Magnus Reviews...Champ's Party by Oliver Frey/Zack (Patreon)

Never meet your heroes hey? It's a popular old saying and can have a ring of truth to it. That is not though what these eager twinks find out when they meet their favourite boxer Big Joe and discover just how the champ likes to celebrate his victories...

Out of Oliver Frey aka Zack's wide collection of works, Champ's Party is one of my favourites for it's unabashed indulgence of intense, almost animalistic sex and sheer volume of sexual delights contained within. There is no deep narrative or overarching story here; it exists purely to satisfy the lusts and desires of it's readers.

Champ's Party is all about domination and boys discovering the pleasures of what a nice strong black cock can bring them. Like an orgy, it is wild, energetic, boys switching partners and indulging in every fancy and desire, until they are all left in one, heavily, sweaty mass at the end.

The use of three different innocent boys being seduced one after the other allows for the comic to have a natural build-up that continues right up to the climatic end. There is so much action going on here it came be a tad overwhelming at times but then that is why it is the kind of work that invites you to come back and reread it, lapping up new panels or rediscovering a favourite piece scene of raw sensual fucking.

It is certainly a vintage comic, a product of it's time, and it's artwork will either appeal or not appeal depending on how you feel about the art styles from this era. That being said there is enough intense action going on here that hopefully it stands a good chance of drawing you in regardless.

Personally I view it as a sublime work of sheer lust, a window into Zack aka Oliver Frey's tastes and it does show. Frey has always had a trend of showing young men being seduced and ravaged by more experienced men and this is very much in theme with that trend. At the same time I do appreciate the scenes where the boys switch from being fucked to screwing another's ass, showing they can give it as much as take it. There is not enough examples of versatile flip-flopping or interracial pairings within orgy themed comics, something I hope to do efforts to rectify with my own works.

On a more humorous note I always did wonder how the bell hops were going to explain their long absence and disarrayed state to their manager afterwards...but then such questions are just a distraction. Champ's Party is a self-contained work that needs no greater explanation or backstory for you to enjoy; just an appreciation for men unleashing their inner desires upon one and other.

Perhaps one day I'll do my own tribute to this captivating comic and the other quality works of Mr. Frey. They have certainly had a lasting impact on my own style or erotica...so a tribute would only be right, won't it?
