I'm really happy you guys are enjoying Clara so much. She's my favorite companion and sadly she gets a lot of hate from a part of the fandom. The argument between Doctor and Danny is very uncomfortable to watch but in part because Danny is mostly right. The Doctor is an officer, the main part of his disdain against soldiers comes from his own experience from the war.

What a validating and great reaction! I was a Clara fan from her first episodes, and she became my absolute favorite companion overall. Was Peter Capaldi trending for his birthday (4/14) perhaps?

Yeah it was his 64th birthday I believe earlier this week, it’s also been David Bradley’s birthday this week too and it’s David Tennants/ Camille Coduri (Jackie Tyler) Birthday today and was Peter Davison’s birthday last week and Neve Macintosh’s (Madame Vastra) birthday on the 9th of April so there’s a lot of Doctor who Birthdays around about now 😂

I am so glad you guys enjoy Clara. Jenna Coleman has such terrific chemistry with every co-star. I think she is a marvelous “companion” because she challenges The Doctor rather than tagging along or simply acting like a love interest or a best friend. Madame Vastra even calls Clara “the person who knows him best.”

Clara is my favorite companion too for all the reasons you mentioned. She is SO complex as you’ll see, and she really feels so well written. I definitely think she deserves more recognition
