An Eightfold Paper Update for 2026 (Patreon)

Hello, paperfolders!

We hope you all had a solid start to the year. We wanted to kick things off with a proper update, since it’s been a little while since we last did one.

First, a quick but important one:

The Fold update
The full 2022 battlemaps catalog is now live on The Fold. That’s a big chunk of content unlocked and ready to go. Next up is 2021, and we’ll keep rolling backwards from there over the coming months. This is ongoing work, not a one-off drop. The goal is simple: ensure more of our older work is easy to access, browse, and use.

No hunting, no guesswork. Although we all like a little hunt here or there, let's keep those to our adventures.

Looking ahead

As Paperio would say, "If ya like gumdrop, what'd ya know? Eat more gumdrop."
~ Paperio

For 2026, we want to be more intentional about building on what we’ve already created. We aim to expand your beloved map series by creating new maps for 'em.

Every three months, we’ll run a recurring community poll where you can vote on older battlemap series you’d like to see expanded. To do that, we need to know which map series you think deserve more content. The poll to do that, where you can submit your vote, will be released soon.

Get ready for the "Fold Games," where the poll winner will make a return with more awesome battlemaps!

Please note that this does not mean we otherwise won't revisit cool, existing locations we're inspired by; it simply ensures the map series that make you tick are fleshed out and guaranteed a return.

What else?

Alongside that, we’ll keep pushing forward with new content as usual, while steadily expanding The Fold in the background.

To make the best of Eightfold Paper, we’re genuinely curious:

• What would you like to see more of this year?

• Is there anything you feel we could improve?

• Is there anything you’d like us to try differently?

Thanks for sticking with us and for supporting Eightfold Paper. We’re excited about where this year is going, and we’re glad you’re here for it.

May your folds succeed,

Eightfold Paper
