Boost Woman (Patreon)

Remember the January Mika poll had her look like a Mega Man character? Well, I wanted to build off of that. I ended up working on Robot Master Designs for 8 more of my gals!

Now we're bringing in Carmel as Boost Woman. A cheerleading robot, she is flexible and positive. She exudes electrical charges to help keep crowds high energy. Here pompoms, dubbed the Boost Charms, are oddly dangerous looking though. She used to be involved with Strike Man, but has since left him to cheer for Grid Man.

And some behind the scenes info, I have several characters that are canonically dancers and cheerleaders, but Carmel is normally neither. I only cast her as such because when thinking of themes, I would think of traits or themes that the characters have been shown with. Carmel's was "positivity and energetic" leading us here. The "positive" trait led to a pun tied to why she's an electric robot master. The name Boost Woman comes from a Sonic comic panel where Sonic asks Amy for a boost, leading her to give him a quick list of positive things about him to boost his mood. I used some design elements from Mega Man 10 mostly, sampling parts of Strike Man, but also some Mega Man and Bass elements.

And finally, her weapon is the Boost Charm, an electrified flail like weapon using her pompoms. She's weak to the Wardrobe Mixer.
