Hey guys I wanted to give you an update that I was not able to film today and I will do my best to film tomorrow and release new reactions then.

Even with just those two days of filming--my jaw is in excruciating pain.

"Reacting" or moving my jaw hurts and it feels like it's going to fall off. I spent my time painting my set and icing my jaw, hoping it would get better, and it's better than before, but I don't want to aggravate it again. Based on my past 4 weeks, it should be better by tomorrow.

I can tell you that if my jaw is better tomorrow I'm doing Golden Disc and YT comebacks and listening parties and I'll release them same day.

This leads me to the future of my channel, and what to do with reactions and content going forward. I'm going to keep filming until I have a definitive plan and I get a better understanding of my situation (my dentist appointment is not until the end of April). But seeing how limited my stamina and thus time, I need to make some changes.

Please watch the video for more and if you'd like to see Form of Therapy continuing in this realm, your feedback as a viewer would be greatly appreciated.

I really hope you feel better soon!

I'm really sad that you want to stop variety content... because I love to react and enjoy all the variety about Enhypen and ZB1... they are both my UG so I'm sad you could stop it... I understand your point I'm just sad not being able to see you react to a group we both enjoy... I hope you feel better soon 💕

Brianna

hey pd, sorry to hear about the jaw pain hope you feel a better soon! Personally I think the multi-group reactions aren't a bad idea, especially if you do a second video later that week to talk about certain mvs after reviewing it a few times. It will 1. appeal to the people that want their specific group that gets less discussed to be viewed by you and 2. let's you really take the time to form an opinion on groups you may not view as often. I've seen creators make similar mass catch up reactions, but your commentary in a separate podcast video sounds great! Also i'm a bit sad to see less variety content reactions but you are only one person and can't react to every single variety show for every group. I can barely do that myself just watching it, let alone making commentary and filming it! So I completely understand if you just want to make it a personal viewing for groups just let you get to know them! I've been a viewer for many years now I personally prefer videos with you giving honest critiques and reviews of either the music, film aspects or just overall! I feel that your love for groups and kpop comes out best in these videos compared to just variety. It's that part that made you my favorite reactor, the genuine care for the craft and art of it all. I personally watch your reactions to dance practices, performances, vocal performances, ect. you always have great commentary. Overall I am glad to see you trying to cut back and see what you can personally reasonably handle. With more and more groups, at the amount of content you've tried to cover, you'll always feel behind. Which even I do feel behind on what groups are out and each groups personal content. So I don't blame you or want you to feel ashamed that you can't do it to the extent you used to be able to. I just always look forward to your music video reactions most these days, as for kpop the music is always #1 to me over anything. Again, hope you feel better!

Sarahvtae

Hey PD! 1. Hope you get better soon❤ 2. I can't watch the video rn, because i'm at work, but i'll watch it later. 3. I know it's off topic, but did you see my reply to your question about the Exo concert? And if yes...what is your opinion now? Are you going to add it and the Shinee concert to your list?

TC

Maybe I'm in the minority, but I'm on board with stopping most variety content. Unless it's a show like Weekly Idol that cycles through multiple groups, solo group variety shows just take up too much time and will never truly satisfy every patron, ever. What's most important to me, is that you keep current with kpop music landscape (obviously you can't get to EVERYTHING, but much much more than you have been in the last 1-2 years) - especially if you want to one day create your own company and kpop group, you absolutely HAVE to be up to date with what's going on or you'll be hopelessly behind because kpop moves SO fast. I don't need 60+ minute reviews for every release, I just want you to experience more music and stay current. So I'm fine with the 'kpop round-up' podcast ideas.

Bella

My personal thoughts/feedback: First of all..How is Blaire? I hope you get better! I agree with you to stopping filming that amount variety content, maybe those related to your favorite groups. There are so many concerts that I believe you would be electrified by the quality. I get really excited when you post dance practice, stage videos, studio choom, Lee Mujin, vocal performances because I believe it adds more value to the song/mv/artist and you notice the hidden details. Thank you for not consider to stop filming the drama and anime club. About the listening party situation... I don't mind not listening to the music but I don't agree with you posting everything there. I feel that only the mv and the listening party as it was before. Maybe posting a video from your patreon there to attract more people, but it's important to be active there. Many people who are just subscribed to your channel are in the dark wondering what happened. I agree with the long catch up and the review/discussion/podcast about what caught your attention the most (but for this to last you need to resolve the issue with your jaw, this is actually what I think your audience complains about the most is the lack of consistency) It's hard to choose which side I like the most because you're my favorite reactor and I've been following you for over 5 years now but I prefer when you give your honest opinion/critique and film aspect it's what makes your videos more valuable but it doesn't need to be so long and detailed. Honestly it would take SO long if you do them all, just stick with the current one. In the meantime, I believe it would be very good to post polls here on patreon to make it easier for you to select which group/video people are waiting for, you will get a real response from your audience and it will help to be more limited!

Hey PD! Firstly if you're in an unhealthy relationship with inner stress (and we all know you are) your body aches. But I guess you know that already. So I hope you can relax a bit after putting out this video. You really need to watch after yourself. Burnout is a serious disease. Secondly my ult-group is ateez but I dont need any variety show from you except of seventeen stuff. Why? Because it makes you happy (and it's my personal healing content hehe) So I hope you will put GoSe and etc reactions out. I really dont need any other variety content ☺️ Thirdly: Yes to live shows, dance practices and concerts! (and also yes to drama and anime club. I love to watch them with you hehe) Lastly: It's really a hell of ride with all the comebacks and new groups lately. I dont even know half of the new groups everyone is talking about in the group chat haha 😭 But the "podcast" video with new videos every week is such a good idea. And really the last one: I really get why some people are kinda annoyed. But please kick the ones who are just unnecessarily mean. There are a few people here who dont even give constructive criticism but just insulting comments and thats not good for your mental health (and for my blood pressure) hahahah (and sorry for my bad english haha 😭) But honestly just do what makes it easier for you. React to things you like. You dont need for example Listening parties for every group comeback you're reacting to. Just react to those you're really interested in. It makes it easier for you (and more enjoyable for us ☺️) I really hope you get well soon and can't wait for what the future will hold for you ❤️ sending love for you and also for blaire 🥰

Hi PD, sorry to hear about your physical condition and please always keep your health a priority over everything else. Regarding your proposal going forward, here are my thoughts: 1. Youtube stuff: I personally (and I think the majority too) enjoy your reactions because you bring a lot of valuable and interesting insights as someone who is familiar with the Korean culture and also a producer/creator who really appreciates art and is knowledgable in the field too. That's why I would still prefer that we can see both of your reaction and review on Kpop comebacks. The solution here would be - to scale down on the number of groups/comebacks that you cover. We have to admit that we can't fulfill everyone's requests and I would be fine if you just cover the groups that you WANT to. The format that you suggested (to put out a long reaction first and then a review podcast later) is also good, but I just think it won't be as effective as when you do a review right after a reaction. 2. Variety shows: I also agree with your decision to not pursue variety content anymore (even though I stan Seventeen and would love to watch GoSe with you)because it really takes a lot of time and energy. And it would be good for us to just focus on the "K-pop" aspect of the channel like in the beginning :) That's why I also support for more content like concerts, music covers, dance practice, or anything else of that realm that you'd enjoy 3. Pricing: I've subscribed for nearly 4 years now and have always appreciated the content that you put out. With the quality of content that we've been getting, I don't think it's expensive either, especially when I know there are a lot of people pirating your content which is so unfair - so just want to say that I'll keep supporting you. Hope that you and Blaire get well soon!

I'm sorry to hear you're sick rn, but sometimes i wonder what you would do if you worked an actual full time job? You can't be sick for 70% of the year, so you should be grateful that through patreon, you actually have the opportunity to rest for so long and work at your own pace... big privilege, I'm jealous ngl

auska

Hi, first of all I hope your physical condition gets better soon! And considering dropping the variety shows, I feel kind of sad about it, but I think it would be smart 😅 All these shows just take a huge amount of time, so by stopping them you could have a lot of more time for reacting to (for example) the actual comebacks. On the other side I think that some variety shows especially are really good as healing content and mood booster! I have seen you laugh out loud pretty often while reacting to Gose, so stopping that would be sad. I personally would still be happy if we could watch Gose together, the rest I could check out on my own. This is of course my very personal opinion, I know for a lot of people here Seventeen is probably not their favourite group 😅 I think it would be a shame if you missed out content like the Youth over Flowers episodes with Seventeen. They were really healing for me personally! Lastly I just want to say, I think it would in some way be the best if you check out truly what you want to check out! (Sorry, my English is not so good 😅)

Hello PD, First of all, I hope you feel better soon. I very rarely write comments, but today I'm making an exception. I love your reactions! I subscribed to your Patreon a while ago because I wanted to see your reactions to Ateez & Seventeen. I'm a huge Ateez fan! I understand your situation & also that you have to reduce the Variety reactions, but I love your reactions to Seventeen. And I know that Seventeen is your favorite band. I completely agree that you want to give up the Variety reactions, but I think you should make an exception for Seventeen. It would be very, very sad if we didn't watch the next episodes of Going Seventeen together. And I also think that you should do reactions to Youth over Flowers ("Nana Tour"). You've often said that Seventeen is your "healing" group, so if I were you, I would stop all Variety reactions except for the ones you really want to do. I wouldn't need any other Variety reactions apart from Seventeen. Of course, this is just my opinion and you should do what is best for you. In regards of concerts, dance practices and live shows I am 100% in. It would be nice to see more of them. I hope you have a great day, I just got up (it's 10am in Germany)!

Denise

omg! hello from austria ☺️ ateez and seventeen are my favorite groups too! 🤍

Zonas is Okee

I will be honest, I just want more comeback reactions over anything

Sven Lenders

Hi PD, I personally think the fact you want to do this all by yourself might be the biggest problem here. I think you are a very hard worker and you want to try to make things work for everybody, plus you want to make everything perfect, even the details of it all. But i’m going to bounce back your own question “was it worth it?”. Was it worth pushing everything to the limit for some people who will always have their own opinions on these topics? I think you should listen more to your own body and heart, but at the same time distribute the work this takes. I know you had some trouble in the past with people working for you, I think those people weren’t the right ones for the job. If you were to hire people who show interest in “your company”, I think they would happily be working for you. That’s why I think the street team was a really good idea, we would search for the content so you could just fully focus on reacting to it. What I would have added though would be some street supervisors who would check the content on duration, relevance and entertainment value. I don’t know if Korea is still in your moving plans, but I know the people there are very hard workers (I think you know that yourself as well). Would you be able to work together with people over there? Would that solve a lot of the problems? I am also thinking if it would be possible for you to work together with a company? Because I see other reactors doing things like that and i’m thinking to myself “Why doesn’t PD have a collaboration, he is one of the biggest reactors”. I think doing all these things on your own might be the cause of physical problems (like your jaw for example), i think a big part of it might be related to stress (not saying it is just stress but it could increase the pain of it). Like i said in a message on a post a couple of days ago, this is your channel so you get to decide what you want to do with it, how you want to take things on, how you want to perceive feedback and feed forward (i’m just a fellow autistic guy behind his PC typing this sh*t and i don’t know a f*ck about film making). Just remember, most of us are here for you and are just happy to see you react to stuff (whatever that might be, I could even watch you react to bread falling over). Do it the way you want to do it, but listen to what your body, heart, bank account, people who care about you say to improve your health. Then on the topic of what I would like to see and I mostly skip: Like: MV reactions: I love the fact that you give way more details and information about the filming aspect of those video’s. But the thing I like even more is indeed how you can go crazy over some comebacks. I would say that people need to give a good reason why it would be relevant for you to check an MV out (for example it might be a big 4 group, it might contain someone from a survival show you liked which you can stop reacting to if you didn’t like the debut for example, the way the MV is shot, the scale of the MV,...) and then you decide if you want to check it out Survival Shows: I can see you always get heavily invested in these shows because you want every kid to get a shot at making it into the KPOP scene. You also give your opinion on how each individual did on stage and how they could improve. That makes me enjoy your reactions to these shows way more than your reactions to variety shows, you actively watch what is happening in the show and you get totally invested into them Bonus drops: I think bonus drops are very entertaining because you get to see how the idols will either see a side of them you never saw before or you see how they interpreted some other persons song (POW - What makes you beautiful, Heesung - Off my face, …) A thing I really want to see from KPOP in the future is groups switching songs more often or picking up western songs and rebrand, remake or choreograph them (there are some AI generated covers that blew my mind). Something I for exemple can't stop thinking about is how Monsta X (insert other group A) and Stray Kids (insert other group B) would sound on each others songs. We saw it in kingdom before with those 6 groups, and i absolutely loved that sh*t. For people reading this, who would you like to see switch songs? I am genuinely curious. Podcast: I think that would be a genius idea, you could get more in detail about certain things you want to discuss. You could put the sound on streaming services and the videos on patreon for example (I personally listen to A LOT of podcasts while traveling, in school, while working). Producer Vlog Okay, hear me out, you talk a lot about side projects and stuff you want to set up, but until now, we haven’t seen any of it. So, why don’t you film some stuff (doesn’t need to be in a vlog format) of what you are doing behind the scenes regarding these other projects. I think that would be very entertaining and maybe we could help you out on several aspects. Not a defined opinion Lee Mujin: I sometimes watch it, and sometimes I don’t. If i watch it I would probably skip through just listening to the songs (Lee Mujin is a nice guy and a really good singer, but I don’t necessarily think he is the best interviewer) Dislike Variety shows: There are some instances I would watch some variety shows (if it is really funny or if it includes something very relevant), but most of the time it takes up too much of my time compared to the value those videos give me. I don’t even watch the variety shows of my favorite groups because i don’t value it that highly (except for the fact i want to get to know them better, then i’ll either watch a guide, in which they show a lot of clips from variety shows, or i’ll put those to the side until I have some spare time) Rare exceptions are Tripe S member additions, if the idols play fun games (like maffia, game caterers, that seventeen one where they needed to get out of the building unnoticed), or if it gives me BTS (behind the scenes) information (like kingdom week) Listening Parties: I don’t give a damn about listening parties, because every group will push out several songs that sound similar or aren’t even my taste in music. How you could still include this is by making people choose 1 or 2 songs from each album for you to check out on your own so you can decide if you want to listen or react to that album in your own time Drama /anime: I used to care about this a lot more in the past, but i think for me it depends on which show for me to like it, so I would say react to the ones you genuinely want to see but don’t react to them if you’re not into them (people can leave suggestions, but you shouldn't continue if you don’t feel the vibe of the show) So this is what I think about how you should tackle the patreon from now on. I’m just some random dude giving you feedback, you don’t have to do any of this if you don’t want to. PD, you are an amazing person and you want to make sure everyone is enjoying the content, but that might be impossible since everyone has different opinions and values. You just be you and enjoy being a reactor and a video/film producer. 재혁 in the past years, you have made sure you put out everything people wanted from you. Now it’s time you put out what you want to put out. Follow your dreams, go on a journey of discovery so you know how to get there. You said you want to work more with KPOP idols (not sure if that's still the case), maybe you could reach out to the companies with a nice idea or a concept you can show them, if it is good, they would be stupid to reject the offer because of the attention they would get form recording with one of their biggest “distributors”. And lastly, you wanted to become the next 방시혁, the next HYBE, so make sure you will get there. With the knowledge you have on KPOP, you can basically start making a group right now. Of course there will be a lot of practical things before you can do that, but maybe you could hire a consultant who could inform you on that. Because I think there are a lot of guys/girls out there that would give their life to debut at an ethically caring company at an either younger or older age. 재혁, go show them that 방시혁 is not even close to what you can achieve, I can see the passion, the motivation and the willpower in every video you make. I’ll just say it, you’re not already 32, you are just 32. Don’t try to see things in a bad light, there is this way of thinking called appreciative inquiry, I think if you would adapt that to your daily life, you would be able to look at a lot of things differently. 재혁, 당신은 잘하고 있습니다.

I've been on the 3$ support tier for many months now. I personally dont really care that much about reactions anymore but want to support the Form Of Therapy brand and it's future. I feel like there is so much more in store for Form of Therapy than you just sitting infront of your screen, watching videos all day every day becuase people are screaming at you "WHY HAVENT YOU REACTED TO X?? WHY DIDNT YOU CHECK OUT XX COMEBACK YET?? In my ideal world, you'd cut out variety which would free a lot more time, give your input on music videos on youtube and try to get more involved in the idustry itself. Maybe ask companys to interview the groups, small fun games with idols etc. - focusing more on your producer side. Like y'all did with MOOD MKR. Like two videos like that a month would already top any amount of reactions to me. MODHAUS for example reached out to a bunch of youtubers for tripleS and Heejins solo comeback and even the smallest youtubers got to interview and talk to them. I'm 100% certain if you wanted to, you could've done one too. Maybe the issue is also that you have to 100% rely on patreon for your income. Which puts a lot of pressure on keeping the patreon as big as possible and is forcing you to put so much time into only the patreon. Maybe there are other ways to get income with kpop focused brand deals or working with groups for payment etc. I would love to see more engaging kpop content than just reactions for the future of Form Of Therapy.

WiseSmellyLegs

Regarding content… I’ll be fully fucking honest, my biggest interest/goal is to know your point of view on many parts in Shingeki no Kyojin and to have a discussion with you about the whole end. + ranking all of the openings, once you finish it, that’s one of the favorite things of mine (in general with animes but mainly with this show!!). I don’t know what to say to the rest… having a YouTube membership for the “basic bonus content” and providing it the way you said for a dollar, sounds okay. I personally am one of those who mainly listens to your content. Like I watch the part of the actual reaction, but then the rest of the video I mainly just listen to, so the idea of podcast and reviewing it all works fine for me. If I could give one feedback regarding the pain of yours… It’s a bit weird to compare it to giving a birth or anything. First… each individual feels the level of pain differently + comparing it to giving a birth, but at the same time not having this experience, felt weird to read it in the post.

HanaCARAT💎

I cant watch the video at the moment coz still at work (on break now) but i will try to get to that later. 🥺Also way down at the end , i will once again write the same suggestion i came up with months ago, if PD finds it helpful at all i will be really glad. Its just a thought... I hope PD Reads it. 🥺🥺 Now about PD and everyone else, i just want to say everyobe should prioritise their health above anything else. No matter how hard u work, earn money, or live ur dreams to the fullest if ur not healthy u canno be happy and at peace. U cannot enjoy the things u love to the max even if u get to do those things. So first take care of your health and the people who are physically around u too. My previous suggestion ⬇️🥺 I feel like PD should limit variety content to a selected amount of his favourite BG and GG. (lets say 5 to 7 for each in total)  and could still react to mvs and stuff or any catchy stuff a group not in the list drops every now and then not every month. And also limit how many dramas pd would cover at a time along with anime. I think 2 to 3 dramas is good. Lets say take into account the most in demand groups by us followers which also align with pd taste in music and make a final decision as i mentioned above. That way pd can keep most of us satisfied with content and still get time to take a break each month. Also limit how many ep of each variety show will be covered in a month. I think 1or 2 days for each variety is totally fine. And believe it or not not every single kpop group have variety content on the same level as the other. So its fine being picky. As long as you get back to those groups in some form, whether through eunchaes star diary OR KStar next door. These shows can remain regulars as they will eventually allow coverage of almost all well known groups and even rookies. I feel like trying to cover soo much in a month and making promises which are  close to impossible to fulfill on schedule is what drives us followers a bit mad and also puts soo much pressure on PD. Thus having a limit, sound like the solution to me . Its just my personal opinion. ➕ Also theres more kpop groups than one could count easily now. And it will keep increasing. So i donot believe PD could check all comebacks and debuts. What i would like to suggest is PD first watch a debut which seems promising or which majority of people suggest and then decide if that group will be on ur radar or not.

renjun fan

I know you want to please everyone PD but I really think you would be much happier if you resigned yourself to only reacting to the groups you love or the content that sticks out to you as interesting. I also think maybe creating a schedule for yourself but not posting it would benefit you too. Not having scheduled content allows room for you to breathe when you need it and it keeps your viewers from feeling entitled over what they believe they deserve from you. At the end of the day reacting to content is not special and what keeps your viewers coming back is their connection to you personally. Being unapologetic about the future you want for your own content will not be poorly received by those who support you. I wish you the best, and a healthy recovery.

Hi PD, sucks that you're in pain. I deal with joint problems myself and know there's flare ups and stuff and sometimes it gets really bad. I just wanted to say that I love your reactions and have for years. I love BOTH the reactions & the commentary you make, my issue is I dont really care about 90% of the content you put out which is on me because im not a multi & quite honestly I only care about NCT 127 & the 127 members solos/units, maybe some NCT U stuff that involves 127 members & seldomly Kai, Taemin or a random artist I casually like but im definitely not into most Kpop acts which again, thats on me & my personal preference. I dont really care about anime club & ive never watched any kdrama reactions either but I do love your listening parties (again for 127 & my exceptions) & some content related to them. I dont really like the whole no audio reaction thing personally but yeah idk its kinda complicated for me since I love your content but its very specific about whom so I usually just re-sub when I see you do something with 127 bc I would never pirate your content so I guess ill just wait & see what happens and hope for the best :') I do agree with what some have said that you need to get help with some aspects bc its a lot for 1 person & thats probably where a lot of your physical & psychological burdens are coming from. I know because ive been affected by autistic burnout and its a bitch to deal with & its what gave me tremendous joint pain to the point I needed help sitting down and standing up so yeah anyways. Hope you feel better & ill just hope for the best with 127 related stuff XD

Sami Casingal

I didn’t watch the video, but I would also say to cut back on variety shows but make seventeen an exception like others have said here. Personally, I haven’t had time or the drive to watch groups’ variety shows on my own but even though BTS, MONSTA X, and ATEEZ are also my top 4 groups along with SEVENTEEN, I would be down watching more SVT stuff with you and that includes Nana Tour (so basically out of all my top 4 groups, it would be a win win for a lot of us if you continued SVT variety shows since it’s your ult group and ours too and the variety show I’d watch the most out of the rest of my fave groups). I don’t mind listening parties, but I only watch your reactions to them if it’s from one of my fave groups or the album is just that good in my opinion, otherwise I don’t care for LPs for other groups that much. Now for anime and dramas, I need you to keep those. You can cut down on how many you do and only ask for suggestions or make a poll after you completely finish one drama or anime at a time. Maybe continue and finish the ones you and Blaire have been watching and then cut back a little more after you finished the ones you started. But, I still hope you keep reacting to anime and dramas because aside from Kpop, those are also what I love. And ever since you started introducing them to your channel here, I’ve never been happier. No pressure lol, but you are the reactor I always look forward to the most, especially with the drama and anime aspect of it (and with the Kpop groups I love that you react to)

Tasia

I like variety content but I'm ok with you keeping SVT, to do, enoclock since those are like your sons and you like them!! They also are some of my favorites. You do put out alot of content for just being 20 dollars a month to be honest and I have been very grateful for that. I think for variety keeping what you wanna watch is fine unless you want to add another group in that you fall for. I think the YouTube suggestion with reacting to a bunch of videos in 1 is perfectly fine with me. Also if you are doing more live stages I would really appreciate that I think that helps seeing how they improve and stage presence! Overall I'm ok with the changes saf about the variety content decrease but I think it's the right choice to only do variety content that you enjoy and if u want to watch something to get to know a group you can watch that on your own and put a discussion video out for it. Overall I'm good with the changes I'm also sorry about the people pirating your content which is honestly wrong. In my opinion the prices are also less than what it should be so don't let that get to you when people ask to decrease prices. I also know you have been going through alot personal wise and getting sick so I just hope stress won't be added to your troubles and hope you get better! I'm not sure of you are religious or not but praying, writing, or voice recording my thoughts help me organize myself. You should give it a try. But I hope you have a blessed day PD!!!

Venus

I just sub for kdrama content and life content. so if you react to more kdramas and maybe do vlogs or just give some life updates that would be great. I am interested in what you want to achieve career wise and I have been invested in your mental health getting better. The onyl videos I really don't watch on your account is KPOP/Variety show content. I would also request that you just take breaks when you need to instead of forcing yourself to mke promises that arent reliable. mental health comes first

Aj Tree

I originally subscribed for the reactions to dance practices and music videos and live stages. That is what I wanted to watch. Then as you moved more towards variety I was honestly a little disappointed but you still made the reactions so I was okay. Now days it feels like you never have time to react to comebacks and break down things like studio choom. I was actually really excited when you added drama and anime club because I was sure that you would have unique insight into things I would not ever think about. I really like the idea of going back to reacting and breaking down mvs and live stages while also focusing and concerts and things like that. I also hope that you keep your anime and drama clubs if they truly do not bother you as much as they are such a nice chill thing to watch. I have watched how you struggled with keeping promises versus taking care of yourself and really to me even if you promised something as long as there was an update even if it was a I had to cancel update I was content. The main thing I hope is that whatever you do is what is best for your mental and physical health.

lllllllllllalaaa

i think the weekly youtube video is a good idea, could allow you to catch up on missed comebacks and react to new ones without missing too much. imo you should focus on this instead of variety there where you can cover only very very few groups and not satisfy even 20% of your patreons. i personaly like the formula kulture study that you have on youtube being a mix of your genuine reaction and then a break down of Music and Video Production elements

Frannie

I would be very happy if you kept on reacting to en o'clock and going seventeen since that was why I first subscribed. Along the way I have really enjoyed watching your reactions to haikyuu and attack on titan. I'm a carat and engene so I'm mainly interested in your reactions about enhypen and seventeen.

PD!! Absolutely put your health first (happy to support you on that journey as well). Though I love your commitment in general to being responsive to your subscribers on YT and members on Patreon, and I hear your heart, you need to first align your activities with your interests, loves, intentions and goals. It's only sustainable, rewarding, and impactful if it's something you find joy or value in. You will not please everyone, or most people most of the time, so you should ideally focus on filling up your life up with what resonates with you -- which then amplifies your reactions and impact to others. It us unacceptable for people to blast you with their frustrations and emotions. May be an age or maturity thing, but regardless you need to ignore that misplaced and toxic noise and just -- at the root -- take care with what you take on yourself and commit to doing within a healthy timeframe for YOU. Let the process and time sort out those who need to move on. The only thing I can add would relate to efficient use of your time. Basically, find 'low time investment' ways to leverage what you are doing anyway to create additional content that by it's very nature you don't have to spend too much time on, if any, editing (or can easily copy out segments for YT, etc. while posting the full/raw reactions on Patreon). If you're already going to binge watch shows, why not announce that morning what and when and then livestream for those who want to join and get your candid 'in real time' reactions and want to build a rapport with you. In regard to "pirated" content, and although not always naturally aesthetic, I would consider what you can do digitally to watermark your videos in some way as a start. I'm in the tech industry (app development, AI, VR, AR) so I'll spend a little time doing some research and if I come across any helpful tools, methods, or innovations to help dissuade this level of abuse I'll let you know.

Liv

Hearing you first open up about Vimeo back then it was so mind boggling how awful a company can be and how predatory it has been to content and finances + hearing that the piracy has been getting bad again makes me so mad—please increase the prices! I feel like that’s the battle that’s been happening the past few years in media and content creation CREATORS NEED TO BE PAID FOR THEIR SERVICES!!! It makes no sense for work to be put out and the consumer wants that work to continue, continue to be given content that they want see, but offer no way for that creator to live off that work and fight against people trying to make it a financially sustainable career ALSO I THOUGHT WE WERE PAST SEEING CREATORS AS OBJECTS AND NOT PEOPLE, isn’t it what we fight against when idols are physically pushed too hard by the company or have expressed mental stress and trying to see them as a whole person and give empathy for that experience rather than be annoyed that it’s impossible to drain the life energy out of them/the consumer receiving happiness in no regard to the health of the artist —I just think this Patreon has been a unregrettable and valuable investment that I will continue to support as I have been in the past years

Liv

I really like the idea of the review show, I think podcasts are also a possibly lucrative turn currently that could make the content creation and output more sustainable i remember loving the black pink album review video and it would be interesting to inquire about entering into YouTube memberships space from other peer creators if it has been as successful as it seems to be going for a lot of major channels over the past 2 years, from the outside perspective I think it has saved a lot of channels and their ability to put out the content they want to

Here are my thoughts: - Have you gone to a doctor for your jaw? I hope there is some way to alleviate pain because that should really be your priority.. I'm sure it's expensive but going to a doctor and figuring out some way to resolve the issue should be the first thing here. Reacting requires speaking and if you're planning to do this long term then I don't see any way out of that. If this means pausing reactions and getting a different job to pay bills (which ppl do all the time), then maybe that's what you need to do.. Sorry if this sounds harsh but I don't see how you can react when you're in pain, unless you stop long form content. - $5/$10 is not too much. However, it is too much when half or more than half of the promised reactions are missing/have broken links. This is no longer the case, but I think you should be able to understand why people would say that. - Truthfully I joined your patreon for your variety reactions. I appreciate that you really focus (very few reactors do) and notice details. You being korean also helps provide context that others might not be able to. I also like that you've reacted to variety shows that not many others have, such as your The Boyz variety shows. I probably won't be here for long if you don't do this type of reaction anymore, but I understand what you're saying and if you don't enjoy reacting to them then there isn't any point. Reacting to concerts would be fun! I don't think it's personally enough for me to stay but I think you would do well in it. - I don't understand why you feel the need to react to so many groups and comebacks. I know people ask for them and maybe you want to please them, but if you try to please everyone then you end up pleasing no one. You are not the only reactor with this problem and I recommend you taking a look at other channels/other patreons to see potential solutions. Lots of reactors I follow will have polls and go based off of that. You could do two patreon voted videos a week, and one video you want to react to yourself, or something along those lines. This is Your patreon. No one should expect you to react to every single thing and I don't think you should stress out about that. People will appreciate you sticking to a group and diving deep, in my opinion, rather than doing one reaction for every group on earth.

Sarahvtae

DISCLAIMER: This is a general opinion. Not just about this specific update/video. If you'd stop reacting to dramas/animes...then at least finish the one's, that you've started first😅 Even if you binge them in a livestream or smth...but at least finish them and don't just stop in the middle of all of them (if it ever comes down to it). If you drop them just like this...then you've basically wasted your time and energy. So...as harsh as it sounds...please get through it. Even if you rush through it, without much commentary...it's still better to do that, than to just leave it. Edit: since i apparently have to clarify my comment: I wasn't sure, if this was a topic in the video, but i assumed so based on some of the comments. Regardless of whether "dropping dramaclub" is a real possibility rn or not...it could be in the future, since a lot of ppl have been talking about "not caring" about it too much. THAT'S why i made my comment. It would be OKAY to make that change...BUT only after finishing what you've started.

Bella

I said the same thing about the polls, it's so much easier!

Aurayaya

? He said he won't quit anime or drama club what are you on about

Sarahvtae

1. Please fix your attitude. 2. There was no malice in my comment (if you did perceive it that way...i apologize). It was just a general opinion. 3. I actually didn't have the time to watch the video yet, but i've been reading the comments from time to time...and some ppl brought up changes for dramaclub/animeclub, so i assumed it was talked about. 4. Not just that, but a LOT of ppl have been trying to talk PD into watering down the drama/anime reactions, cause they personally don't "care" about them...so regardless of whether it was talked about in the video...i want PD to know, that it would be okay, BUT he should finish the one's he's started first before making this change. What is so wrong about that? I pay money for it. Shouldn't i be able to give my opinion?😅

Sami Casingal

That’s what I did too Sarahvtae. I didn’t watch the video but people were mentioned drama and anime club, so I had to say something because I love drama and anime club and want it to continue, but I also mentioned to cut back on it just for his sake. If he at least finished what he started, I’m satisfied with that and the amount being cut back in the future

Sarahvtae

Exactly. I wouldn't mind, if he started going back to strictly being about kpop. But dropping the dramas/animes, that have already been started...simply doesn't feel right to me.

Josh Kalmikoff

It's your life brother! You do what makes you happy!

Artist37

well first of all, you come off extremely entitled (whether you intended it or not). and 2nd...you immediately jumped to attack mode without even watching the video... and finally, while I agree with less Drama/Anime and more Kpop...there are more constructive ways of suggesting as much and you couldve at least waited till you could watch the video to comment.

Sarahvtae

1. I don't think you know what "entitled" means. Cause i'm far from that. Ntm...i pay for this patreon, so i should be able to give my opinions, regardless of whether it's a liked opinion or not. 2. Nowhere did i attack ANYONE in my original comment. Idk what you're talking about. 3. I actually don't agree with the "less drama/anime for more kpop" thingy, but i wouldn't mind it, if it's what PD would prefer (which already kinda disproves your point of me being entitled tbh.) 4. Not everyone has time to watch a 26 minute long video about the same update, that we get every few weeks (no offense to pd, since it's good, that he's at least trying to communicate). And like i said multiple times by now...this isn't just about this specific post. Ppl have been commenting about it for months now. If i can't talk about it on a post talking about the future of this patreon, then where else should i talk about it? I'm certainly not gonna bring it up under a random reaction video. And again...nowhere was my original comment malicious or inappropriate. I just wasn't coddling/babying PD. Which in comparison to some other commenters...IS a constructive way of doing it. Thanks for coming to my ted talk ig.

Sarahvtae

Also just in case it's unclear: Entitled = believing oneself to be inherently deserving of privileges or special treatment. Why am i not entitled? I pay for dramaclub. This is a service. Not a charity. So me wanting the reactions i pay for, doesn't mean i want special treatment. It simply means, i want the other side of this "transactional agreement" to be fulfilled. In simpler words: i want what i pay for. And there's nothing wrong with that. I hope i was able to clarify my intentions now.

Ri

thank you for such an upfront video about your channel and future! i do hope the jaw pain subsides soon, those are the worst types of pain. these are just some suggestions i have in terms of content: 1. variety/drama/anime club that are ongoing and such, I feel it’s best to limit yourself to 3-4 at a time. variety like to-do enoclock or gose is very long term and ongoing so that could be filmed just whenever you have time and there isn’t a time limit demand with those variety since the hype is longstanding. for dramas and anime’s there is a certain period of interest which is the time frame of the release so I believe those should be limited in terms of how many you choose to watch (1-2) at a time. 2. for kpop reactions I think the podcast idea of reacting to a bunch of groups at once is great for newer groups that don’t have an solid discography (2-3 comebacks) yet and having album reactions or deeper dives for groups who have an establishing sound that you have started to note and get interested in. since a lot of us have a huge love for your thoughts on the music scene and cinematography experience as a PD! 3. for videos that are just singular like kode/lee mujin/kstarnextdoor i think having a poll situation would be ideal. every week you can put up four choices and choose one or two with the most votes. that way you satisfy the majority and it’s a lot easier on you in terms of keeping up with the demands and your health! these are just suggestions but in the end you know yourself and your channel direction best so I trust whatever decision you come to. thank you for the content you’ve been releasing up till now!

Portz

How lucky to be able to just say 'i simply can't work today' and stop everything and still get paid. If this was a corporate job, you would have been fired long ago. Be it health related or not

Judy

please just watch the video....srsly, there where a lot of informations in it

Sarahvtae

Okay, respectfully...Are y'all not reading my comments before replying? I've said multiple times now, that this isn't just about this specific post. It's a GENERAL opinion, that i shared based on comments i've seen over MONTHS. So i would appreciate it, if y'all would just leave me alone. After all...we all have the right to share our opinions and my opinions shouldn't even matter to you. Thank you.

Irie

I know we have never met, but as someone who has been a longtime fan of your work, I have to say that I am really proud of you. Many people on here may think otherwise, but I believe you deserve health and wellness just like the rest of us. Do what you need to do. Your mental and emotional health is a priority. Much love PD!

Shayla Lackey

Good thing it isn’t a corporate job. He controls his schedule because this is his platform and if you don’t like that then simply leave. PD has had no problems giving refunds before. I’m not trying to be rude, I’m just saying.

Shayla Lackey

Hey PD! Thank you for all the honesty! Firstly, I really want you to be happy and healthy! As someone who has been here for years I can definitely see a change in your aura. Honestly, I want you to film the things that you enjoy. I loved watching any content you put out simply because it was joyous to see you enjoy yourself. I loved the critical aspect but I also love the reactions too! Whatever works best for you to be able to take breaks so you can show up as your best self! I support you Pd!

Shayla Lackey

I also remember you wanting to film your own things. I was really exciting for that because of how excited you were! I really wanna see you happy! When you you’re genuinely happy and enjoying the things you like, are the best videos!

Shayla Lackey

Also, I just want to preface and say that a lot of corporate jobs do allow people to take Leave of absences with paid sick time. So pls, before you start being hateful, just leave.

veryferal

Thanks for sharing and being so vulnerable, PD. First I want to say that I'm sorry you're receiving unkind messages - that's uncalled for and everyone here has the option not to subscribe or ask for a refund if they're not getting what they want out of their subscription. I know people like to assume or try to determine how much money you're making but truly it's no one's business and they don't have the full picture after fees, costs involved in production, taxes, etc. There's so much more to it that we don't know and I know getting those kinds of messages and then finding out how much your content is being pirated has to be so frustrating. I'm sorry that's happening because it shouldn't be. Second I want to say that I can't imagine how much pressure there is for you to try to make every Patron happy and to be honest, you just can't do it. There's dozens and dozens and dozens of fandoms and every person is going to want something different so I think first and foremost, you have to figure out what works best for you and will make you the happiest. You bring something to reactions that most kpop fans don't get from other reactors - your critical analysis and insight are unique to you and what make you so special. If you build it, they will come - I promise. I know it's scary and I can see you've been trying to figure out how to make this continue to work - it's obvious it's taken it's toll over the years but I hope you find a way that works for you to keep going. As for me, I'll just say that I think a renewed focus on Youtube and possible YouTube memberships is a great idea. On top of that, I think pulling back on variety content is a great idea. It take a long time to film as it's much longer than an MV or dance practice and really doesn't call for the same level of analysis and insight. On top of that, it's time consuming and only of interest to a singular fandom. I listen to a lot of kpop but only stan a few groups. I'll watch Kulture Study's or dance practices/performance videos on almost any Kpop group or MV but rarely watch variety for any groups other than my top few faves. PD, I know putting yourself first is hard and while it's important to get all of our insight to help you decide what direction to go, your own personal wants and needs should carry the most weight. I think you're on the right track. You may not have handled every moment perfectly in the past but you are human and doing your best. It's up to each person to decide when and how to support you or subscribe but just know that there are people here who care about you and your well-being and understand that we all struggle sometimes. I hope you'll get through this and find the right way for you to carry on going forward. I'm so glad you're making your mental and physical health a priority so keep it up. You've given us so much great content over the years so thank you for that. Sending as much love and support as I can while you navigate the future.

Artist37

I'm sorry, but your the only one being combative here. No one is telling you not to share your opinion, in fact I only suggested that there were more constructive ways to do so. Your initial comment to PD suggesting not to quit Drama/Anime midway through DID come across entitled (note I never said you WERE entitled). You told the first person to "fix your attitude" when they criticized you for their comment. And by "attack mode" I meant your attitude from the start was so aggressive. And on top of all that you were immediately out of line because you hadnt even watched the video yet.. so you were already on the offensive from the start. Nothing inherently wrong with your suggestion, in fact I pretty much agree with all of it...but maybe be careful of your tone in the future.

Sarahvtae

I'm not doing this any longer. Like i said...my comment has nothing to do with you. If YOU portrayed my comment as rude, then that's a YOU problem. I've clarified myself multiple times already. I don't have to defend my way of writing (or my tone) to you, since that will take a long time to explain. Like i said...simply leave me alone and go on with your day.

Venus

i feel like your the only other person on this page that agrees with me and your comments have been very kind. it is very frustrating to be paying money for a service and not get what you were promised and you are valid for voicing that. I LITERALLY only pay for his Patreon BECAUSE OF KDRAMA/ANIME and the occasional life update. If he stops then I will simply no longer be on this page (unless he makes a channel just for his career). These responses to your comments are entitled and gross. If you pay for a service you are well within customer rights to give feedback and you didn't even tell anyone what to do. You just made suggestions.

Venus

@Artist37 How do you have tone through text? Just because you're sensitive and have trouble reading clear respectful English and you have an attitude in your head that is a personal problem. Grow a backbone.

Venus

he should have a kdrama poll, an anime poll and 1-3 kpop polls and then create his own schedule based off these polls. maybe 3-4 videos a week on whatever days he chooses unless he feels like he can do more. Sundays and saturdays could be days he doesnt post (or whatever day he has for relaxing). this sounds more achievable than what he's been doing. also $5-$10 isnt a lot but i pay $15-$20 a month for kdrama content. that is a lot of money.

Portz

Well thanks for your concern, I've alr unsubscribed. If you want to support his inconsistency, go ahead. Also not trying to be rude, but the last I checked, I didn't ask for your opinion.

Emma 💕

I've personally never needed variety content. That being said, Listening Parties are such a unique part of your content. You have so much in depth knowledge about the industry and the groups. I adore them so much, so I'd be sad of those changed. Maybe just do the Listening Parties that you REALLY want to engage with? I happily listen to LPs with groups I don't normally listen to. That's how much I value your opinion.

Emma 💕

Love the idea of a weekly show! I've always felt like there was a blank space for true kpop commentary

Shayla Lackey

I’ve been supporting PD for years and I understand mental health issues. That’s why I am here. If you unsubscribed then why are you still here? Also, you commented on a public platform, I don’t need your permission or need you to care for me to reply to you. Don’t like replies? Get off the internet.

angel313

i was under the impression that people are kpop fans in the way they stan certain groups, not that they enjoy all kpop cuz its kpop, idk if that makes sense so im sorry if no one understands this but for example if someone stans 5 groups they will consume content for those 5 groups only, is there people that are keeping up with all/most kpop groups? it sounds really crazy to me that people expect you (or reactors in general) to react to every group, and i dont mean stages/variety etc only but comebacks and debuts too, there is just no way someone can keep up with every album or release in the kpop industry, its WAY too huge. having said that i think you really should react mostly to the groups u enjoy the best, like maybe not cut out completely the possibility to react to a new group or an artist which u havent connected in the past but just mainly focusing on the groups u like the most (something like ur top 10? or maybe 15) in my opinion that could reduce stress

Artist37

Wow, what?...I'm really trying not to be rude, so I apologize if it comes off the wrong way.... (what's that? Am I implying their might be a certain tone to what Im about to say?)...but are you being serious? Tone is literally a LITERARY device (google 'tone as a literary device')...tone can DEFINITELY come across through text....yet oftentimes it's also why some people misunderstand others in comment sections. And I'm not being sensitive...OP's comment and responses came across in a certain way to me and I called it out with the way they were responding to others, and not completely respectfully as you noted. I've been very respectful, yet you come at me criticizing my reading comprehension? Lol. I'd like to note I agreed with OP, I only recommended they be more constructive with suggestions so that there are no future misunderstandings...and to actually watch the update videos before commenting. If someone tells you to 'fix your attitude', what kind of tone do you think that would have if actually spoken to you directly?

Sarahvtae

Move on. You're talking about my "tone", but did you ever consider the tone of the original reply? "What are you on about" isn't a nice thing to say, which is why why i said "PLEASE fix your attitude". And you once again continue to completely twist things in your reply... My comment was never "not constructive". I would argue, it's one of the most constructive comments on this post. I've said it at least 5 times now...MY COMMENT IS AN OVERALL OPINION, NOT JUST FOR THIS SPECIFIC POST. So idk why you're so obsessed with me (not)watching this video. Move on pls- from my comment and from the ppl defending me in the comments. Have a nice day/night.

denise den

PD just wanted to say I first watched your reactions as they were the most honest! You were meh about a day6 comeback but you were omg! For onf who are quite unknown, also omg to lucy flowering. I think you have to go back to your roots and be true to yourself! Like what you like, not what people tell you too. Be yourself always ! Just do what you want as best as you can

Artist37

Well that comment wasn't even directed at you, first of all. I was respecting your request to leave you alone. I've ALSO said there is nothing wrong with your opinion and I AGREED with you. However, YOU are the one trying to silence me and others from criticizing you. I'll leave it at that and go back to leaving you alone...however when others reply to me I feel I'm well within my right to respond, especially considering this is a PUBLIC forum and not your own personal account. Just as your tone came across wrong to me, you've obviously taken mine wrong as well, I feel like I've been fairly respectful to you all things considered, you just aren't capable of handling the tiniest bit of criticism but your very much willing to give it. You have a nice day as well! :)

Eririn

I’m not able to watch the entire video yet, so I apologize if what I’m about to say isn’t exactly pertinent. 😅 I just wanted to say that my absolute favorite videos of yours to watch are Kulture Studies and Listening Parties, though! I especially love Listening Parties because your love for music is so contagious, and that always puts a huge smile on my face. It’s fun to discover new songs from artists that I’m not super familiar with, too. I’d never want you to keep doing anything that stresses you out, but I do hope that those videos stick around in some shape or form!

tamkan

i hope you get better physically and mentally! and i realllllllllly hope you dont stop anime and drama club. i love watching those with you. i look forward to them all the time. :')

Portz

Haha could say the same to you. If you know it's a public platform, I don't need permission to say anything I want. You understand mental issue, good for you. You do you. Don't like other people's comments? Get off the internet.

Shayla Lackey

The thing is though, you said you’re already unsubscribed💀 so why exactly are you still here? To be hateful. Imagine not liking how someone does things but instead of just leaving to not deal with it anymore, you constantly check their page to leave nasty comments. Get a grip and move on with your life.

Jenn B

I wish you’d just do MV reactions on YouTube and have people pay here on Patreon for non MV reactions /: a lot of people on YouTube miss your regular reactions. I get it’s more complicated than that as it’s your source of income. You haven’t addressed anything on there either they might not be paying customers but I think they would also like to know
