Hi ! Power here (pow's fandom) I'm so glad you checked out something released by them, they're really talented boys and I think you could love them. I thought I'd give some more info on them ! As you know, Dongyeon is part of the group (he's the main dancer), and I don't know if you noticed but Yorch from Trainee A is in it too ! They're Grid Entertainment's first group, and they debuted with 'Dazzling' after releasing a predebut single named 'Favorite' (you should check these songs out !). They're a really fresh and youthful group, and you can tell they have fun with everything they do (I love that about them). Pow is composed of 5 members : Jungbin, Yorch, Hyunbin, Dongyeon, and Hong. They also don't have a set rap position in the group, they're mostly a vocal group. They describe themselves more as a "feel-good" group, as Jungbin (their leader) said in an interview with Nylon (worth checking out if you're curious about them) : "Many K-pop groups are known to boast high-energy and powerful choreography and music. While we certainly share the same characteristic, we actually want to be more known as a feel-good group. We want to bring smiles and laughter through music, sometimes even bringing a few tears too, as we want to connect with our fans on an emotional level. We want to be a group that grows alongside our fans, and just like our name, POW, suggests, we want to be an exciting event to your lives." I think it differenciate them from other groups, and for now they really manage to be that group (at least to me). Their music is so easy to listen and sing along to, and they're right, it makes you feel good !! If you want to check out their music, I'll add a quote from Jungbin about their debut EP (from another interview) : "The concept of 'Favorite' is a memory of the five boys' summer days. The songs that embody POW's passion for friendship, love, and dreams that make summer days brilliant are “Favorite,” “Dazzling,” “Slow Dancing,” and “Amazing.” “Favorite” is a pre-debut song that first showed POW's team color to the public and fans. “Dazzling” is our debut song. You can also feel the vocal characteristics of the five members. Even though it is an easy-listening song, it has a strong middle tone, so you will be able to sing along easily. And for “Slow Dancing,” Yorch and I participated in writing the lyrics. It's a song that has a lot of meaning to us. “Amazing” is the song that shows the strongest performance among the four songs, so you can discover POW's unique charm." I can't wait to see how they'll grow, I personally first started to take an interest to them because of Dongyeon and Yorch, but I really fell in love with the other members too, they're the embodiment of youth and friendship, they're so easy to love and they're kind of my happy pills !! Sorry for the very long comment, but I don't see a lot of people checking them out and being interested in them, I hope you'll give them a chance because they're really worth it and underrated !! I know you have a lot of stuff to react to, but I hope you'll at least keep them in the back of your mind ! Thank you And if this comment motivates anyone to check them out, I'll be very grateful, they really deserve the world !
