Ugh they just cannot miss it’s crazy. In terms of the MV, I don’t understand the deep lore behind everything, but based on the teasers the concept is “find the real aespa” basically. So there’s multiple versions of them that the surveillance footage is trying to find the real one. So that’s what Winter’s alter ego line, and that scene, is referring to. The video is nuts. I guess my only thing about it is the use of AI (there’s a team listed in the credits). Lots of the art, like the angelic painting thing you talked about, as well as a lot of the face blurring of the dancers seems to have been done with AI. Very creepy, and to me uncomfy, but obviously it fits the concept. But anyway the moral of the story is no one is doing it like aespa and their team rn. The undisputed queens of kpop

Since Lee Soo Man left/was kicked out of SM, they (SM) stopped focusing on creating SMCU universe for both æspa and their all company. With that they stopped their SMCU Episodes related to æspa storyline. With Spicy it kind of felt like they switched to the real world (it was their first title track music video to fully take place in the real world). And from that on there are just random references to the old concept. With Drama we got lyric references, but that was it. So probably with this one it is like truly “finding the new self”/new beginning
