're FINALLY getting to meet Wanda!!! SHE'S MY FAVORITE AVENGER!!!!

Sam

Avengers: Age of Ultron (Jackie & Paige) Hi Jackie and Paige, hope you’re doing well. I personally think this movie is very underrated and probably better than the first Avengers film. What did you think about Tony’s idea creating Ultron?especially after seeing that dark vision given to him by Wanda where he saw all the Avengers were dead right in front of him (on top of all the trauma he still has from before) which is what pushed him to create Ultron to defend Earth from any big threat. I believe Tony’s intentions were obviously good but it unfortunately didn’t go as planned. What do you think of all this?

Leon - Love the passion but if you read the post - we allow one concise question per film. SO choose the one you most want answered to go in there please! - PLD

Nate

Hello Jackie & Paige! Hope you are still enjoying your trip down the MCU highway. This marks another movie with a huge battle sequence. It got me curious: What are your opinions on the big battles vs smaller fights. Do you prefer to see small, 1v1 fights or the big multi-person battles in the Avengers movies?

Leon03

Question 2 & 3 if time allows. Plus Trivia 1.

JstaGrl329

Avengers: Age of Ultron Hi Jackie, hi Paige nice to see you again. I hope you’re both doing well. Q: Whose side are you on? Tony’s for trying to build a Global defence shield, or Ultron’s logic, that humanity is its own worst threat? 😉 In my opinion, I know Tony was just trying to help, but I think it just got away from him. Since he went through that giant wormhole in space that could’ve pushed him or anyone over the edge and made them a little paranoid. “Peace in our time” 😁 Much love to you both can’t wait for the next one! Xox - Lisa 😁❤️

Aveengers: Age of Ultron Hey, guys. I like this one a lot. I like that it explores the fear and flaws of these characters. Some gripes, I don't like the Nat and Bruce relationship and the original script had Bruce reject Nat and they had too reshoot these scenes because Joss Whedon wanted this relationship in the movie. The Thor cave scene was also originally longer and gave him visions of what the infinity stones are. He also had a vision telling him that Loki was on Asgard, Tom Hiddleston shot a scene but this was ultimately cut because test audiences found the scene confusing. Would these original scenes have made the movie better or do you prefer what we got?
