Something I’ll be discussing soon and I’d love to hear your thoughts on the following subjects…

  • What do you think about the announced “NOW THAT’S WHAT I CALL K-POP” album from the company “NOW THAT’S WHAT I CALL MUSIC”???
  • What are your personal thoughts on the new ZEROBASEONE/AESPA/SEVENTEEN/IVE/TRIPLES/XDINARYHEROES/&TEAM comebacks?
  • This is based on articles that have been cropping up my way: “Is K-Pop On The Decline?” The biggest points being brought up is the “westernization” of K-Pop music, criticisms on live singing (LE SSERA’s Coachella performance is the common thing cited in these articles), “music videos all being the same”, and “too many groups all sounding the same”, some even specific things citing how “bigbang” or “2ne1” would be rolling in their graves. I’d love to hear YOUR guys’ thoughts from actual K-Pop fans! This is a safe space, and I’d love to hear your thoughts on the matter whether it’s in “agreement” or “against” that statement (and that question in and of itself is pretty broad!)
  • What are your thoughts on the recent concluded hit K-Drama “Queen of Tears”? Why did you love it? Do you recommend it? Do you think I’d like it/if so why? (No spoilers please!)

I’ll be sharing my thoughts on these various subjects, this will be a public podcast, and I’ll be sharing some of your thoughts as part of the conversation as well (names won’t be mentioned!

Zonas is Okee

tripleS is the main thing I want you to talk about, they are unique in the kpop scene right now, they really have no groups that are like them

Zonas is Okee

On a side note, we can guess that you reacted to 'Girls Never Die' by tripleS?

Sophie

The TripleS comeback is probably my favorite of the year so far. I feel like with every comeback they are filling the hole of my favorite girl group ever since Loona disbanded. Seeing all 24 of them together is just insane. They are all so talented and i haven’t seen anything like them in a while.

pmreez

Aside from my faves and biases, tripleS really is a breathe of fresh air for me. Music wise and just the whole 24 members! Hope you check out the album! I think you’ll love it

Ashley

I’m not sure you’ll like Queen of Tears but I think you’ll really love Twinkling Watermelon! It explored the dynamics between children/parents but also friendship, youth, finding yourself, and pursuing passion. It’s also entirely centered around music!,

Amanda Bernström

i really liked zb1 new song, fresh and cute!! And also enhypen who released a special album for their webtoon. Fatal Trouble is probably my favorite song this year so far

Amy ✨️

I'm actually a new Xdinary heroes fan and it was the day of their release when I just binged their entire discography. So upon listening to troubleshooting it was just their sound, and it felt so natural listening to the album. Every song is just so so good, I love it! One of my few 'no skip' artists. Also not mentioned in the list but Enhypen's special album 'memorabilia' is that good that it may be my favourite EP of theirs

Lone 1022

Girls never die mv is a masterpiece ✨

Beth LaRue

Not on your list but I love the mini album Enhypen released today

orbit wavs

Truly 5th gen leaders, they not even from the big 4. I always amazed with not only the girls but the company aswell. Its really genius on how they operate. People are blinded by nft hatred, but i do think it is a smart moves especially you have 24 kids under you.

orbit wavs

It almost look like darker loona - butterflies performance wise, it is a masterpiece

orbit wavs

Pd if you wanna watch tripleS GND performance, watch the 1theK suit dance instead.

Lone 1022

Ikr! It has that kind of feeling- The whole album is Masterpiece also

Edward Lee

When I heard about the NOW cd my first thought was "that company still exists?"

Edward Lee

The TripleS comeback is GREAT....but what's super interesting to observe is Jaden jeong seems to know what he's doing with the timing of all their content for this comeback (big shows like weekly idol and a 1theK variety show as well as popular MZ YT channels like that education guy and physical gallery which is getting a bump bc of qwer). One thing that's kind of cool with 24 members is they're all kinda going wild during the entertainment segments to be able to secure airtime so all of it is max entertainment bc these girls seem to have been given the green light to go crazy and be entertaining as possible

ditto

**WARNING BEFORE READING, THIS IS A VERY VERY LONG COMMENT** I'm gonna answer like 2-3 questions with this one. tripleS: I love this comeback so much! I have been following tripleS since the very very beginning and this is honestly like everything I could have hoped for in terms of the first OT24 comeback. The M/V, the title track (which we the fans voted for and we definitely made the right call), the b-sides, just everything. I love this group with my whole heart and I am so glad I have found them because they constantly keep me interested and wanting more from them. I just continue to be enamored by this group and I cannot wait to continue to see them grow more than they already are. Is K-Pop on the Decline: This topic is something I could probably talk about for a long time but it's something I am going to try to keep short but I know will end up being very long. Okay to start, I don't think K-Pop is on the decline, in fact, I believe it is actually rising more than it ever has. We have K-Pop headlining major festivals like Lollapalooza, being on the big stages at other major festivals like LE SSERAFIM at Coachella. If K-Pop was truly on a decline, we would not be seeing these group perform as these major western festivals. However, I think K-Pop is losing creativity. While K-Pop has always been a business, I believe that creativity is what truly expands and evolves the business. It's why I am in love with groups like tripleS, just the mere idea of the group is something we have never seen in K-Pop and it brings something new to the space. You have groups like LE SSERAFIM, TXT, IVE, Seventeen, Kiss of Life, I could go on, pushing the boundaries and creating new, incredible things that keep us wanting more. I think the main company that really makes me believe K-Pop is losing creativity is YG. I know I am gonna get slammed for this opinion, but I just don't feel anything new creatively from BABYMONSTER. My issue is NOT with the girls. I think they are very talented and they have proven that they are talented. My problem comes from YG themselves, running the same formula they have been running since Big Bang and 2NE1. The line you said of "Big Bang and 2NE1 would be rolling in their graves" I honestly don't disagree with. YG continues this same formula because it makes money. Back to what I said earlier, K-Pop is a business. YG is not going to risk trying something new in case they don't profit as much as they would doing their same old same old. However, I think YG would profit anyways no matter what they put out from any group. For the last almost 20 years, YG has had pretty much the same damn sound for every one of their groups. Music is meant to show creativity, show what new things you can show to us, the audience, the listeners. When you repeat the same formula, it gets boring. I have no excitement for anything coming from YG (except AKMU because Chanhyuk actually makes their stuff not YG) because I already know what it is going to sound like. I want to like BABYMONSTER so badly, I really do, but I'm just not feeling something new and that is completely YG's fault. Again, like the groups I mentioned earlier and even more like Aespa, Loossemble, ARTMS, BOYNEXTDOOR, etc, these groups keep being creative, trying something new and it keeps me coming back. If more K-Pop companies actually started caring about the art they are making and putting in effort and creativity, K-Pop would be thriving even more than it already is. Instead, many companies like HYBE, SM, YG, etc, spend time trying to make the next TikTok hit. Creativity is what drives this genre and the more we continue to lose it, that is when K-Pop will really be in a decline. Live Singing Criticism: This one will probably get me smacked too. There is nothing wrong with lip syncing. Many artists do it on places like music shows, it's totally fine. At concerts is where the artists should be singing live and the problem arises when the artists cannot sing at the level they are meant to live. I am a debut FEARNOT, I am not going to sit here and act like Coachella Week 1 was them at their best, it was not. Week 2 was a massive improvement and I am so glad they killed it in Week 2. Any artist needs to get the proper training and practice, and I think HYBE is kind of failing in that department. I'm not saying Sakura has to turn into Beyonce or something, but it's clear HYBE is not giving them the training, or just not giving them good enough training. I do also know that the members who did get criticism in LE SSERAFIM (Sakura, Kazuha, and Eunchae) can indeed sing, and they have proved that on many occasions. There is nothing wrong with critiquing them, the problem was it went way beyond criticism and turned into disgusting, violent threats of all kinds. And K-Pop stans love dragging other groups down so this was the perfect opportunity for them to do just that. It's honestly gross I wish a lot of K-Pop stans would just grow up but that's a whole other conversation in itself. Anyways, another problem is that Source Music/HYBE are giving songs that are either A, not the best suited for their vocals or B, the song fits their vocals, the choreo is just insanely difficult making it harder to sing live. Source and HYBE need to find a balance. This goes for all companies too. You have to find a balance between great, eye-catching choreography and being able to sing live while doing said choreo. Source and HYBE clearly suck at finding that balance. That is something I hope they improve on which will benefit not only them but LE SSERAFIM as well. Overall, the criticism was valid, everyone in any group can improve and get better, but instead of dishing out death threats to idols for doing their best, critique them, wish them the best and that you hope to see them improve in the future. That is what will drive idols to want to get better, seeing encouragement and kindness towards them, their profession, and their performances, not bullying and violent therats.

I do feel like 5th gen's music is very westernized but it's more a matter of personal preference than a "decline". Sometimes pop music, by virtue of being popular music, goes in a direction that's not to everyone's liking. It's different enough from 4th gens genre mashing that if not done well I think it does end up on the boring side however - regardless of what you think about 4th gen music, it was never boring. That said, TripleS's comeback and Aespa's pre-release are a breath of fresh air - TripleS's Chiyu is maybe my new favorite song of theirs which is saying something.

I think Queen of tears is an amazing drama. It has a little bit of everything, romance, tragedy, drama, comedy, etc. The cast is incredible and it’s very entertaining; also the scenes are sooo beautiful, I think you would have a lot to talk about the cinematography, the edition, etc; it’s such a well made drama. And obviously is a studio dragom production, so the quality is 10/10

ethan

The IVE EP is one of my favorites of all time, they keep getting exponentially better every comeback

NOW THAT’S WHAT I CALL K-POP: There is not much to say… obviously the album is formed in the way to get as many people as possible to get high sales, so the songs there are mainly latest hits. I personally suggested on their Twitter/X post these ones (I share the list down below), because I was thinking about that like: “Let’s make it as an introduction to Kpop throughout the whole history and what all Kpop can actually be + something what led to the creation of Kpop (so that’s why Seo Taiji and Boys are there too (+ Roo’Ra to show something else from that period of time) or even PSY to show that although Gangnam Style is the most famous Kpop song, he isn’t really a Kpop idol, since he comes from under ground hip hop realm). PS: Mind you… the list is still really short, I think there was a limit of suggestions or a total number of songs to be possibly there, so I opened a list I made (with the same intention) for a friend of mine a while ago and I choose literally a few from the whole list: BIGBANG - Fantastic Baby 2NE1 - I Am The Best Super Junior - Mr. Simple DBSK - Mirotic SNSD - Gee KARA - Step KARD - Cake NCT U - The 7th Sense H.O.T. - Age of Violence 1TYM - Hot YG Family - Hip Hop Gentlemen Lee Hyori - 10 Minutes Seo Taiji & Boys - Regret of the Times Sistar - So Cool (G)i-dle - Queencard MAMAMOO - Egotistic 4MINUTE - Hate S.E.S. - ('Cause) I'm Your Girl B.A.P - One Shot ATEEZ - Answer : Ode To Joy Topp Dogg - TOPDOG BEAST - Beautiful Night Vixx - Eternity Young Posse - XXL The New Six - Love or Die PSY - Champion Roo'Ra-3!4! COMEBACKS QUESTION: I’ll rather skip this 😅😅 that would make this comment super long. Simply just… æspa has me super hyped up!! “IS K-POP ON THE DECLINE?”: I don’t want to get into the specific topics you mentioned, because those articles saying that (mainly the LE SSERAFIM one) are written in the way to get people angry and to make them click on that + possibly comment too, so the website gain the most of it… But I can provide my point of view on why people may say those words/something similar to that. Well, the thing with Kpop is it is based on repetition and basically always one trend/theme dominating for a while, which creates generations of Kpop (that being very simply put), so it has always been “the same again and again”… But people don’t realize it immediately, when they enter this realm of Kpop, because it takes some time. Usually it happens once their groups get older and themselves get older too, because to be fair Kpop is focused on a specific age spectrum, so basically it is meant to be like “you get older with the groups you like and once both of you reach the older age, your interest will decline, because their activity decline as well”. I am not saying this is 100% case for everyone, but it play its role for sure. I mean, there is a reason why groups/artists stop being active after some time and if they are big enough to continue for longer time than it is usual, you can notice their style and discography changes as well as they (and their fans) have grown up. But why do we get to hear about this lately way more than before? Well… obviously the fact that Kpop has reached its global potential/form makes it like this… Because of that way more people may start to say those statements, so purely on the numerical aspect there is way more people to say the same thing out loud, although it is the same thing that has been said before many times already… it is always once in a while (after a generation, let’s say). And here comes THE MAIN REASON! As I said: “Kpop has reached its global potential/form”… I would say all 4 Kpop generations were leading up to this moment that Kpop becomes what it is, because when you think about it in the way what Kpop is and how it is formed, it makes perfect sense, because it has always been about putting many different things from all around the world into one fusion. There are many definitions/explanations what Kpop is, but the baseline factors are taking aspects of Western music + the idea of boy/girl groups and combining them with idol scene, which had been a thing in Japan (which is a country close to Korea in many aspects) for a while before Korean idol scene started. So the “westernization thing” is more like: “Kpop is coming home” (although this may sound funny, I know). But when you think about it… Seo Taiji and Boys served as a giant inspiration for later on Kpop labels to create Kpop and Kpop groups. The revolutionary thing about Seo Taiji and Boys was bringing overseas/American genres to Korea to change the Korean music scene top to bottom. And then when Lee Soo Man created Korean idol scene/Kpop with H.O.T., the training system and “being created by label aspect” were factors taken from Jpop/Japanese idol scene. So if you think about it, throughout the history of Kpop, Kpop started to be big in Japan and it was only about time to be big in the US/in the world. The reason why it took longer was the cultural aspect that Korea and Japan is close to each other in many things. But at the end of the day, all of this happening right now is not something new nor “wrong”. Now let’s get to the idea of Kpop reaching its final form! Kpop was evolving with each generation and each generation brought something new. And as we can say this about life itself… Time is a flat circle and history/anything repeats itself. So based on that and the fact that lately there are many similarities to the 1st generation, I would say we are now witnessing the Kpop evolution all over again, but with one big difference that now Kpop is happening on the global scale. Basically the fifth generation is the first generation on the global scale, where we have the history of the 4 generations serving as a form of base to build on. So because of that it may feel like: “We stopped to grow/There is nothing new”, but actually… it is all starting to get crazy now!! We are just at the point again, where it all started, so obviously the “early moments” cannot happen super fast, although obviously it will be faster and the “re-new/refreshed” things are yet to come!

Regarding the "kpop is declining", I do feel that although it is not exactly declining, since we still have groups getting a lot of attention and opportunities like main stages and articles, it is not rising and improving either. I agree a lot with the comment above from Ditto as it seems we are lacking creativity and movement to do something outside the box. I share the feeling towards YG for example, as it does seem they are repeating over and over the same sound and the same concept with their groups, especially the ggs and that was one of the reasons why I, personally, don't anticipate their comebacks anymore (I used to like BP a lot until it became boring to me and I could not connect with babymonster either). But that is not just a problem with one agency or another. It seems that a lot of the agencies are trying to emulate concepts and sounds that were huge hits at some point and trying to ride the same wave of tiktok viral videos and challenges without actually creating that spark of innovation that kpop used to explore more. I also feel that a lot of comebacks from the past years were just too much. Groups trying to showcase a lot in each comeback, trying to make it harder, with choreos ever so difficult, with the song having all the genres and all the sounds at the same time, pushing for always the bigger, the grand, the explosive, that that just became the new normal and things are just too loud and chaotic. I do love loud music and songs that are experimental and mix different things but I think it just became saturated and expected and boring. We do have groups that are constantly trying things and concepts and are pushing forward to show their talents and their range, not only by exploring different genres but trying to do things a bit differently than the rest and I'm glad we have them (like TXT for example. We never know the direction they are going when they release something new and that is very exciting). I think we are in need of a different view and perspective and it is interesting to see some of the newer groups going into that direction however, I think this new wave is still on its early stages to push kpop forward. My wish is that agencies would allow their artists to be more free and involved in their creations, so we could get a bit more of their expression in their art and have a stronger connection to what they are presenting as well. Regarding the criticism, it was WAY out of hand to the point it was not a criticism just pure hatred being sent to the artists (especially with Le Sse). The first day was not great but they compensated with charisma and choreo to make things interesting, they were trying and you can definitely see the improvement later. It may not be the amazing live vocals people were expecting but it was clearly live and that takes some courage as well. I hope the industry will take this not to do a witch hunt as they do sometimes, but to actually help the artists to receive a better training and support as well. And I also hope people would stop hating on groups and comparing them to clips of other artist that were most of the time with clear strong backtracks as if they were examples of live singing. I'm not saying this as to say that using backtrack is wrong as I do believe they are necessary when dancing and to help replicate effects and things going on in the track that you cannot replicate live. I just want people to not compare orange to apples and use this to send hate and as an opportunity to bash groups that are "competition". Queen of tears is still on my to watch list but I am excited to check it out

The thing with Baemon will depend on their first comeback. For a debut I understand they wanted to keep the imagine of their previous girl groups, so I am okay with that, but that would not work for me all the time. When BLACKPINK was similar to 2NE1 it could be because of Teddy having his style. Something as in the case of immediately recognizing J.Y.Park’s work. Or he (Teddy) could have been asked to do it similar, because YG needed a replacement for 2NE1 because of the situation 2NE1 ended up in and YG not taking a proper care there towards them… But that will be answered once Teddy debuts his own girl group, where YG cannot say anything to him now (The Black Label is not anymore a subsidiary, they are just associate company, because Teddy bought the biggest stock share from YG). So if Baemon continues do be in this way, yeah… it will be just trying to be heavily inspired/borderline straight up copying Teddy’s work. And if they want to do so… they could at least make double title tracks, one “the expected one” (Sheesh) and then “the unique one” (Like That, if that was a title track too).

**long comment warning + I'm sick so my sentences might not make sense** RE: K-Pop on decline/Recent comebacks I think the big groups/companies are struggling with standing out and being unique, in the sense that they KNOW their fanbases are so big that pretty much anything they put out is guaranteed to sell a lot. This can leave fans feeling unfulfilled, like they just got an album tossed as them, and I'm sure the artists/idols don't feel much better. It's just companies being hype trains for specific trends that wear out quickly. On the other hand, to the people who don't like these trends, there's still PLENTY of groups out there's doing unique and fun things, you JUST have to expand the amount of groups you listen to. Groups like ONF, DXMON, NOMAD, M.O.N.T, LUN8 and TAN are all groups that have put out stuff that is just uniquely THEM this year (AND they have different sounds from each other) but groups like them tend to get skipped over so people can complain about a much bigger group not doing "enough". Like... it's just frustrating as a mainly nugu stan lol just give them a chance. Semi-related, I truly don't think there's such thing as a "bad" group, just a group that's not your style. They all train for years to do this stuff. And, who knows, maybe that group you're dismissing, for one reason or another, will eventually put out an album that IS your style. Idk I just wish people would keep expanding their music horizons and not stop at one or two big/popular groups. Also, to further expand on some recent comebacks and my personal opinion, I was pretty underwhelmed by the new ZB1 album. I only liked three songs. It's disappointing for me since I loved they're debut album so much, then Melting Point was an 8/10, and now You Had Me At Hello is just very... "meh, that was an album". Wish I liked it, truly, because I love them </3 but you can't help what you don't like when it comes to music 😔 RE: now that'd what I call k-pop CD Idk, I think it's fun. If I was a kid, I would want a fun compilation CD like that. I don't think there's anything particularly negative or odd about it. I hope it'll introduce some kids to k-pop, if they happen to still have parents who buy them CDs lol. There's definitely a non-zero chance of that

Edward Lee

Queen of Tears is an excellent drama not for anything new or inventive but just bc they nailed the ML and FL with a combo of a) first and foremost GREAT acting b) actors that the general public LOVES and both of whom have A+++ status and c) absolutely detestable/hate-able antagonists. Are there cliche kdrama tropes all over? Sure. Are there things that seem repetitive? Sure. But, the success of this drama was mainly (like 90%) bc of KJW and KSH. Of course there were compelling side characters (this is actually the 3rd time the actress who played his mother in law has played his mother in law and the break out character was KJWs aunt for sure), and the B (?, not sure if they're QUITE the b couple) couple are both excellent actors who normally would either be the main bad guy or the FL in Kwak Dong Yeon and Lee Joo Bin. And this is probably only for you and a few people in the comments but the korean dialogue is QUITE good but that's not surprising, it's the same writers that wrote Crash Landing, Sweet Home, and Vincenzo bt the three of them

Nathan

Adding on to this, something that is semi-related to the "decline of k-pop". The rise of "TikTok dance challenges" and the decline of actual VLOGS BEING PUT OUT ON YOUTUBE CHANNELS sucks. I hate it so much. I want to see VLOGS of my favorite groups, not 15 second dance challenges. I KNOW THEY CAN DANCE, I DONT NEED TO SEE IT OVER AND OVER AGAIN. I actually have a theory that this ties into the shorter training periods for groups nowadays. Vlogs require synergy and the ability to bounce off of each other to be entertaining, but groups aren't getting enough time to be together and learn about each other before they're debuting, so they stick to short-form, low-effort content that can still rake in views. I think is a MASSIVE downgrade and I get myself very angry about this topic lol. I just miss when vlogs, like what ASTRO did, were the meta.

ditto

Oh I agree, I guess after Batter Up I figured we would've been past that. I think we are at a point where YG can try something new. I would have hoped Baemon would have been that, especially after bragging about bringing in like 30 new producers. Just hope their next comeback is truly something new or I won't find myself coming back to them that much.

wueuwue

I really like xdinary heroes’ new album, the sounds are really good and there are different genres, this is my favourite album so far i hope we have time for a listening party for this album ^^💕

About the music: This year only a couple groups impressed me with their music, and most of the comebacks have been boring to me. I think only one group always impress me with their musics, they never disappoint, I’m always excited when they’re having a comeback. And that group is SF9. They are what I personnally consider the “kpop sound”. Everything about their title track to their bsides is cohesive and tells a story. Their latest comeback “BIBORA” is exactly that, it sound like them but there is also something new and fresh. And it annoys me so much that they’re not recognised enough for their amazing discography. They are so versatile but keep a touch of them in every songs they released. Among the recently debuted groups only a couple of them interests me: Kiss Of Life, Triple S and AMPERS&ONE. I think they’re really the only new groups I pay attention to every time they release something, otherwise I keep going back to older groups/artists. Regarding Lesserafim’s music I loved their debut Fearless but their combacks after that weren’t my taste, I found them sounding like any other songs kpop and non kpop. I feel like companies only want to make music that will trend on social media’s and only care about charting and making numbers in general. You can see that in the shorter songs and the music sounding similar because those companies thinking a certain type of sound will automatically trend. For Live vocals: I personally don’t care if the artists sings live every performances, they can rely on playbacks/backtrack if they are tired or else, I don’t care. What’s more questioning to me is the artists who are sounding bad every time doing a live performances, is it due to their training not being focused enough on it, should they take more vocal lessons. I know a performance is always more agreable when the artists sound good. Regarding Queen Of Tears: Did I love the show ? I loved it. I was so excited for new episodes every week. What made this show is really the different actors not just the male and female leads, but the whole cast. The chemistry between all of them was so great, they are all insane actors. The story in itself wasn’t insane but the dept of those characters and their different relations, was I think the main point of this show. Would I rewatch it ? Obviously.

PD, some additional information about the M/V. The whole underlying premise of the video is that the girls are in constant contact with death (suicide or otherwise), however, this never comes to the climax creating the phrase "Girls Never Die." Chapter 1 As you can also see in the video are the ants on Soomin's hand, these represent that she is rotting away just like the bird in the next shot of Jiwoo (the meaning of this is that we are too preoccupied with Social Media and want to assume too much from others). They also indicate that they want to hide their pain and difficulties through makeup, and you can see one of the girls (I can't see exactly who this is) running away from her problems in the beginning. The girls also look down at the grave in which they themselves are dancing. This could have a double meaning, either this is about burying themselves or just burying their past (more on that in Chapter 3) Chapter 2 This section shows the contact with suicide. You see Yooyeon sitting in the bathtub and contemplating her worries until the moment she decides to drown herself (which of course fails). Then you see Hayeon crossing the street where she gets hit by a car, or just barely. Also, the lyrics indicate that no matter how much pain/difficulty they experience, they come out of it as a stronger/better person Dance Break From my own interpretation, the white outfits symbolize the guardian angels (this could be a reference to Acid Angels of Asia) and the white light represents the gateway to the afterlife. So it is like a dance for life and death. Chapter 3 You see the girls looking up to find out if there is a way back/out of the grave. You also see a crow pass by several times. These are known to come upon death, but also symbolize a sign of hope. As a representation of a crow, S1 Seoyeon and S24 Jiyeon (who's real name is Suhyeon) are both given a wing of a crow. This indicates that TripleS is a group that will give hope to each other through thick and thin and to the fans. Yooyeon then says "Do you want to start over?" to indicate that there is always an opportunity to see the positive in something. After this, 24 crows fly away, aka TripleS. My thoughts This is a debut that I don't think can be surpassed anytime soon. I also have to say that the song gets better and better the more you listen to it. The choreography is truly another masterpiece, and every time I watch the M/V again I look with amazement and can even get emotional. In my opinion, it's a 15/10 When I also look at the story behind it, this also reminds me a bit of how you share your feelings from time to time and how you have been in life over the past few years. But that every time you still manage to see the positive in something, always want to improve yourself and become the new HYBE (which doesn't seem very wise to me right now, so i'll put JYP, YG or SM instead) If you want to know a little more about the girls I recommend you to watch their 2 “seasons” of Badge War (its 4 episodes in season 1 and season 2 is due to be released on 24-05-2024). It is a very entertaining show that goes to death (at least not far from it). But you know it “Girls Never Die”. Older KPop is still available (curate those playlists to your hearts content). All things created from the lives and influences of others evolves; However, like fashion many musical styles can cycle back around in a fresh way. So, if you don't like where things are headed with some groups right now just wait a little while longer to see what happens next. As for Kdramas, I would suggest watching Twinkling Watermelon. Wonderful characters, strong personalities, quirky humor, themes of "meeting challenges head on and overcoming" play a great part, but most importantly the love of music place a central role throughout all the unique twists and turns.

Queen of Tears was a great drama! I watched it because It's Okay to Not Be Okay and Vincenzo are two of my favorite dramas, and the actors who play Moon Gang Tae and Jang Han Seo are starring in it. Also, Bomi, my bias in Apink had a supporting role in the drama. Because of the cast, I was really excited going in and had high expectations, and the show did not disappoint. The plot was interesting, the actors had great chemistry, the emotional moments hit hard but there were also some delightfully funny moments too. I would definitely recommend giving it a watch.
