Hello guys,I'm here to report that the first milestone of the next major update have been reached. I will now work on the Cherry Vanguard and some other stuff next.I'd like to ask you guys a question, so please take this seriously because this is irreversible as I intended to finalize the mod as much as I can.Do you guys want the normal Purcellyra to have it's four large missile mounts back? Lemme know your thoughts below, I might give this a week or two before I implement the boat into the game.

It seems that the overwhelming majority wants the four L Missile slots back, Cy.

SLNT

Missile boat huh? I will never say no to that :D

Anaîs Sokolova

We could also settle for 4 XL Missile slots.

Douglas

I guess what's the other option if we dont have 4l missile slots

Svxns

Semiquavers...?

Edward

Generally I prefer powerful ships that are appropriately expensive. A Purcellyra with overwhelming missile firepower but a DP and sup/month cost to justify it is better than a more modest vessel. So how much of my fleet is likely to die if I let the PC control a semiquaver? The semibreve is already painfully indiscriminate.

cyrille_yukimaru

Considerably less likely in the future, we have successfully implemented a 'safety' feature for the weapon. It's now a two-staged missile that only activate its nuclear warhead upon reaching it's target. Otherwise, its just a big fat reaper-esque torpedo.

Natsafu Albs

If we knew what the semiquaver implied i think the results might change tbh

Edward

So it won’t detonate in your face if there is a scrap of wreckage right in front of the launcher? Excellent.

azfar azhar

I say keep its original 4 slots as to avoid being to similar as the Persephone Natasya cause that has two internal semibrave with nuke aa thats functional and what I use as main capital cause the 4 semibrave is more deadly to itself. Also it gives people more options and keep its unique 4 large missile slots.

cyrille_yukimaru

The Songbird is the Persephone Natasya. I'm just updating it and giving it a shorter name in the next update.

cyrille_yukimaru

That only applies if the intended target is far enough from the missile to not trigger the second stage activation. Otherwise, yes - its safe.

azfar azhar

Okay did not know that though it was a refresh or a variant of the original. If it is just persephone natasya not much I can say than just to change the look and the name I honestly love its balance of integrated semibrave its nuke aa with 2 main guns as a complement its perfect but I guess you're going to change it from the votes

WWlad

I even logged in just to vote YES!

If its meant to be a missle boat lean on to it alsoits what makes this ship fun to use, if youre trying to do a rebalance then take away other things not the missles. Imo

swypeng

Because there's already Pegasus, which have four L missiles, in vanilla game, I think it will be ok for Purcellyra to also have four, as long as other parameters are sensible. On the other hand, considering that Pegasus is one of the strongest battleship, Purcellyra will also be quite powerful with all four missiles back. So it's actually depend on how effective you want Purcellyra to be.

SidingShadow

while 4 Large Missile mounts are really fun, I will always prefer to have a ship with more personality then just a bunch of slots to put whatever in, and its not like the ship was missing options

Yuki Yukkira

If it's a significantly bigger boom, I would 10000% like more friendly fire accidents LOL

Celso Cornado

I like the inbuilt mounts with the two front composite (I think) hardpoints
