The Moment of Anticipation (Patreon)

While out for a run late one evening in the darkening hours, a young man jogs along a seemingly empty path right in the middle of a local park...and gets the fright of his life when out of the shadows ahead steps forth an imposing wolfman.

Before long the boy is in the grass, his running shorts and shirt discard to one side. From the wolfman's sheath emerges an impressive figure of maleness, it's pulsing, rock hard appearance promising so much...heightening the very moment of anticipation between them...

A piece funded by the lovely kickstarter backers for Beneath a Lustrous Moon Issue 2: Primal Passions, done for me by the wonderful John.xrt.art. I must say it is perhaps my favourite illustration from that set done for the comic, just because it is so perfect in every sense of the word. The very atmosphere feels taunt and heavy with the promise of the moment itself.
