Godzilla Minus One: This is easily the best Godzilla movie of all time, it’s just amazing ever since of the word, and I’m very excited for Minus Zero to come out. But I am curious if y’all have a favourite Godzilla movie, I’m not the biggest fan of the Godzilla monsterverse movies, they just feel like they put action first and forget to tell a story with it.

V for Vendetta: This is based on a stand alone graphic novel under DC Comics, I’m curious if there is another movie like that for yall is your favorite. Me personally the Watchmen movie is fantastic, but the Watchmen tv show is a masterpiece.

Godzilla Minus One: Hey Rejects! As a lifelong Godzilla fan (used to rent tapes from the local video store as a kid), this is easily my favorite of the whole franchise. Did you find the reveal of Noriko's survival an unnecessary twist, or was it an earned reward for the hell everyone has gone through? Godzilla trivia: This movie was made for only $10 million and is the first Oscar winning Godzilla movie (visual effects). Also, the director's (Takashi Yamazaki) first experience with Godzilla was including the monster in a dream sequence in 2007's "Always Sunset on Third Street 2".

Jakie & Andrew - V for Vendetta Hey Jackie and Andrew hope your both feeling fabulous this week! How well do you think the movie balances the line between V being a heroic freedom fighter versus a dangerous extremist? Did your personal feelings about his brutal methods change from the beginning of the movie to the end credits? Thank you!

Jaydelle

Godzilla Minus One: Hi Tara, Roxy & Aaron! Shikishima carries tremendous guilt for surviving the war, and his journey becomes as much about finding a reason to live as it is about defeating Godzilla. Given Japan's devastation after World War II, what did you think about the film making survival, rather than sacrifice, such an important part of its message? Fun Fact: Godzilla Minus One won the Oscar for Best Visual Effects in 2024, becoming the first Godzilla film to win an Academy Award. Even more impressive, it achieved this with a reported production budget of under $15 million, beating Hollywood blockbusters with significantly larger budgets.

Noel Beltran

V for Vendetta: One of my favorites, especially considering how it inspires the people to be empowered. By the end V was more idea than man and so how well do you think the movie did to connect the audience to the man who gave himself fully to this idea?

Dan Gehen

V for Vendetta: Hi Jackie and Andrew, the original comic series was a response to the rise of Margaret Thatcher in the 1980s, and the film reinterpreted it as a critique of the the American political right and remains relevant today. Did you think the fight scene at the end was necessary, or did it distract you from the movie's messaging?

Anthony Hudak

Godzilla Minus One: Hey guys as a lifelong Godzilla fan, this movie not only met my expectations, but exceeded them tenfold and I cannot wait for Minus Zero! Not only did it succeed as a Godzilla film, but it really was just one of the best movies I've seen in recent years. That atomic breath scene, black rain, Shikishima screaming, and Godzilla looking at the mushroom cloud still sticks with me. Some fun facts is that Jaws was a big influence on this movie which is funny because Spielberg cited the original Godzilla as an influence for Jaws. Not only is the scene chasing the boat ripped right out of Jaws, but even how Godzilla's head blows up and he sinks into the sea with a bellow-like noise is similar to the death of the shark in Jaws (a roar sound can be heard when the shark blows up). Some other details about this Goji is that most iterations have regenerative powers, but this is definitely the fastest it's been depicted. In fact, when Godzilla gets mutated by the H-bomb, and he gets larger his skin are no longer scales, but rather burn scars from radiation. This harkens back to the original 1954 Godzilla where his skin is meant to evoke people with keloid scars following the atomic bomb droppings. A great thing about Godzilla is that he's been portrayed in so many ways. He's been a villain, a hero, a neutral force of nature and even iterations that are more lovecraftian and one is a wraith/spirit of vengeance. Do you prefer Godzilla more in the villainous role, more heroic, or more of a neutral force? Last little question, what do you think is on Noriko's neck?

Watching V for Vendetta in theaters this Sunday!

Godzilla Minus One: Hiiiiii guys, personally view this as the number one Godzilla movie. It has by far the best human characters and most importantly a good plot. However if we’re speaking only about Godzilla himself I prefer the Monster-Verse version. What version of Godzilla do you three personally prefer?

V for Vendetta: Hi Jackie and Andrew. First all, Jackie, if you liked this film, I would definitely recommend watching the Daredevil series,The Punisher series, and also the film, The Count of Monte Cristo starring Jim Caviezel, Guy Pearce, and Richard Harris. :) Second of all, amazing character actor, Hugo Weaving, finally got his chance to lead a film in V for Vendetta. What did you think of his performance and would you ever want to take on a challenge of playing a character that is always behind a mask in a film?

V FOR VENDETTA (Jakie & Andrew) - Question do you know this was based on Guy Fawkes day on November 5 and will Rejects ever go to England there.

GODZILLA MINUS ONE (Tara, Roxy & Aaron) - Question will the Rejects ever go to Japan there.

Godzilla Minus One! Love it! Thanks for the reaction Taroxaron! Did you ever expect that a Godzilla movie would make you cry? Well, now you know why. Did you see all the ways this movie referenced Jaws as it's main inspiration? Like the neighbor lady who helps with the kid is meant to be like Mrs. Kintner who slaps Chief Brody in the face after her son dies. Or all the boat scenes on the ocean where Godzilla is chasing them just like in Jaws. They also kill Godzilla (temporarily, of course) in a similar way to Jaws, put something explosive in the monster's mouth and blow it up. Thanks again Rejects.

Greetings Jackie & Andrew! Where do you draw the line between terrorism and freedom fighting? Since V relies on violence and psychological torture, do you think his methods ruin his moral high ground, or is that the only way to deal with a fascist regime? Trivia: Believe it or not, Hugo Weaving isn't the only guy under the mask. James Purefoy actually played V for the first six weeks of shooting before he left the movie. Rather than re-filming all of that, the director just kept Purefoy's physical scenes in the final cut and had Hugo dub over his lines later

I have a general schedule question: after you guys react during the stated times on this post, what’s the turnaround time we can actually watch these movies with you? I’m pumped to watch these movies and I can’t wait!

thereelrejects

There is no actual general timeframe honestly. We record and then we get them scheduled. *GENERALLY* it's usually a week or two but it could be months and there are some cases we recorded things last year that haven't hit yet. So there's no real timeframe. - PLD

😞 I hope it doesn’t take too long. Then again, I remember seeing a post asking for questions for The Grudge months ago, and that reaction still hasn’t been released.
