If we do, then why don't cha' write down what kind of roles and ship types are we particularly missing in the line up. If you provide a convincing point, I may consider it while we still havent release the update yet.

Worried about work overload? Trust me, I can print capital ships just as quickly, have no doubt!

Honestly, just one more very small escort (kind of wolf sized probably) that is somewhere between a large fighter and a full on frigate. I love pairing large ships with wolf pack small ships and a UAF one would be great and fill a gap.

Alex McGregor

More ships are always welcome, and small ships can be just as useful as Cap Ships

hidefreek

I believe in UAF frigate+Destroyer supremacy! - Give new ships to fit the weakness of the fleet. - Give unique hull mods that will change the ship stats and system :3

Evening Star

So I was thinking today that i didn't think i saw any destroyer sized carriers in the UAF (doing a carrier-only run) and thought it'd be nice if there was some escort destroyer carriers. So far the only ships i've seen with escort in their name have been the different Minoria's, could be more, just recently started using this mod.

Where's our mech units for our anime waifus at

TheeeNice

👀 ever consider a minelayer?

ArcPhaseus

One of my favorite modded ships to fly is the Falken from Neutrino Corp. Having an Xtra-Small and maneuverable (but fragile) ship capable of fitting a semibreve and an anti-frigate hybrid slot would be ideal for my preferred captaining style.

Rvell

Neuko Mechs :D

IzuZoomie

I'm gonna be the devils advocate and agree with the one comment asking for mechs, I know it's been mentioned that they dont fit the UAF, but my god would I kill to get some UAF themed cataphracts :c

Dood

Wolf pack UAF sounds like a lot of fun. Increasing the variety of escort ships is always a good choice.

N2Marine

I’m also in agreement with the UAF themed cataphract’s will definitely help mix things up a little that said I do think we need another frigate or Corvette class maybe one that’s torpedo focused or something along those lines. That said I for a unique idea would be taking a page out of space battleship Yamato and making like a stealth torpedo boat/dimensional submarine for spec ops.

Greg

Mechs, AA destroyers, maybe fleet support such as small carrier with ammo drones

Hj

Mech or cataphract salvaged from battlefield and brought back to uaf for study the possibilities of uaf to equip such equipment into the arm forces, like patrol fleet for extra firepower, expedition fleet for recon and early warning, main fleet for harass and go deep to strike enemy cv or important asset,or just as a prototype to test it.

Aurora

I'm going to say some frigates with new advanced weapons would be super cool.

Psunico

I think having at least two more destroyer hulls would help fill in more for escort ships. Although there is plenty of frigates to help, they aren't as reliable for frontline support and escort duties with capitals due to how the game's combat AI works when calculating the type of ships during battle. With more reliable, sturdy destroyers, it could help even the odds for the UAF

Diov

Just one more destroyer would be nice. Maybe some kind of multirole escort, or maybe an E-Warfare type escort.

R4ampage

Some Broadside Ships would be cool, but also like some other people have mentioned UAF Mechs/Cataphract would be so goddamn cool haha.

Pathfinder118

I would love to see (like some mods) a few 'special prototype' light ships, like a ultra manuverable frigate, or a prototype auroran phase destroyer, perhaps even a frigate built around supporting carriers and their fighters? Maybe a ship that splits up into smaller ones? like the promethius class, also a ultra light drone carrier (UAF wasp drones anyone), you should also make a frigate with one heavy hardpoint so I can put a semibreve on it for giggles, or heck build a frigate with a one shot minibreve launcher as a kinda high risk high reward concept.

yifeng fang

to be fair the UAF already has a diverse selection of frigate escorts to choose from, its only in the destroyer line up that feels a bit lacking-ish. and UAF Mech would be cool.

F3nn3LSY

UAF is a bit lacking in its frontline destroyer lineup to be honest. It has a lot of Frigates but in terms of destroyers, most tend to be for backline like the carriers, or not as tanky like the Seiichi and tend to be destroyed quickly. We need more frontline destroyers.

Archmage of the God-Queen

I will advocate for a frontline Anti-Air destroyer with a built-in module that boosts point-defense and gives bonuses for being near a cruiser/capital ship. Since point-defense weapons are generally flux-efficient, it can be given low flux dissipation - but large capacitors and an efficient 360-degree shield to tank damage and stay in the fight for longer. The variants can include: 1 - November: much slower and much heavily-armored variant (you don't need speed when you just need to keep up with the capital ship and tank). 2 - Automata: carrier variant with built-in point-defense drones (and, as usual, more speed and less armor).

Feej Thoj

A experimental frigate/destroyer will be nice. One that taps into phase but does not have true or advance phase technology .Probably along the line of the wolf class frigate and uses the phase skimming from previous automata nakiha class. Also, I just want something to replace the gremelin phase ship for fleet doctorine.

Shea Briar

I agree that the UAF needs at least one more commonly available destroyer, as its best destroyers are locked behind the Favonius trade hub and don't appear in fleets. I also believe the Vaharagiri's fire rate malus for its AEGIS system is too high; 20% would be more appropriate.

Oni Satsugai Sha

honestly speaking I want to say yes, however with how extensive and versatile your faction's ship roster already is in starsector its really hard to justify this, hmm.... a destroyer with its own unique artillery weapon sounds nice but that can easily be achieved with what we already have (albeit in the form of a frigate or should i say a capital-class ship artillery with a frigate built around it), and since your faction doesn't dable into phase-tech (yet), maybe now is your excuse to make that one prototype happen, something to combat phase-tech like a destroyer/frigate that can launch its own custom phase-warhead that stays phased when launched (for at least a few seconds) and can lock onto enemies or is able to hit phased enemies (specially those small annoying ones that captures strategic points and moves like a damn fly during combat) or it can even be an EMP-warhead has the potential to force phased ships back into real space.

Tacoman

Maybe a fast aggressive destroyer? Basically a giant version of an Aria/Forlorn with a single... barreled? rotary Penulisa and some missile slots. Made to bully frigates and jump on Cruisers/Capitals that are busy fighting other ships. Wtih maneuvering jets or another speed burst ship system so it can get into position easier. Honestly I've just been rabid to get the Violyric from the first ship lineup picture you put out. So maybe that's affecting my decision making.

John Stanley

Need more Destroyers. Have a good number of other class of ships but a real lack of Destroyer options. I also support mechs, but more Destroyers should be the priority.

Irish

Overall I think the only think that is immediately needed would be a frontline destroyer. Not something to go off on its own though since the focus is to protect the carrier or capital ship. While the UAF certainly has a plethora of cruiser options for this, against something like high tech fleets? Those cruisers will get quickly out flanked (as I’ve found out the very hard way) and be unable to deal with the threat both in front and to the side of them…Hmm actually this gives me an idea. Imagine if it’s akin to an actual ship. As in, it has the shape or profile of one. Relatively narrow but with a full (or less than) 360 degrees of traverse for the turret(s). And considering its job would be to help hold the line rather than attack outright, maybe it could be PD focused or have one of the shield abilities! It’d probably only have a few mounts though, and no fighters since its purpose it to protect the things carrying the fighters. Could be an interesting deviation that might be caused by encounters with high tech fleets that flank around carriers while capitals distract most of the UAF fighters. Overall there’s a LOT of possibilities for it, and personally I think it would be a design meant to be versatile for different situations, like a PD configuration, or a version for only energy/hybrid mounts for the Automta division, who knows, maybe even a fortress shield to really soak up some attention :] Anyways sorry for my rambling, if you read this far, I hope you have a magnificent day or night!!! (I’m so glad I finally managed to update my mods lmao)

Nic Olds

Some stealth frigate idea would be really cool. Thinking like automata frigate that has provided a lot of the same benefits as phase without phase technology. Like emission sinking technology or something. Give it large unguided torpedos and we have a stealth submarine that can be used like a phase ship.

Erik Killa11

I would love to have a small anti rocket and Fighter Ship. Right now there is nothing that is small and will survive any amount of rocket spam or some of the stronger fighter wings. So something that has a lot of small wepon mount's.

StormTAG

Maybe I missed the boat, but a gunship tender would be a neat, very UAF doctrine-esque, option. Basically a slightly larger Minoria, designed to handle the gunships (Pengwas, Neoscar, etc.) with an ability to add 1 to the deployment size of any squadron with only size 1. Just give it mediocre replacement rate so if it loses its gunships, it’s basically out of the fight for any reasonable engagement. Would also be an ideal platform for launching Neuko Mechs ala Arma Armatura, is that ever becomes a thing.
