Joint Training Exercises (Patreon)
Content
Hello guys,I'd like to reveal a plan that I've been wanting to do for years now.This is 'Joint Training Exercise'. A repetitive series of 'bar encounter' type you would usually come across in any Auroran territories such as Favonius and Lunamun for example. Similar to the vanilla's roughnecks event you commonly come across but in various scale.Details are as followed;
Once you gained enough reputation in the Federation, you will be randomly invited or come across a recruitment poster for an annual event. You can either choose to contribute by sending your crew en masse to convert into marines or send in your existing marines for significant experience gain. Up to three levels of events will be randomly available to the player at a time and each will show how you and your men join and learn differently from the Federation, known for their combined arms tactic even on the ground.
The higher the level of event, the rarer it is to spawn.
General participation may require random amount of credits to join. This is excluding the second half of the event success requirement. ( Cost might depend on the general price of marines on market <TBD> )
Platoon Level
Up to 10 ~ 50 marines or crew.
Company Level
Up to 60 ~ 200 marines or crew.
Regimental Level
Up to 300 ~ 2000 marines or crew.
There is a catch however. There's a small chance that the program might fail due to various reasons such as logistical or environmental hazards. This is likely to RNG-based and can be negated by contributing resources into the program such as credits and heavy arms.
So, why is this going to be a thing?
Well, aside from its general usefulness for player invasion campaigns in Nexerelin playthrough. I'd also like to do marine related missions in the future especially during the Queen's main story campaign. If everything goes as planned, we could make this happen. Otherwise, it'll be just another fun side doodle for me to include into the mod someday.So, what do you guys think? Do you like it or have an idea or two for suggestion? Let me know in the comments below.
Sincerely,
CY
